We were driving back through the Road to Hana and my girlfriend pointed out this smoothie spot so we found the last available spot nearby and stopped. It's a small spot so the lines can get pretty long and the parking can get packed since there are three places next to each other. I forgot the flavors we got of each smoothie but they were really good, really fruity, not too sweet. We also picked up some banana bread from this stand that was also really good. Might be worth a stop if you want a snack. read more

There aren't many options for food and drink on the road to Hana, but Nahiku Cafe at Nahiku Marketplace is absolutely worth the stop. I imagine parking may be difficult when it's normal tourist levels, but it's worth waiting for. My husband got a coffee which he said was some of the best coffee he's ever tasted. I got a fruit smoothie and some banana bread. The smoothies are pricey but it's easy to see why when they cut up fresh mango, pineapple, and other fruits in front of you and then pop them in the blender. The smoothie was so good my husband said he wished he had gotten his own, and the banana bread was amazingly moist and flavorful I wish it was bigger! Nahiku Cafe also has some cute items in their shop for purchase if you're looking for a memento, but the gallery located in the same complex has many more items to choose from. Definitely a stop to make for a pick me up on your drive! read more

Was unable to actually visit the store because it was closed when we visited on a Saturday around 3 PM, but a peek inside revealed cute gifts and coffee/snacks. There is a porta-a-potty on-site behind all of the stores. Good pit stop on the road to Hana, but unfortunately a lot of the places in this shopping center area are closed permanently. read more

I stopped by here this past Saturday with my wife for afternoon coffee. We were on our way back to Kahului after traveling the road to Hana and I wanted an afternoon pick me up. Thankfully the Nihiku Marketplace is in a location that's perfect to get one and so we stopped. The cafe itself is in the stall on the far left whenever you are facing it. Due to Covid, they only allowed a single group in at a time and asked that you sanitized before you came in. After perusing the menu for a bit I ultimately decided on having a 20 oz macadamia nut latte as my coffee. While I was there I also noticed some lilikoi bars (think lemon bars only with lilikoi) and added those to my purchase. The coffee ended up costing 8.20 and the lilikoi bars another $4 or so. It was ready within a few minutes and we were soon on our way. I first tried the lilikoi bars and loved them. They had a nice subtle sharpness to them without being overly sour and the bar itself had a great texture to it. After that I tried the coffee and just thought it was ok. The coffee itself had a decent flavor and although it was promoted as Maui coffee, I couldn't tell the difference. It was really the macadamia nut milk which just made it ok as it had a fake tasting sweetness to it which I wasn't a huge fan of. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. The Nihiku Marketplace is a great place to stop and I would recommend that you stop there, but I probably wouldn't order the macadamia nut latte again. read more

A full barista menu in the jungle with 4 milk alternatives. I tried the Coconut Latte and it was really good. My kids got smoothies and those were the best we got on Maui. Fast service and super cute too. A real treat. This place is a must stop on your road to Hana trip. read more

WOW!!! Truly INCREDIBLE owners of the Nahiku Cafe! I cannot speak to the quality of their food, but if it is anything like their heart, I would rate it a 10 out of 10!. If any of you reading this has children, you will appreciate this recommendation. As Covid has completely uprooted our High school seniors final year, my husband and I sent our daughter with her 3 bestie to Maui for a celebratory trip. We have great kids and trusted them to make good decisions on their first solo trip to Hawaii without parents or supervision. Our 4 recent High school graduated seniors drove the road to Hana alone. As unfortunate luck would have it, they were forced off the road to Hana by a large Suburban hogging the road and their rented car got stuck near the Nahiku cafe on their late afternoon drive back. They were without WiFi, or cell coverage. As the late afternoon quickly progressed to darkness, the girls were alone and scared. Lana, owner of the Nahiku cafe appeared like and angel from above to rescue our 4 girls. Because of the dangerous night road conditions, they were unable to summons a tow truck and were left without a place to stay for the night. Lana the Nahiku owner took our girls in as family and gave them a safe place to rest their heads. She continued to watch over them through the long night and gave them breakfast in the morning to set them up for a successful day of traveling back the long road home. Nahiku Cafe in my opinion deserves the highest rating possible. In our daughters honor, please help support this wonder family owned and operated small business. Please stop in and buy a coffee and tell them the story you read on YELP. The amount of gratitude we have for the woman is immeasurable. read more

The lattes tasted a bit watered down, and we were blown away that two coffees cost us almost $30. It's a nice spot to get out and stretch your legs after a bit of driving, but I'd recommend bringing a cooler full of your own drinks and skip this cafe. read more
