I'm pretty sure our family has been here more than anyone else and Olney. The food is amazing. Anything you get is amazing. Szechuan Chinese food in a tiny city like Olney is kind of crazy. The owners are really nice. Staff knows us by name now. My favorite dish is the spicy pickled soup with fish. I would've never ordered this, but I took a friend and he did and it now is my favorite. There are so many other good dishes, though as well the Szechuan crispy shrimp is really good. If you're looking for something that's not as hot the crispy beef is really good as well sweet and very mild. Their sushi is pretty good too. Sushi Katana is still my favorite local sushi restaurant. Jiang court sushi is right next to them in quality. If you're not sure about Szechuan Chinese food, ask Miss Lucy for recommendations. She is amazing if she's not around ask for Kevin he'll set you straight to. What I really like about the staff is you can ask them and they'll give you honest answers. They have the obligatory American general tso chicken. However, I would avoid that and get authentic Szechuan food. This is hands-down, the best Chinese food I've ever had. We used to go to New York City and eat Chinese a lot. I would eat this over any restaurant in nyc. read more

My family and I tried this place for the first time last weekend. The place wasn't super busy but people kept coming in for take out and then other families started trickling in. I liked the decor and the place looked clean and bright. Our server (Kevin) was great! He was helpful, gave great suggestions and was nice. I had the flat noodles with chicken; husband had the diced chicken with white rice; our teen daughter had the general tsao chicken (w/white meat). We also had the pan fried pork dumplings, which we all really enjoyed. I really liked my noodles, husband liked his dish; daughter's general tsao could have been crispier. 10.3.25 My friend and I came for dinner around 5 p.m. on a Friday evening. When we arrived, only a few tables were occupied. I ordered the wonton soup and the pork with garlic sauce, while my friend had the egg drop soup and the two-faced pan-fried noodles with shrimp. The wonton soup was flavorful, though I found the garlic sauce a bit mild for my taste. My friend did not enjoy her noodles -- they were too crispy and not what she expected. When she asked for a knife, she was given a butter knife, which made it difficult to cut through the noodles. She mentioned that her entrée was challenging to eat and said she wouldn't have ordered it had she known. Fantastic food. Fresh, each dish came out piping hot as it was ready. We had the crispy cumin beef sichuan style, fish with spicy bean sauce, mapo tofu, and popcorn chicken with basil as an app. It was all incredible. Very authentic, very delicious. The mapo tofu in particular was amazing with great sichuan flavor -- the best we've had in ages (especially since Joe's noodle house closed). I would come back - nice pleasant ambience, very clean and inviting. Chinese food tasted authentic and delicious - we got kung pao chicken, mongolian beef, and a steamed fish diet. My parents felt it was a bit salty but overrall authentic. Chinese dishes were a bit pricey for a relatively small portion just compared to the average Chinese restaurant. Finally, their sushi pleased! I didn't love the California roll (was expecting kani salad), but the other sushi was delicious and fresh. Great tasting rice and fish. We finally got a chance to try out this place & here's my take: Decor: Modern & hip, very pleasant to look at. Service: The server was very friendly and chilled. We came 45 minutes before closing time but he kept telling us no need to rush which was amazing. Food: Sushi was delicious & fresh. We also had Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, String Beans & Fish with vegetables. All dishes were tasty but a bit on the salty side, probably not the go to place for the health conscientious. Prices: Almost all dishes are higher than most average Chinese restaurants and portions are relatively much smaller. As of Dec 16, it's still a sushi only menu. Nonetheless, my family and I still enjoyed ourselves because we love sushi. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. I recently had a couple tooth extractions and can't eat larger sushi rolls, so upon request they were able to cut a few of the rolls a bit smaller for me. We ordered several rolls, some of which were on the boat and a few were on a separate platter. As usual, the rolls were well made and delicious. The hurricane roll and dancing eel may be my favorite, but the dragon and volcano rolls are certainly close contenders. The seaweed salad and avocado salad are always great starters here. Salads are a hit or miss for me, but I enjoy them here because they taste freshly prepared. We also had the spring rolls, though we were looking for potstickers that evening. Hopefully when they have their full menu available, it will be an option. I'm so looking forward to it! read more

We just left this restaurant after our third visit. The first two went fine; the food was pretty good and the service was not bad. This visit was a disaster. The restaurant was not busy when we entered, yet it took several minutes for someone to seat us. Once we were seated, it was a good 10 minutes before anybody came to our table to take our orders. When we had told the server what we wanted to eat, the man started to say he would like to order a drink. Unbelievably, the server was already turning around and walking away. He had not asked if we wanted anything to drink and had either not heard or ignored this request to order a drink. When the food arrived, my dish was so salty it was almost inedible. The dish, salt and pepper tofu (yes, I do realize that the word salt is prominently featured in the name of the dish, but this level of salt was ridiculous), strangely had no sauce, so I asked the server to bring me a sauce, mostly to cut the overwhelming saltiness. I was brought a boiling hot small bowl of a brown sauce. Both the sauce and the little bowl were both so hot that it was clearly a result of having been microwaved. My man said his kung pao chicken tasted like it was a couple of days old, and the spring rolls he ordered were very obviously of the frozen variety. The server did not come back to check on us or ask if we needed anything. When we had finally abandoned trying to eat the terrible food, we had to work to get his attention to ask for a check. I honestly felt cheated by this meal for which we had been charged $20 per plate. Despite the fact that our first two experiences were positive, this one was so overwhelmingly negative that we don't plan to give it another try. read more

We ordered from their sushi menu last week and while it's decent for the area, I'm not locked in on it being my forever sushi place. I ordered the spicy tuna, shrimp tempura and Philadelphia roll. The spicy roll had good flavor but was almost over pureed. Usually I like it mixed up like that but the texture seemed off for me. The Philadelphia roll was delicious but as you can see by the photos, there was a lot of in inconsistency in the amount of salmon in each roll. The shrimp tempura roll was delicious. No notes. Our first time here and we thought food was good. We came close to closing but staff was very nice and accommodating. We ordered spicy cucumbers, Salt and pepper fish, cumin lamb, crispy duck and pan fried noodles. The noodles were more like chow mein, not like cantonese pan fried noodles, but still good. Taste wise, dishes were all good, but portions smaller than most Chinese restaurants in area. But I would definitely recommend for the variety of Szechuan offerings here. read more

I think our family was the only one there, we didn't mind though thinking food would come out faster but it didn't :) maybe because they wanted to spend extra time making sure our sushi looks presentable. They told us to scan the QR code to order which we did but they didn't tell us half the menu (that are not sushi) are not available yet. I ordered the egg drop soup. It had eggshells in it and I sent it back. They brought out a new bowl of soup. This time it had pink paper scraps in it. Looked like they were from an artificial sweetener packet. Sent that back too. When I left, they handed me a small envelope with a gift card in it. For $5. No discount on the meal. Their sushi quality has been consistently excellent, close to the top of anything I've had on the East Coast. The Chinese dishes so far are very good, especially the spicy wontons, which are on par with the ones I get in NYC. And everyone I've interacted with has been terrific there. read more

THE BEST!!! I'm vegan and have been to many sushi restaurants. Sushi, I always thought tastes the same in every restaurant but JIANG COURT STANDS OUT ALONE ! I've been there 4 or 5 times and love every vegan dish I try. Even the miso soup which is typically quite bland is wonderful! I even ordered one to go. The restaurant is lovely and the chairs ... We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, combination Fried Rice, and Crispy Beef Sichuan Style. It was just okay for me, as a comparison I really like Lee's Kitchen off of Layhill Road but it's only carryout now. We got Shrimp Tempura roll and a California roll. I did like the sushi and would definitely go back for sushi and try some other rolls. The service was very good and the food came out very quickly. Sushi menu is decent. Was excited to see some sichuan food on the menu like mapo tofu and sichuan green beans but it wasn't good at all. Nothing was even remotely spicy and the mapo tofu wasn't mapo tofu, more like tofu with sweet and sour sauce dumped on it. Didn't have that sichuan peppercorn that gives it that spicy/tingly taste. Ok, I found out about 5 days ago this place recently had a soft opening. AND have eaten here three times already! The sushi is really good and incredibly affordable.
