We love everything about Naaman's Our server, Brandy B. took the time to go over the menu with us and let us know her favorite menu items. We could tell she loved working there and was proud of the food items. There was a gentleman that came in right after us and it was his first time there too. Brandy gave him the same top notch service. After he finished eating, we heard him tell Brandy " I know BBQ. This was the best I've had." MY husband and I live in Shreveport but we will take a drive to eat at great restaurants. We go to Marshall on weekends to eat catfish at Porky's. They off BBQ as well, but like I stated eari earlier, Naaman's is our new BBQ place now. Good food, good flavor. The waitress was prompt and stayed at our table frequently, even as the place filled up for lunch. I had the BBQ pulled pork, it comes with slaw and is served naked so you can put sauce on it yourself. The buns are good, too, and held up well. The pork was good, good flavor not overcooked or oversmoked. Hubby enjoyed his sandwich too. Can't remember the name red-headed something... The cheese corn is surprisingly good. Think more broccoli casserole with corn instead of broccoli, it's more like that than corn casserole. The sauce is good. BBQ sauce is pretty standard southern sauce, and the mustard sauce suprised me, I liked it. Not heavy on the vinegar like I expected. Both were great. I went to try Naaman's after hearing so much about it. I was disappointed. I got the two meat dinner with potatoes and beans. I chose brisket and ribs plus I got a taste of the corn. I have had better brisket and ribs. I was not impressed with any of the sides. I can go closer to my home and have better brisket, ribs, beans, potato and corn. I wonder if transporting the food every day from Texarkana changes the flavor of the food. I'll stick to barbecue that is closer to my home in Shreveport. read more

The red headed step child and the bishop sandwiches were delicious and a lot of food. We sat at the bar and the bartender took our drink order quickly as wewere deciding on our meals. This is Cafeteria Oven style BBQ, meaning electric or gas oven cooked and not Wood-Pit old school BBQ. Nice clean and friendly service, little pricey like most BBQ restaurants are now days. We sampled several side options which are small portions and frozen-bagged fresh, beans were lacking in flavor but have a peppery bite. Potato salad and Corn casserole one star. Sliced Brisket with bread and sauce was two stars. Ribs were rather small (very small) and sauced glazed which I don't prefer if given a choice so two stars. *(A Heads-Up, the Ribs come pre-sauced oven glazed and extremely sticky)....you'll need Go-Joe hand cleaner to remove the stickness from your fingers. Don't drive up and expect a nice whiff of wood smoke, there's no Smoke-Stack or Cut-Wood on the premises. Over all it's a ok to fair choice for lunch only if you're on Airline Drive for another reason. read more

I had high expectations because this place is always crowded. It was fair. No yummy smoke-pit smell since there is no pit. The interior is eclectic with 2 rooms; Several TVs for viewing. Our waitress was ok but not attentive--my lackluster tea sat empty until I flagged her down for a refill. Brisket sandwich had thick slices , but could have used more.. You have to pay for a side with the sandwich.The pulled pork was tender but not very flavorful. Sides are small. I did not care for the beans. Mac and Cheese is bland and not warm. For nine years I have been looking for good BBQ. I think I tried them all here in Shreveport. Well today I found it, at Naaman's BBQ in Bossier City. Some others have been OK, but this BBQ knocked my socks off. I ordered pulled pork. First, the helping was good, when I bit into it it just melted in my mouth. Very, tender nice and warm. Some places have the meat sitting on the counter then slice it and cover it with hot BBQ sauce. My sandwich meat had just a hint of smoke. even the bun was warm. I had choices of BBQ sauce on the table. The service was very good the gal from Cleaveland checked on me be sure I was happy. Just left Naamans. The turkey was really good. Sides were generous. To the people who said sides were skimpy, I don't consider a full cup a small portion. They were generous. Comes in a well filled paper tray. 5 of the 6 of us had to go boxes. To the person who claimed to have paid $50 for a 2 meat plate, the plate itself costs $16. There is an up charge of 1.75 for brisket. Not sure what else you had that inflated your bill, but it wasn't the entree. read more

100% the best barbecue within 150 miles. I've eaten at many barbecue places, the sliced beef was super tender, excellent sauce, beans were top end. The only negative, is pricing.
