My experience at Na'ava Skin Care Spa was nothing short of extraordinary!! Vicky and her entire team went above and beyond to make me feel cared for and truly valued as a customer and person. Vicky had an in-depth consultation with me (15+ minutes) and recommended me a customized treatment to help with years of clogged pores and closed comedones. She was both knowledgeable and friendly. I was hesitant to even get a facial anywhere prior given that my skin is extremely sensitive, dry, yet still prone to acne and closed comedones. I've never had an esthetician or dermatologist truly hear me out regarding my complex skin. Vicky did!!! She not only listened, but gave honest advice and multiple options for treatments and prices. She was so kind and was gracious enough to give me a first time client discount. Once Vicky heard I was a student, she ensured the treatment was going to give me the most bang for my buck since I was paying for it with savings. A treatment that would've cost me well over 500+ dollars at any other spa cost me 350 dollars with Vicky. Not only that, but Vicky spent 3.5 hours with me, never rushing, explaining every step, and ensuring I felt comfortable every step of the way. She went above and beyond and even applied a numbing cream prior to extractions since she knew my skin was so sensitive. She has magic hands that truly removed years of closed comedones I could never get to budge (even with Tretinoin and AHA/BHA use). If you have complex skin and want a highly personalized facial not like any other spa giving one-size-fits-all treatments, go to Vicky! Her team also kindly gave me a bundle of samples to experiment with (from her product line) after my facial, which was so wonderful! It's not even been a week after my facial and the pinpoint scabs from the extractions have sloughed off on their own, and the skin underneath is the brightest and smoothest it's been in years. I chose this clinic because of the high ratings, although I did notice some negative reviews beforehand. After my visit, I unfortunately found myself agreeing with many of those concerns. During my consultation, I felt pressured by Vicky to purchase her product package. She emphasized that my skin would not improve unless I followed her regimen and used only her products. However, she didn't even try to explain about the ingredients, safety, or how the products actually work, which made it difficult for me to feel comfortable and trust what I was being asked to buy. N not to mention her products dont look reassuring to me by its packaging n label. I'm the type of person who doesn't get convinced easily, I need to know what substance i put in my body. The facial treatment itself also felt rushed. Some extractions seemed incomplete and still left some gunk. I experienced new breakouts a few days afterward on that area. When I asked about the pace of the treatment, I was told it was because I had asked too many questions during the consultation, which was only about 10-15 minutes. She even said i asked many questions bcs i dont understand. I was VERY USPET and think she was trying to say im stupid only bcs of asking some questions. To me, she just doesnt like her patient being critical and question her. I didnt even challenge her by asking some tricky questions, it was just simple basic questions abt the treatment plan, the timeline n so on as i need to know all the detail. So if you're a critical person and love to discuss, i would not recommend you to consult with her, otherwise she will think that you are stupid :) On top of that, during my acne facial she was complaining n mentioned that she hates doing acne facials to patiens bcs it is annoying and tedious where she needs to pinch one by one, which was very surprising and uncomfortable for me to hear as a patient. I was shocked that she had the audacity to say that right in front of my face. This is such a huge redflag about her credibility. I went to Vicky once when I was living in Irvine. I keep receiving texts from her office and decided to hop on here to read the reviews, and they match my weird experience. I went to her. The second I walked in, the front desk guy pulled me into a crowded small office with boxes everywhere and was bragging about Vicky and how athletes travel to see her and how she was just on some news station about her skincare line. The whole situation was off-putting. I met Vicky, and she was nice; however, the entire facial, she was talking about herself and shoved her Rolex in my face, bragging about how it was 30 thousand dollars and her wedding ring. It was bizarre behavior considering facials are a quiet, relaxing experience. The facial itself was very painful and my skin was red for a week. I saw zero difference and was forced to by her overpriced, bad skincare. She grabbed all these products and made me pay an additional $200. After I left, the same front desk guy called me 10 times, saying that I need to come back and pay for some cream, etc (stuff I did not even want). I had to Zelle them!! And her acne masque gives off a sort of Eastern/Asian medicinal smell/vibe(?) that is so familiar to me and rare to find. I've been scheduling monthly sessions with her for facials and also back facials (Acne & hyperpigmentation) She takes her time when it comes to your facials so make sure you block out enough time during your day so you don't need to rush. She really gets in there and gets all the gunk out and customizes the facial based on your skincare needs. Each time I go I get something different which I think is great because I know it's tailored to my specific needs.
