NAAN is a solid 10/10. The buffet price can vary depending on the day, which is understandable, though at times it can feel a bit expensive. That said, the buffet is absolutely worth it compared to ordering individual dishes. This is hands down the best Indian/Pakistani food around--better than Malika and Ma'am Saab. The korma is excellent, the vegetable curries are amazing, and of course the naan is outstanding. Even their Indo-Chinese options shine; the Chicken Manchurian is a must-try. I've tried a variety of dishes and have enjoyed everything so far. We did have one takeout experience where a curry order was messed up, which was disappointing--especially since it ended up being our dinner that night and my husband didn't like the replacement. That said, they did refund us and made it right, which I appreciated. The naan itself is excellent, the staff has always seemed friendly, and the atmosphere inside is really nice. I'll be completely honest and say that I always told people I "didn't like" Indian food. A friend invited me to try NAAN at Nexton and I was so hesitant, but figured I could at least get a mango lassi and eat naan & rice and be fine. Boy were my expectations exceeded! My mom and I had a reservation, but when we walked in at 5 pm it was pretty empty. Though, quickly as the evening went on the restaurant became packed. The inside of the restaurant is decorated nicely and added to the experience for sure. There only seemed to be two-three workers working as both servers and hosts, but they worked very well and made sure everyone was attended to. Our server was able to give menu recommendations and accommodated my request to add chicken to my dish after I already ordered. My mom and I ordered the Shrimp Korma, Chicken Saag, and Garlic Naan to share. She also ordered a Masala Chai that I sipped and was in love with. All the dishes had incredible flavor, and both the chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly. The rice was not the best basmati rice I have had, but the dishes themselves were exceptional so I did not mind. The portions are also sizable, which is great for sharing and for leftovers. My hubby and I were in our way to eat next door at Ruby's bagels when we smelled the delicious smells coming from Naan. We quickly changed our minds and saw a large buffet with a huge variety of Indian foods! My favorite was the chicken masala paired with roti! The samosas and pakora apps were spot on. My biryani and garlic naan were perfect. The others had a paneer entree and butter chicken that were prepared very well. I've been to the original location but this was newly open in Nexton so we came here for date night. We were pleasantly surprised by this experience! The dining room is clean and beautiful. They offer a lot of seating and it wasn't super busy for a Monday night. Their menu had so much variety and dishes I've never heard of before but was excited to try. I picked out a white and red for us to try, Indian which I've never had before as a Somm. Personally, I do not recommend and did not enjoy the flavor profiles of them. However, they were drinkable and didn't ruin our experience. The dosa, OMG - HUGE! Crispy, light and flavorful. You get little bites of diced onion, garlic and herbs on the inside and all the dipping sauces offered. It was a great appetizer to start with. It was so hard to pick but we went with the chicken tikka dry with the sauce on side along with the Vindaloo curry. Holy cow I was in flavor town heaven. Every bit was packed with tons of spices and flavored perfectly. Then you take a piece of the garlic naan and dip it into the sauce and I was in heaven. One critique I do have is at times I would bite into these chunks of anise or some clove of some sort and that was overwhelming. But overall they cook some amazing Indian food here. I've had Naan before at a baby shower I attended so I knew that everything would be amazing and it WAS! The service was awesome! And the restaurant itself was beautiful. When my daughters and I walked in the door, we were greeted not only by the hostess but also the aromatics. It smelled devine! I'm a gluten-free girly so I was thoroughly excited to see so many GF options. Stopped here for dinner on our way to Columbia and had a great meal. We tried the malai kofta, dal makhani, and chicken curry--all were flavorful and well-prepared. The ambiance was warm and inviting. There was a long wait, which is probably expected on a busy Friday night--we waited about 40-45 minutes after putting our name down. I asked for a side salad of raw onions with lemon and chili, and they were kind enough to accommodate the request. I am a big fan of naan on rivers so was super excited to check out their other location on nexton. Went there for dinner, the ambiance was beautiful. Ordered butter chicken curry, and garlic butter chicken and the assorted naan. Everything was very tasty, which is why we keep coming back! The assorted naan was PERFECTION! We got to try different types and fell in love with the Amristari Kulcha Naan! Stuffed with potato, cheese and cilantro. Service was good, not great, but good. Decided to try this location as I am a regular at their location in North Charleston. Figured it would be the same, but I was surprised to see that it wasn't. On arrival, we stood around for a few minutes while it appeared the hostesses were trying to figure out togo orders. We were then sat at the table closest to the host stand which was not a good location for a table. The wife kept getting bumped and nothing like having people waiting for a table being next to you. The food took some time and didn't taste as good as it did at their other location....I give it grace for being new, but it will be a while before I visit again to give them time to work out the kinks! read more

We were so excited for naan to open up! We have been I think altogether three times so far. I love the size of the restaurant because it is not too big and not too small. Your server is very attentive and prompt. The food is to die for! We always get the lamb vindaloo, eggplant and the cheesy appetizer (I forget the name). We always add the spice option because we love heat! The rupee beer is my favorite and it always pairs so nicely with the delicious food. The ambience was colorful and bright. Upon entrance we noticed how crowded this place was. They opened recently and seem to have attracted a lot of attention. We ordered a variety of dishes, ranging from soup, to several types of appetizers which were plentiful and spicy. I loved the appearance of the dishes, and the portion sizes. The service was ok, I wanted to add another item to my order, the server advised they would return but took quite a while to do so. They were very busy, so I can understand. The food took almost an hour to arrive, it was a long wait before it made it to the table. Again they are new and working out the kinks...Honestly I don't know if the flavors used in the preparation of the dish that I ordered were something I would be in a hurry to reorder. I felt there was a nice amount of heat (spice) but my palate would have loved a touch of sweet or another flavor profile. The chicken was moist and well prepared but I don't know If I love this type of cuisine. I may return to try a different menu item, possibly shrimp. I tried the garlic Naan, it was soft but I wanted a spread or something to liven it up a bit, maybe hummus? Butter? It was a little dry to me. Perhaps this is normal but I wouldn't order the garlic Naan again. We tried the okra fries and they were light slightly crisped and really good. What a messy experience trying to order take away. We love the Northwoods location and were very excited when the Nexton branch opened up just down the road. We ordered online and their page crashed, but the charge went through and so we gave them a ring to verify. We called the number (see photo attached) that was on the order page and the gentleman on the line could not find our order, so we repeated it to him and drove to the Nexton location. After waiting about 20 minutes due to the large line (great for them) the unpleasant man at the reception desk said he didn't have our online (keep in mind they charged our bank) OR the phone order. We showed him the number (see photo) and he said that was their Blufton number and he couldn't help us out. Well, it isn't their Blufton number, it is the Mt. Pleasant location. So some poor chap in Mt. Pleasant is sitting there with about $150 in food that we didn't know was in Mt. P until trying to find out who we spoke with on the phone! I recommend they fix their process and make the webpage accurate to avoid this. Until then, Northwoods it is. read more

Chicken 65 was on the spicy side although they described it as medium. Lamb Vindaloo was also medium spiced but great flavor. Veggie Samosas were yummy with flavorful dipping sauces.
