Chocolate Chunk and Original Coconut Ice Cream
    Brooke A.

This may be the best ice cream I have ever had. I got the chocolate chunk and original coconut. Wow. So good and so refreshing. I definitely want to try more flavors. The owner was so kind and literally started chopping up a full on coconut for us. The area is super cute with colorful benches and animal friends!

What an absolute treat! We stopped here after our drive on the Road to Hana and I'm SO GLAD that we did. They serve vegan coconut ice cream that is so dang good I could barely believe it. They also have a variety of coffee drinks and small snacks/sodas for purchase. There was only one gal working (who was amazing!), so be patient and show your aloha. I promise this ice cream is well worth the wait! They have plenty of seating outside for you to eat as well, but do keep in mind there are no public restrooms here!

We stopped here to try some ice cream made from coconuts. We tried the chocolate, coconut and lilikoi ice cream. It is truly farm to table. He grows fresh fruits and uses them to make the ice cream. My favorite was the coconut and chocolate.

Great stop at the road to Hana! They have coconut water and can split the coconut once you drink the water so you can eat some too. I got the coconut ice cream which was refreshing and my friend got the mystery ice cream which was had a lovely Hawaiian tropical taste! No samples but it's good on a hot day!

This was our last stop on the way back from the Road to Hana. It's open later than a lot of spots along the way, so we appreciated that we were able to make it. It wasn't too busy then either. It was a really refreshing treat for the end of a warm day. Being that it's made with coconut milk, it didn't feel as heavy as regular ice cream. I had the mango and the original coconut. The mango was good, but the coconut was amazing! I wish Coconut Glen's had a truck in San Diego! Cute little area. Make sure to stop by on your trip through!

Coconut Glen's in Maui is one of those hidden gems that you're so glad you stopped for. Tucked along the Road to Hana, it has such a cool, laid-back jungle vibe that instantly makes you feel like you've found something special. The coconut ice cream is incredible--rich, creamy, and made from fresh coconuts right there. You can really taste the difference, and it's easily one of the most unique and refreshing treats on the island. The toasted coconut on top just takes it to another level. What makes the experience even better is the setting and the people. It feels local, authentic, and unpretentious--just good vibes all around. It's the perfect place to take a break, cool off, and enjoy something you won't find anywhere else. If you're doing the Road to Hana, this stop is 100% worth it.

Cutest little ice cream truck along the Road to Hāna. Even if it seems like a touristy place, the flavor & portion size make it totally worth the hype. I got the coconut ice cream & let me tell you.. it's non-dairy, but still super creamy! What made it even better were the chewy toasted coconut flakes mixed in, giving it the perfect texture. I paired it with mango, which was refreshing, fruity, & had no artificial taste. So light, yet so satisfying! The person working the truck was super friendly & gave us the scoop on their popular flavors. Everyone in our group was happy with their choices! They have a cute seating area & photo op setup, so it's the perfect break from driving. If you're doing the Road to Hāna, this is a must-stop. Don't skip it!

Very large and colorful stop. Heard lots of positives about this place, but stopped at another ice cream place shortly before ( mistakenly) and theirs was one of the best I've ever had... That said, we made it a point to stop on our return and it was late and they were closing but still let us buy ube and coconut ice cream. It was good; never had vegan ice cream before, but appreciate that they sell it. Two cute chihuahuas too: Ginger and Lily.

Who knew vegan ice cream could taste THIS good? We stopped at Coconut Glen's on the Road to Hana and tried the coconut, passion fruit, mystery (ube), and pineapple banana flavors. My fav flavor was passion fruit! The ice creams were all creamy and refreshing. The vibe here is super chill, with cats lounging around the tables! A small note: there's no restroom on site.

One of the best ice creams I've had! If they shipped I would definitely order some. Flavor was so rich and creamy. The lilikoi flavor was beyond amazing. You can taste the real fruit flavor. Did not taste artificial at all. Staff was kind and quick. They had a little line but they worked quickly. Some seating available outside. Location can quickly be missed if you're not paying attention on your drive. I would highly recommend making the stop for this cute little ice cream shop.

This is one of those recommended stops when going on the road to Hāna. Please stop here! They have an amazing passion fruit ice cream that I would travel back just for that.

    Ice cream!

It lives up to the hype! Well worth a stop. We got pistachio and chocolate chunk, both amazing flavors!

Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Such a neat stop on the road to Hana! We didn't get ice cream but we did get the chocolate macadamia nut bread and it was YUMMY. The best we had on the island actually!!! Don't sleep on the banana bread! Service was friendly and quick! Ambiance was neat and chill with cats roaming around and just enjoying the Hawaiian life.

Sometimes, when I stay on west Maui, I think about their treats, so close yet so far. But no longer! 13 days ago, they opened up a truck location, overseen by Matthew himself! There is a coconut glen's now right there by Honoapiilani hwy and Napilihau street! We got the classic coconut and mint chip, which was refreshing. There are tables there under the shade of some Norfolk pines to enjoy a snack. Matthew was super nice and friendly, and sounded excited to get things started at the new location. Now I can have coconut glens whether I'm west in Napili or east towards Hana! Mahalo!

I love Dole Whip, but this place serves their own version called Pineapple Cream, and in my opinion, it's a million times better. They even have a poster in the shop comparing the ingredients, and let's just say they're not shy about pointing out what's in Dole Whip versus their own product. Their Pineapple Cream is made with simple ingredients, and you can absolutely taste the difference. They offer a variety of island inspired flavors, which made it tough to choose because everything sounded delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't discover this place until our last night in Maui. Otherwise, I have no doubt we would have come back multiple times during our trip. If you're a fan of pineapple ice cream, this is a must-visit. Seating was limited outdoors and inside was full. Wish they'd have more outdoor seating.

Hubby had the key lime pie a la mode, and it was the perfect balance of creamy sweetness and tart, but not too tart. Both slices came with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is the only way to do it. The service was friendly, too. The indoor seating was full, so we sat outside, which turned out to be lovely for people watching and enjoying the fresh air. My mom politely asked if they had any sugar-free pies available. The girl at the register stated " you need to ask for those a day in advance". So my mom asked if she could place an order now to pick up one tomorrow. The girl then looked up from the register with an annoyed look on her face and said, verbatim, " does it look like I'm the head baker? I only work the register. You need to leave the store and call us to order". We all looked at each other shocked. That was the most rude response I've heard in a while... like we are supposed to know who specifically ask to order a sugar free pie ... ... just a wild situation for such a fun place with great tasting pies. The good: - blackberry mango was probably my favorite pie - peach cobbler a close second place - loved the mountain berry as well The bad: - the girl working the register - you want a sugar free pie? Make sure to NEVER ask in person. You have to call in. - And they only offer whole pies and not slices for sugar free pies The verdict: - minus 2 stars for the rude girl who yelled at my mom - minus 1 star for only having whole pies and not slices for sugar free pies, even though they only have 3 flavors to choose from... Such a shame to have people like that working at a place that serves such a good product.
