Fried pork gyoza and Sushi Burrito
    Tiffany T.

My friend and I split a pork gyoza appetizer and sushi burrito. We chose deep fried gyoza and it was crispy! The sushi burrito was great too! We were given 3 protein options, so we chose spicy salmon, tuna, and shrimp tempura. We also added seaweed salad, cucumber, and avocado for the vegetables. For the sauce, we chose spicy mayo. Everything tasted fresh and the shrimp tempura gave each bite a good crunch. It was kind of like a 2 for 1 because we wanted shrimp and tempura flakes! This is a take-out only restaurant right now, but you can order at the front entrance. The staff/manager is nice and the restaurant is clean. I would definitely come back to get the burrito again!

So I have to admit that I had plans for writing some scathing comments after discovering that they're STILL closed to eat in dining. Transported sushi feels inappropriate. I had ordered sushi from Nagoya through Door Dash and I thought it was AMAZING so I wanted to go and try it in person to see what it was like fresh from the chef (hence my disappointment of becoming my own delivery driver). I asked if they were going to open soon for in person dining and they claimed that they were thinking about it for next month (which makes no sense if you have Covid fears (winter being a worse Covid time)). AAAAND, the chef said that they would do Omakase which is my favorite was to eat sushi so I have to wait for that to happen. Anyway...this is supposed to be a review and not a rant session. Sorry. Their sushi is not only massive but easily the most reasonably priced in all of the DMV. While I do love the huge pieces of fish, this last order (and only this last time) had way too much rice on it. My rule of thumb is that if it's two bites, it's too big. With that said, the fish was fresh and well handled/sliced. I had the sushi deluxe and it easily two meals (partially because of the rice issue mentioned above). I am anxious for this place to open for in-person dining but for now I'll have to deal with the remote eating.

Crab cheese puffs. Filling was good, but wonton skin wasn't crispy & no sauce. Almost 4/$7. Would get again if crispier on the outside.

Updated review cause I did go back. Only to get the Crab cheese puffs cause I was getting coffee nearby. When I went to pickup, they were setup for carryout and delivery only. There was a table at the front entrance with plexiglass. Crab cheese puffs were OK. The filling was better than the ones I had at another location. But the wonton skins weren't crispy. Almost $7 for 4 pieces. I might order again if they could make them crispier. Might have been the oil wasn't hot enough.

I used to work down the street from Nagoya, and I would eat there at least 3-4 times a month. This was the place where I was introduced to sweet potato rolls & would order them every time. Check out my pics & you can see how fresh the sushi is. I'm not a huge fan of the décor but it's adequate for a quick out of the office lunch. Not sure I would bring a client there. The parking is tough but there is an open lot right across the street & in the supermarket lot. The service is good, no complaints. Highly recommend Nagoya, you will not be disappointed.

Crunchy Roll. Spicy Rock Shrimp Roll.

The food was just okay. I ordered two rolls from the chef's menu. The spicy rock shrimp was nothing special. The shrimp was a regular cocktail shrimp, the flavor was blah and too much mayo to my liking. The spicy to mayo ratio was off. The crunchy roll with the eel was a tad better than the shrimp. And I only say that because it had the tempura texture and the eel sauce drizzle.... I would not order either rolls next time. The service was good. Our server was pleasant and topped up our tea several times without being asked. We didn't feel rushed to leave when we were just sitting there after we have paid.

I have been ordering delivery sushi from here for years so glad they are fully open again. The restaurant is beautiful and the sushi is too. Quick service and friendly staff. It's a great place to go on a date and with family. I definitely recommend their speciality maki rolls. You get a lot for a reasonable price.

The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! We love the new owners!!! In addition to sushi, the mango salad and fried rice were wonderful.

The sushi is yummy, but they still don't allow indoor seating which I bananas. I'm not a huge fan of sushi' takeaway.

The ABSOLUTE best sushi I've ever had! The rolls are thick, flavorful, and generously stuffed with the juiciest fillings (I'm a sucker for eel avocado, spicy tuna, and california rolls). Highly, highly addictive! I was introduced to Nagoya shortly before the pandemic and now have no desire to order sushi anywhere else. I was ordering every single week during the lockdown of 2020. And now it's my boyfriend's and my go-to meal for special occasions - birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, celebrated milestones, etc. I thoroughly recommend this place and can not sing its praises high enough. I'm just so thankful I've found my perfect sushi spot and that it's so close by!

Don't get the crab fried rice. It's imitation. Wish they would've stated that on GrubHub. Other than that it was good

It was really popular that evening, so the three of got squished at the table meant for two, but we didn't mind. The menu is pretty extensive, offering ramen, udon, tonkatsu, rice bowls, grilled fish sets, and more. We ordered pretty quickly, but with how busy it was, it took a bit for the food to come out CHILEAN SEA BASS - 37 As I scanned through, my eyes immediately fell on the miso sea bass. Despite the price point, I knew I had to go for it because sea bass is hard to find around here. This set came with rice, house salad, miso soup, and cold tofu. The sides were pretty standard -- no compliments, but no complaints either. On the other hand, the sea bass was wonderful. Super creamy and soft, with a strong miso sweetness that packed so much umami upon each bite. I would definitely splurge on this set just for the sea bass. My friend got the ramen and didn't love it, so I'll probably avoid that during future visits. The katsu curry that the table next to us ordered looked and smelled amazing. Overall, food was delicious and homey. I'd definitely recommend!

Absolutely floored by the fatty tuna sushi roll. It is on the pricier side, but honestly, I don't think I even minded. We got the katsu and sashimi combo plus some rolls on the side. The katsu was delicious, and the sashimi was super fresh. The combo also came with the cutest little side dishes, really adorable presentation overall. The staff was also incredibly attentive about my friend's allergies (dairy and nuts). They kept checking in with us and even showed us the sauce ingredients to make sure everything was safe. One of the staff members called my friend "kawaii" after hearing her long list of allergies lol, and honestly, that made my day.

I've been coming to this location since it first opened, and the quality has really gone downhill…read more I've regularly eaten sushi all my life, and this is the only location where I've found fish bones and scales in my food. One time there was nigiri made with stale rice, but at least that only happened once. I've had scales in the sushi a couple of times, and the bones have appeared at least three or four times. As far as the quality of the fish goes, it seems pretty hit or miss. I used to really enjoy the extra fatty tuna before I had a particularly bad order, and then I never bothered getting it again because it's a pricey order. The cuts also do not seem to be as generous as they once were. I've continued to give this place a chance because most of the servers have been very pleasant, and I've had some nice memories here. But last week I was at this location for a celebration, and we had sushi with both fish bones and a scale attached. The sushi with the bones was comped, but the sushi with the scale was not. I think I've hit my limit with this location. I'm also surprised that they don't seem to have taken better precautions against fish bones appearing in their sushi given that this has happened multiple times. As much as I've enjoyed coming here, I'm tired of having to wonder about whether or not I'll find something in my food again. Like I said, this is literally the only sushi restaurant that I've ever been to that I've had these issues with, let alone consistently. There are other places in the area that are worth going to if you're after sushi.

There's a limit on nigiri/sashimi to one piece per order. What that means is that, when you put in your first (and subsequent orders), you can order one tuna, one salmon, etc nigiri/sashimi. That is a lot better than what I originally thought, which was one nigiri/sashimi total for each round. The variety in the AYCE is impressive. Lots of sushi, sashimi, nigiri, salads, soups, variety of appetizers (not all fried stuff!) and hibachi (beef, chicken and shrimp). Tonight, the food arrived pretty quickly after we put in an order. There was an issue toward the end of the evening when the app stopped working at our table and the table next to ours. The Staff did what they could to fix things; it did take about 20 minutes, though. I'm assuming this isn't typical. Staff did say that this does happen from time to time and the customer needs to exit the app and reorder. Except for the 20 minute delay, things worked fine. We placed at least 12 small orders during our meal. The staff was very good about filling water glasses, bringing our food and taking away empty plates. Really - high praise for the staff. The restaurant is very pleasant to sit in. It has Asian motif and nice music playing over the PA. The only issue was with the ordering system, which, as I said, I'm thinking was unusual.
