One of my family's long time favorite over the years. When I'm in the area I always love to stop by for a meal! Our favorite is their broiled lamb chops with a little lemon, onions and tomatoes ! The best in the Bay Area We paired it up with curry, Gobi, rice, garlic naan and papadums and Mango Lassi

We really enjoy going here. The man at the counter I think is the owner? He is so nice. Very helpful when I asked about certain dishes. Explained to me ingredients with a smile! So far in 2 visits * we just found this place 2 weeks ago* we have had chicken Tina 2 x's- 5/5 I love this dish! Flavors are perfect. Tandoori Chicken 5/5 perfectly seasoned and tender! Falls easily off the bone. My new favorite! Chicken curry 5/5 very yummy and just the right amount of spice. Pieces of thigh- tender and yummy Rice 5/5 so so good. Love the aromatic spices used to cook. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Naan 5/5 fresh- warm- soft with a little chew. Both my husband and I prefer the plain to sop up that delicious amazing Tina sauce!! Inside you feel as if everyone is enjoying their food and conversation. Long tables so both times we sat down with other customers enjoying their meal. Do not hesitate to try Naan n Curry! My bet is you will possibly be like us and you will find you have a new craving that you will just have to satisfy. We drive from Oakley all the way here. It's that good.

I've been here a few times. I imagine navigating the restaurant a few times might feel overwhelming. You have to go to the front and say your order. Then someone delivers it to your table. The restaurant gets busy fast so it can be loud. Except for the overcrowding and having to get your own dishes the food is good most of the time. I will be back.

After getting my taxes done at H&R Block I was starving and discovered Naan n Curry just down the way in the Salvio Town Square. I walked in and told the associate this was my first time here. He gave me a menu and told me to take a seat and come back up to the counter to order my food once I was ready. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, jasmine rice and garlic naan bread. Oh my goodness this was so freaking delicious! The restaurant started getting busy on a Saturday lunch hour so I could tell this was a hopping place to eat. Definitely will be back again to eat here in the future!

Everything goes about average. The most popular dishes, chicken tikka masala, the chicken breast with the wing attached and cooked in Tandoor is good flavor. Best part of this restaurant is that it is not overly spicy. The food lacks flavor, but my keema naan was good. The palak gosht had no flavor. The cashier is a bit rude. The interior is no frills. Many of the tables are set up as communal.

Naan n Curry in Concord is one of those places you keep coming back to when you want comforting, flavorful Indian food that doesn't miss. It's casual and straightforward inside, but the food more than makes up for the simple setting. The naan is a standout--fresh, warm, and soft with just the right chew, perfect for scooping up every bit of curry. The chicken tikka masala is rich and creamy without being overwhelming, and the chicken is consistently tender. Their biryani is fragrant and generously portioned, with well-balanced spices that taste authentic rather than watered down. Vegetarian options like palak paneer are just as satisfying, with bold flavor and a smooth, comforting texture. Portion sizes are generous, prices are reasonable, and the food always feels freshly made. Spice levels can be adjusted, which makes it great whether you like things mild or with a serious kick. Service is friendly and efficient, and takeout orders are usually packed well and still hot when you get home. Overall, Naan n Curry is a reliable neighborhood favorite for anyone craving hearty, flavorful Indian food. It may not be fancy, but it delivers where it matters most--great taste, good value, and consistently satisfying meals. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Concord area.

I'm never disappointed when the weather starts to cool down. We decided to try the hot chai, and it absolutely made my day. The warmth and blend of spices felt comforting and filled my soul with happiness. The service is always wonderful, and I love how the aroma of spices fills the air the moment you walk in. This is my go-to place whenever I'm craving curry or tandoori chicken. And of course, you can't leave without ordering the garlic naan--it's a must. The mango lassi is also incredibly delicious and the perfect complement to the meal.

Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken spinach dish, and our table shared other entrees. The chicken was dry and the portions were small (the serving dishes play a portion eye trick) -- you may have more luck with takeout! The onion/tomato lemon salad was beyond plain and could have been dressed better, despite the simple ingredients. The chicken spinach dish is robust and something I would order again if they didn't overcook the chicken. The tikka masala was standard and didn't have much of a kick. Not pictured: Garlic naan was good texture but lacked flavor. The yogurt we were disappointed by. I tried the lamb, and it wasn't overcooked, but not my jam. This spot has offered better in the past; I would come again if I were invited, but not on my own accord.

Love the food here. Today's order featured, Chicken Tikka Masala,Palak Paneer, Onion Naan & rice Tikka Masala sauce could be a meal on it's own with the crusty naan or over rice. Rich yogurt creamy ness, soo good. Naan is fired per order and must be eaten immediately to preserve the texture. Can be ordered with onions, garlic or plain. Paneer is spinach, creme butter & cheese, mild had a little kick & can be augmented with the available sauces, habanero sauce is deadly. Always a busy place,so go at off time's (like today @ 1:30)

Best lamb shank ever. Nihari was served plain but would have been so much better with cilantro, mint and sliced ginger.

The smashburger had an off-putting sweet element I couldn't put my finger on; could've been the bun, sauce, perhaps oil it was cooked in? Crinkle fries weren't quality, & the mozzarella sticks had next to zero cheese inside. Forget about a cheese pull, I basically bit into an empty tube of fried breading. Instead of marinara (always my preference), we were given ranch, as it seemed they were running on a limited menu that night. My companion was not a fan of his chicken wings with a sweet & spicy "candy" sauce. I hate for this review to be an exercise in whiny complaints but food like this is the reason I'm apprehensive to try new eateries.

I'm not an authority on Afghan food so this is rated as an outsider…read more Overall the food can be summarized as: lightly seasoned, enjoy the simple flavors of each component, and Must use the sauces to complete the dish. I personally think everything needed some salt, but maybe it's meant to be this way. Highlight is most definitely the green sauce (yogurt and chili, not spicy), baklava (sweet sticky on the bottom and flaky crisp on top, not overly sweet), yogurt mint drink (dough). Shami beef and chicken kebab were juicy and not dry. Through a bit of miscommunication.. I was given the yogurt drink instead of the normal side of yogurt cucumber sauce for the meat, and was warned by Ali that some people don't like it since it's a yogurt drink with salt, but honestly it was great and was essentially a yogurt mint sauce I expect from other Mediterranean/Middle Eastern type places but more watery. So admittedly I just took sips of this while taking bites of the kebab and rice and it was pretty much the flavors I was looking for, but an extra step. Beef Mantu was another source of confusion since there are regular and homemade versions (I didn't realize). They made me the homemade version without confirming with me on the phone; no problem. It was filled with lightly seasoned beef and topped with interesting spices. Overall not bad not great, definitely needs sauce / salt. Too light in my opinion. And for $25 I wouldn't get again not worth it. The customer service from Ali was great. Knowing this was my first time he explained everything, offered to charge me less due to the miscommunications (I declined), and gave complimentary side of sauce and baklava as a nice gesture. Good food. I know how to order next time. Extra green sauce or yogurt drink all over.

Turned out to be a little bit pricier than I thought it would be for a lunch, however, it really did worth it.

I will definitely make sure to visit again when I'm in town. -------------- If you want to read my story of how and why I tried this place, read more here: I walked by this place while my car was getting an oil change. They had a sign that said in big letters, "HUNGRY? We can fix that!" Like Winnie the Pooh, I checked in with my stomach and answered yes! I was famished. I had brought my lunch with me but left it in the car while it was getting the oil changed, so I had nothing to nibble on. It was kind of early, maybe 10 AM, and I didn't even think they would be open, but then I realized they did have the sign outside on the sidewalk. I walked by the front door and it opened automatically. My heart started to flutter. So I went to look at their menu online and saw that they had chicken shawarma bowls. I love chicken shawarma. I decided to look them up on Yelp and make sure they had good reviews. I realized that they were a sponsored ad, and that gave me pause. The last time I went to a Middle Eastern restaurant that was sponsored, it was not so great, so I quickly checked the reviews. They have pretty good reviews! One review said that the chicken was dry, but others were more positive. I had a really good feeling, so I ordered it. Another reviewer commented that the rice was so good -- and they're not normally a rice enthusiast -- so when I placed my order, I upgraded my rice from the white rice that comes with the order to the rice infused with turmeric and garbanzo beans. When I opened my order, the bowl was a pretty decent size. If my husband had been with me, we probably would've been able to split it. In my order, I saw: * Seasoned chicken drizzled with shawarma and a delicious white sauce. * Hummus * Tomato cucumber salad * And this yellow turmeric rice I couldn't resist -- the rice was the first thing I tasted, and it was delicious! I can't quite figure out what flavors are in there, but I could taste a hint of cinnamon, and there were definitely other flavors there. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The hummus could very easily be the best hummus I've ever had. I really enjoyed this meal. I really wanted to eat the entire bowl myself but decided to save half of it for my daughter, who I know will also love it. Customer service was excellent. Adam was at the counter and greeted me very warmly. And when I was leaving, they asked me if I wanted hot sauce and then they put that in the bag. Overall, I give this five stars. I love that the food comes in an eco-friendly container. If there's anything that I could change, it's probably that they put it in a plastic bag instead of a paper bag. I try to avoid plastic as much as possible, but the container was quite big and needed to be in a bag while I hiked back to the oil change place. Oh, and before I forget... one of the first things I asked before I ordered is if the shawarma plate was gluten-free, and he assured me that everything in it was unless I was getting pita. And one more fun note -- when I got back to the car place, someone walked in, saw my food, and immediately asked, "Oh, is that from Manakish?" I was pretty impressed they could recognize it just by the look, especially since the restaurant is about half a mile away. Oh...and when i gave it to my daughter...she loved it so it gets two thumbs up!!
