Who knew a boba bar would have coffee? This one in Paia certainly does, and more! After finishing up a run in the Paia area on a Saturday morning, I saw this establishment that was one of the few open bright and early at 7am. The interior had a lot of cute decorations, as well as cute desserts. I opted for their "Valentine's Day Special" rose latte and a fruity pebbles pop tart for dessert. I was able to take both and consume them on the way back to my Airbnb. The latte was essentially warm milk sweetened with rose-flavored syrup, but it was still delicious! The fruity pebbles pop tart was a supreme favorite of mine----the crust was light, crisp, and flaky while still having a substantial amount of fruity filling. The young lady at the counter was very helpful and motivated, especially on a Saturday morning! read more

The customer service at The Boba Bar is top-notch. Delicious tea and coffee options with customization possible! In the duration of our stay, we visited this little shop a handful of times because of the accommodating staff and the respectable portions. I recommend the Brown Sugar Iced Latte + boba / (my go-to) an Iced Carmel Latte + boba. Perfect place to grab a drink to-go while you walk around Paia (although cute, no indoor seating). read more

Who doesn't love boba??!?!?! My son is a total boba lover so you know we love this place. Maui is definitely lacking in the boba department and the only complaint I have about this place is that it's TOO FAR! Well, not really, but I would really rather they be in my neck of the woods! Not only do they have the yummiest drinks, but they have food items and little local kine gifts! So when you're buying a delicious drink (matcha anything is my fave), you can also get a cute sugar cookie or banana bread or whatever else they have available that day! AND you can get someone a gift too! Perfect place to get a gift card and some other local goodies. Service is great here, Malia is my favorite boba barista and also makes some delicious whip cream!!! Quality/Quantity - This is a milk tea boba bar, so if you like milk tea, this is a place for you. The Popping boba was a hit for my daughter, but not my preference. They had lilikoi and lychee flavors. Also got some fancy expensive boba cookies, see picture. The cookies taste like normal sugar cookies, very sweet. While the design is very beautiful, I personally do not think it is worth $6. My daughter did not know the price since they did not have a sign and was shocked. Atmosphere - Small new local boba bar, the newest talk of Paia. Service - Good, was nice and threw in a regular boba or two into her drink at no extra charge, thank you. See picture. Boba, Espresso, Lavender Milk Tea, and hold up... homemade pop tarts!? We caught this spot on the road to Hana and luckily didn't have any wait. Chill atmosphere and great eats and coffee. And you get boba tea here too! My kids loved it and while you wait you can appreciate the music and get to know this spot. Anthony's coffee used to be located around the corner and now is on Baldwin. I was so excited when I randomly stumbled across their Instagram page one day. They had been open for just a few weeks, so their hours were changing almost daily as they were testing the waters of when to open & close. I love boba & with Maui's lack of, I made the trip from Kihei just to try it. I'm not sure if there's a sign now, but at the time there wasn't so you could easily miss it if you aren't looking. A cute shop to which they also sell little snacks & treats. I went with the brown sugar milk tea with boba as that's one of my favorites. It was ready pretty quickly. I believe everything comes iced, so if blended is your thing, you won't find that here. The sides were lined with syrup, which I thought was neat & the sweetness level was just right. Boba also had the right amount chew. Overall, I thought it was good. Wasn't anything too special. Definitely need to come back & try some of the treats & other drinks. I'm visiting and found this place while walking back to the parking lot. I saw the reviews and was hesitant to come in. The weather is unbelievably hot and anything to cool me down would be great. I got the butterfly pea flower with lychee tea. Now if you have boba/tea often, this drink seems like there is no tea in it at all. But I still enjoyed it! It's light, not too sweet, pretty color and definitely a help in this heat. I haven't tried their milk tea so I can't comment on it. There's street parking and parking lot nearby. The Boba Bar just opened up in Paia right next door to Paia Fish Market. The building has been freshly renovated and painted a nice dark blue. Inside is a small space with no indoor seating and best fit for a quick grab and go type of thing. You'll find some random snacks, candy, drinks, and a freezer of ice cream. On the menu they have coffees which can be made hot or iced and of course there's milk tea with the option to add boba and other toppings. There's a good amount of flavors to choose from and toppings are an extra charge. There's also a "build your own menu" but I don't usually like to go that route on first visits. We got the brown sugar milk tea with boba, honey milk tea with boba, and the strawberry milk tea with lilikoi popping for our son. Our drinks came up pretty quickly. I did not see many photos of their boba or drinks prior to this visit, so wasn't quite sure what to expect. Their milk tea/boba all turned out to be iced. I prefer my boba to be blended. Out of all the drinks, I liked mine (the brown sugar) the best. They lined the sides with syrup and the boba had a nice chew to them and was not overly sweet. My husband's tasted like straight honey water and kind of fell flat. Our son enjoyed his drink and loved the popping balls which are always fun for the little ones. Overall, I was expecting to be a bit more wowed. I understand they've just opened, so I think it'll take a few more tries until I find 'my drink.' Perhaps coffee on my next visit? Until then, I'd still say check them out and support a new local business in the community! read more

I try to come here at least once a day for an iced latte! I JUST tried their blueberry oat milk latte instead of my regular brown sugar latte and it's my new favorite!! Honestly, it was just OK. I got the brown sugar milk tea with boba. A lot of the boba was clumped up together. The taste was fine, nothing amazing. Tasted like the boba ice cream bars but melted. I went here with others and they also weren't blown away. Aesthetically, they make some nice drinks, but nobody in our group was impressed. Add on top of that, that only 1 of the 3 workers were wearing a mask. I know things are getting looser but the mask mandate state wide is still in place until the 25th I believe. It was nice to try once but I wouldn't try it again. I'm glad I was in the area instead of going out of my way just to try this. read more

So glad The Boba Bar opened in Paia! My family loves the variety of tea and boba offerings. Definitely recommend getting the reusable cup if you live or work near the bar as you get a discount when you order and of course it cuts down on the waste. Haven't decided on a favorite yet as it recently opened but we definitely visit a couple times a week at least and look forward to new flavor creations and new things to come. We ordered a matcha Latte here...was pretty meh. It's quite possible it was good for what you can get in Maui, but I wouldn't come back.

Went in and ordered the chai anthuccino and immediately the girl rudely said "we don't have that right now" and stared at me like I was bothering her. Didn't say they were out of ingredients or any information about anthuccino being served only at a certain time. Can I read your mind? There were no signs of it, if so. Not to mention I had to wait for her to be done texting for her to finally look up and wait for me to speak. No "Hi what can I get for you today" or simply "Hello". She was the only one in the store and no other customer inside but maybe she was too lazy to make it. I just left. People really need to learn customer service these days because it impacts businesses, especially when trying to support local. read more

Drove from Kihei 3 times to get the matcha lavender drink here, so delicious. Now for the actual boba I am biased because I am from California and we have some of the best. The boba was not Terrible but it was clumpy and hard to drink. Think it needed an extra rinse after cooking. Customer service was nice and friendly each time we went. This place sucks ass. On top of the three racist white girls behind the counter the day of our visit, their boba was stale as hell, teas were watered down, and wtf is up with their matcha? 3 drinks for $17 and some change? Never again. Ended up throwing our drinks away. Head over to choice health bar across the way. Better quality drinks and service is a tad better. Back to my comment on the three girls.. I don't throw the R word around lightly but when my group walked in, their demeanors changed from serving white families before and after us. Didn't receive the same cordial greeting. Even my nieces noticed it. We approached the register, not a single hello from any one of them. I actually caught one of the girls staring down my daughter as she placed her order. I wish I had a taken a picture or video of her disgusting face. I would've posted it on here!! I do plan on visiting again, but only to see if I encounter the same treatment. If so, I will call that nonsense out right then and there, no matter who is around. Customers who are supporting local businesses should never feel the way we did that day. One last note, please learn how to make drinks and use better ingredients. Don't offer boba if you don't know how to prepare it correctly. If you don't lose customers due to rude employee behavior, you'll definitely lose them to subpar drinks. read more

This is a cute little store. They sell boba and snacks. Their banana bread is good. Their drinks that I got unfortunately lacks. Their honeydew milk tea was neon green - which screams artificial. Their mango milk tea was like mango flavored water. Their jasmine milk tea was watered down. Their boba was okay - I've had worse. It could be cooked more and soaked in brown sugar water so maintain its sweetness and softness. read more

Boba addict here so this review might seem harsh. Service was slow, the cashier was too busy/distracted talking to her friends the whole time she took my order, I have to repeat myself several times. She stop taking my order so she can continue talking to her coworkers/friends (nothing work related). The drinks were really water down. No tea flavor.
