It is such a cute place with fusion interior. Very creative & modernized interior. The staff was very well spoken and the lady behind the counter was very sweet and nice. The food is really amazing. It's like chipotle for Indian food and that taste great as well. Great flavors, not too spicy, has nice blend of spices though - just appropriate. The quantities are okay. I wouldn't say it's less or a lot. Like the add on choices. I'd recommend the place for flavorful fusion Indian food.

My first stop here and it was delicious. I'm definitely going back. Plenty of parking and options. The garlic naan is delicious and worth paying the extra for. The staff were friendly and patient as I placed my first order.

Delicious! Friendly service as well... A couple of tables to sit outside. I highly recommend. You were able to customize your order to exactly what you would like. The flavors were incredible. The options of things to add in were wonderful. They even serve wine and beer

We stopped by at this place while driving from Niagara to Rainbow Falls and this place was an absolute gem. It's subway style Indian food served either in form of bowl, wrap/burrito, or combo with rice and naan. The prices are quiet economical based on the quantity you get. I got a combo of paneer with rice and garlic naan which was about $18 and this is normally the price of one paneer entree elsewhere. The taste was upto the mark, fresh, and homelike. I throughly enjoyed the fresh paneer, with turmeric basmati rice, and the garlic naan. I also ordered a chai on the side and later learned that the chai is free during the weekend. There's ample space to sit and rest on your long drives. I'd surely recommend it and if I were in this neighborhood again I'd surely try their other options.

I have been to other Naan-tastic locations, and like the others, this one did not disappoint. Food and service were great. While I really enjoyed the Marsala Chai, the Samosas and amazing Chicken Wings, the Fish took the grand prize! The fish are breaded in seasoned chick peas, then fried. Amazing! Would be willing to drive any distance to again have that fish. Also access to a good beer with dinner is always a good thing. Especially lucky to have a Kingfisher beer from India! The only challenge, the place was busy, so the noise level was rather overwhelming. I love the big open space and airy feeling of the space, but, left with my ears ringing. Maybe they need to add some sound absorbing decor on the walls or ceiling.

Naan Tastic was a pleasant surprise. I selected it for a monthly get together with friends... the primary rule being that it has to be a restaurant that I haven't been to before. None of us are particularly fond of Indian food so we were all skeptical but, in the end, we all loved it! The restaurant was clean and decorated with information on the different dishes and ingredients. The food is served like an Indian take a Chipotle or Moe's. Everything was fresh and delicious. The servers were eclectic but fantastically helpful and friendly. There was even some outside seating. I liked it so much that I took my vegetarian fiancee the next week... It was just as good as the first visit and she loved it too. Even if you don't think you like Indian food you should give it a try. I doubt that you will be disappointed.

I've never ordered anything I don't like, and I generally don't order the same thing twice. Easily the best food in walking distance from RIT. Service is always excellent, ambiance is always great. I don't typically go for the buffets but the buffet prices are also fantastic, but dining by regular sit-down or take out isn't terribly expensive. I usually walk out with enough in a take out box to eat the next day. Try the onion pakoras and the kheer if you love yourself!

The buffet has a 'just right' number of items I think. There are about 8 different proteins in sauce type items like Paneer Makhani and chicken Masala plus Tandoori chicken, fried fish, a few different fried vegetable items and several different dals or stews. There are also mini lines with salads and deserts and chutneys which frankly, we just don't pay much attention to. I really appreciate that they bring FRESHLY made piping hot naan to the table. My favorite 2 dishes on the buffet are the Mushroom Masala and a dish whose name I don't recall that is described as having cardamon and black peppercorns. This chicken cardamon pepper dish has an enjoyable but still mild level of spice. And that dish, mild as it is, is about the only thing I've tried on the buffet that is even a little spicy. I imagine they keep the buffet very mild to avoid being too spicy for timid diners but I consistently leave wishing I had a little more zing to my dinner. This last visit we ordered some Chicken Moma off the menu as an appetizer and they were AMAZING. Basically posticker type chinese dumplings but the filling had an Indian spice and they were served with two delicious sauces. All the basics work consistently here. The temperature of the room, cleanliness, service etc are all at least meeting expectation every time but probably not standing out in any way.

This review is for the buffet thus I cannot attest to the a la carte options. Pro: unlimited chai. Con: somewhat small selection of menu for which the food was not particularly memorable, mostly oily. Service was otherwise ok. for those not exposed much to Nepali/Indian food, a good option to pique your tastebuds. For those experienced with Nepali-Indian, quite watered in flavor, too and too much sugar in their savory dishes. Chai: the only good thing amongst their dishes to be honest. Would rather spend my buffet money sitting here drinking this for 2 hours reading a book and just skip the meal. The butter chicken had too much sugar. This seems to be a trend across the US in American-Indian buffets catering to the American taste buds. This was disappointing but at least the sauce was fun to dip for your naan. Chick pea dish- a curry like dish with bell pepper undertows. Fried fish dish- think a fish fry with some veggies. Definitely a heavier dish. Fried rice- an ok dish as well. Would recommend Indian buffets towards Henrietta for better culinary experience

We were on the road between Canandaigua and Seneca Falls, and saw they had largely great reviews online despite recently opening up, so decided to roll the dice, but were sadly disappointed. The interiors (1/5) are very spartan without any sort of ambiance or atmosphere whatsoever. There is no music playing and one side of the seating area in the back left of the place has plain white walls and no decoration, while half of the space is not an eatery, but rather a store selling Indian clothing attire (a very bizarre set up that I've never seen in my travels). There seemed to be one lady running the entire food side of the eatery, but was only there maybe 10-15% of the time while spending the rest of the time in the kitchen. What seemed to be her son was at the front entry area, so the eatery was without any sort of adult supervision presence for 85-90% of the time. Service (1.5/5) was so absent/bad, that several customers just left after being seated and pretty much ignored. Multiple tables had to ask for cups just to have water, and were given flimsy little plastic cups. The water was unfiltered and we felt it had a funky taste to it. In plain sight of the customers, the lady/waitress was cleaning utensils in the middle of the eatery using brown paper towels at an island covered with plastic straws, a bottle of Shout cleaning spray, coffee creamer, and a half empty bottle of water on it. I like to give small businesses the benefit of the doubt, but it was amateur hour and a comedy of errors on how not to run an eatery. I wouldn't refer to it as a restaurant and rather call it an eatery since there was so much left to be desired. We were hoping to have a quick lunch as we had to hit the road, so just ordered a paneer tikka masala and dal makhani with 2 orders of naan for our main course. It took a very long time for food to come out, but was decent when it finally did. The dal makhani (4.5/5) was the star of the show and was tasty. The paneer tikka masala (2.5/5) looked nothing like pictures of an orangish tomato-based gravy I had seen online. Just so there was no miscommunication, I showed her pictures of the gravy I had wanted from prior recent online reviews, but we got a dish with a red colored gravy that was loaded with red dyed food coloring. We noticed it had dyed our fingers a slight reddish color a few hours after the meal (once again, this has never happened before to us after eating Indian food). The dish was otherwise pretty tasty, but like the dal makhani, it was pretty small in portion size compared to other eateries/restaurants. The naan (2.5/5) was similarly small in size and tasted average otherwise. The real kicker was when we had asked for some additional rice, and she failed to inform us there was an additional charge for it. It would have been nice if there was some sort of transparency by letting the customer know rather than just adding a random $5 additional charge to the check after the meal, especially since 95% of the Indian places I go to eat offer additional rice complimentary. You aren't presented with a check, so you have to head up to their main desk area to pay on a tablet. This is when I noticed that they also tack on a 4% "admin fees" listing on checks which isn't disclosed anywhere either. All in all, the additional charges when it came time to pay added insult to an already dull and slow paced meal (took well over an hour, so you can't expect a quick lunch). I really hate to bash a small business and wanted to give them 2 stars, but this is one of the rare times I'm deducting an additional star for tacky undisclosed charges and poor communication with the customer. This was a one and done meal for us at 13 Indian Taste & Salad for us, and I cannot recommend them to others. Hopefully the business finds this review as an opportunity to step up their game to better serve their customers and communicate fees better.
