    Buffet was awesome

Don't count this place out. Their outside seems small and sketch but their buffet is pretty decent. We came here on a random weekend because we had a hankering for Indian. The staff was so friendly. Food was tasty and had a good variety of Indian dishes. Would definitely come back.

Saroor Indian Cuisine has been around for a long time. It is located on the east side of North Main St, just north of OfficeMax and away from the busy downtown area. I came here with my buddy George F. to try out their lunch buffet on 06/12/2025. We walked in just a little bit before 11am but was told by the staff that the buffet service would not be ready until 11:30am. We decided to grab some coffee nearby before coming back. We returned at 11:30am and the staff was still putting food out. One of them seated us at the table away from the main dining area, and water was brought to us soon after. The interior was clean, and decors were minimal. There was a large TV in the main dining area showing some news programs. Lunch buffet was $15.95 per person and featured a decent array of meat and vegetarian dishes, fruits and salad, kheer, etc. Overall, the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the goat curry, fish pakora, saag paneer, and naan/fried bread. Service we received was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a Indian buffet without breaking your bank, Saroor is definitely a place to keep in mind. For the price they charge, I'm not sure of you can get a burger or burrito these days, let alone a buffet. Worth visiting if you are in the area. 4 stars. BONUS MATERIAL: - Major credit cards accepted. - Small parking lot on site.

Was taken aback by the abandoned looking outside, and almost left. Decided to take our chances and so happy we did. There was also no one in the restaurant when we arrived. But the Waitress was kind and efficient and the food was really good. We had Aloo Saag, Channa Masala, Aloo Ghobi, and Naan. All were yummy! They were also doing a brisk online and order delivery service the entire time we were there.

Foodie Harvey K. and I are always up to finding good eats thru out the Bay Area so we wanted to try Saroor Indian Cuisine's buffet in Walnut Creek. Located on the West side of the 680 nestled among the car dealerships and repair shops the building and outside is dated. The inside is even more dated and looks like it was left behind from the 80's. We got there right at 11 am when they were supposed to open but were told they would not be ready until 11:30. ***tip the buffet is not ready until 11:45. Food 4 stars the buffet has many choices and the food is good. They brought out naan and specially brought out some additional fried naan which was excellent. Service was good with the server checking in and clearing dirty plates. Plenty of parking. *** note the facilities are old spooky especially the restroom. As you open the door from dining room to the 1 restroom, directly to the left is a pitch black staircase down to a basement. To get to the restroom you need to proceed around a dimly lit corridor with no ingress or egress, eerie to say the least.

Saroor Indian Cuisine on North Main Street in Walnut Creek is truly a gem. For just $15.95, their lunch buffet is one of the best values in town. In a city where prices can climb quickly, this is an incredible deal -- especially for the quality and variety they offer. The food is fresh, hot, and beautifully prepared. The goat curry is rich and flavorful, tender and perfectly spiced. The lamb and spinach is savory and comforting, and the Punjabi vegetarian selections are vibrant, fresh, and clearly made with care. There's also a crisp, fresh salad bar and a delicious assortment of dishes that far exceeds what most lunch buffets provide at this price point. Everything tastes thoughtfully prepared -- not rushed, not generic -- just authentic, satisfying Indian cuisine served with pride. Beyond the food, the people who run Saroor seem kind, gentle, warm, and welcoming. You can feel that they genuinely care about their guests and their craft. If you're in Walnut Creek and looking for an affordable, high-quality healthy lunch with excellent variety, I highly recommend this Indian Cuisine. It's my first time here since I'm on foot for a block -- a wonderful experience all around.

Reasonably priced Indian food in Walnut Creek. I had a craving for my childhood comfort food - dal roti - today, so I stopped by for lunch. Once there, I changed my mind and decided to get the buffet ($15.95) instead. There were just a few patrons when I arrived but the place got busier after noon. Favorites - paneer mutter, goat curry, naan, bhatura. Also tried the kheer, saag lamb and chicken makhani. Disappointments - tandoori chicken and cholle were undercooked, and they didn't have daal on the buffet menu. Will order a la carte next time and get my dal roti!

A welcoming staff. They raised their buffet prices with the new owners, still worth it. The fried nan is awesome. The food is delicious.

The buffet doesn't change much, but I tell you, we were there this afternoon, and I can't imagine a better combination of tastes than what I had: 3 each of the small fish pakoras and the fried chickpea flour ones; a portion of tasty white rice; a delicious cup of yellow dal; and a goodly portion of goat curry. All of this along with the yummy Naan that was brought to out table. Sargam is a tried and true venue for us (We go back a couple of decades and have dined there with so many friends over the years I probably can't even remember them all. If you're anywhere near Walnut Creek, give it a try! (Have a look at the many photos of the food. I only have one to share today of the establishment at night. We also often take home a Mixed Tandoori Grill platter, which combines many tasty kinds of meat, and goes a long way!)

I only wish I was 20 years younger so I could have splurged even more. Everything was so delicious. I especially loved the fresh, hot naan they brought to our table, perfect for dipping in all the dishes. My personal favorites were the chicken tikka masala, the karami paneer, the chicken pasanda, and the chicken tikka. There Walter a lot of vegetarian options as well. I enjoyed the buffet so much that I sent my teenagers to go have lunch right after I got home. We will definitely be back!

We arrived around 8 PM and were welcomed with the same warm, energetic greeting you'd expect at opening time. But the standout was the veg chowmein -- it was bomb. It became everyone's favorite instantly and was the first dish cleared from the table. We even met one of the cooks who was super sweet.
