What an absolute treat! We stopped here after our drive on the Road to Hana and I'm SO GLAD that we did. They serve vegan coconut ice cream that is so dang good I could barely believe it. They also have a variety of coffee drinks and small snacks/sodas for purchase. There was only one gal working (who was amazing!), so be patient and show your aloha. I promise this ice cream is well worth the wait! They have plenty of seating outside for you to eat as well, but do keep in mind there are no public restrooms here!
Great stop at the road to Hana! They have coconut water and can split the coconut once you drink the water so you can eat some too. I got the coconut ice cream which was refreshing and my friend got the mystery ice cream which was had a lovely Hawaiian tropical taste! No samples but it's good on a hot day!
This was our last stop on the way back from the Road to Hana. It's open later than a lot of spots along the way, so we appreciated that we were able to make it. It wasn't too busy then either. It was a really refreshing treat for the end of a warm day. Being that it's made with coconut milk, it didn't feel as heavy as regular ice cream. I had the mango and the original coconut. The mango was good, but the coconut was amazing! I wish Coconut Glen's had a truck in San Diego! Cute little area. Make sure to stop by on your trip through!
Cutest little ice cream truck along the Road to Hāna. Even if it seems like a touristy place, the flavor & portion size make it totally worth the hype. I got the coconut ice cream & let me tell you.. it's non-dairy, but still super creamy! What made it even better were the chewy toasted coconut flakes mixed in, giving it the perfect texture. I paired it with mango, which was refreshing, fruity, & had no artificial taste. So light, yet so satisfying! The person working the truck was super friendly & gave us the scoop on their popular flavors. Everyone in our group was happy with their choices! They have a cute seating area & photo op setup, so it's the perfect break from driving. If you're doing the Road to Hāna, this is a must-stop. Don't skip it!
Very large and colorful stop. Heard lots of positives about this place, but stopped at another ice cream place shortly before ( mistakenly) and theirs was one of the best I've ever had... That said, we made it a point to stop on our return and it was late and they were closing but still let us buy ube and coconut ice cream. It was good; never had vegan ice cream before, but appreciate that they sell it. Two cute chihuahuas too: Ginger and Lily.

One of the best ice creams I've had! If they shipped I would definitely order some. Flavor was so rich and creamy. The lilikoi flavor was beyond amazing. You can taste the real fruit flavor. Did not taste artificial at all. Staff was kind and quick. They had a little line but they worked quickly. Some seating available outside. Location can quickly be missed if you're not paying attention on your drive. I would highly recommend making the stop for this cute little ice cream shop.

We felt a little bad coming in so close to closing time and asked if it was okay to place an order, and they were very accommodating. We ordered the coconut, cookies and cream, ube, lilikoi, and banana cream pie flavors. Considering the ice cream is dairy free, it was surprisingly creamy. It melted right in your mouth, and the coconut flavor in particular was delicious. The ice cream was very refreshing as it was light, not overly heavy, and didn't leave us feeling bloated like traditional ice cream does. You don't find ice cream like this anywhere else. It's a must stop when you're on the Road to Hana.

We were impressed by how creamy the ice cream was even though it doesn't have dairy. The ice cream was a definitive do-over and the banana rum raisin was a particular standout. P.S. Make sure to bring your bug spray unless you want to be bitten by some skeeters!
Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Such a neat stop on the road to Hana! We didn't get ice cream but we did get the chocolate macadamia nut bread and it was YUMMY. The best we had on the island actually!!! Don't sleep on the banana bread! Service was friendly and quick! Ambiance was neat and chill with cats roaming around and just enjoying the Hawaiian life.

Coconut Glen's in Maui is one of those hidden gems that you're so glad you stopped for. Tucked along the Road to Hana, it has such a cool, laid-back jungle vibe that instantly makes you feel like you've found something special. The coconut ice cream is incredible--rich, creamy, and made from fresh coconuts right there. You can really taste the difference, and it's easily one of the most unique and refreshing treats on the island. The toasted coconut on top just takes it to another level. What makes the experience even better is the setting and the people. It feels local, authentic, and unpretentious--just good vibes all around. It's the perfect place to take a break, cool off, and enjoy something you won't find anywhere else. If you're doing the Road to Hana, this stop is 100% worth it. read more

We stopped here to try some ice cream made from coconuts. We tried the chocolate, coconut and lilikoi ice cream. It is truly farm to table. He grows fresh fruits and uses them to make the ice cream. My favorite was the coconut and chocolate. read more

Our Hana adventure just got sweeter! We stumbled upon Coconut Glen's and their incredible coconut milk ice cream. Creamy, dreamy, and totally dairy-free! We had to ask the staff what's the best flavour. She recommended three original coconut. We went for the original coconut (hello, toasted coconut bits!) and the lilikoi flavour - a tangy-sweet explosion of refreshing flavour. There are some tables and seats. There were so many coconuts in area. You can also buy a coconut and the staff will open it for you. If you're ever on the Road to Hana, this is a must-stop! read more

The ice cream was really good and lots of good places to sit with a good view. We tried the macadamia nut, original coconut, and lilikoi. All were very good. I did feel like they didn't put enough ice cream in the cup, it definitely wasn't filled up. The worker was very nice and helpful when people bought coconuts. You get to pick your coconut, drink it and when you finish he will cut it open so you can eat the meet. Fun pit stop on the road to hana read more

Tiktok hyped up this place for me and it's safe to say that the hype is valid! My husband and I went after lunch, around 12:30pm, and there was a short line (no more than 10 people in front of us). The ice cream bus is super vibrant and cool, and as far as I know, there is one lady that runs the whole thing. Vibes are great: there's a good amount of outdoor seating, beautiful trees, and cat friends :) I got a split scoop of coconut and honey macadamia nut, and my husband got a split scoop of coconut and mango. Everyone raves about the coconut ice cream (and rightly so -- it's delicious!!) but I thought the honey mac nut was EVEN BETTER. For vegan ice cream, it was extremely creamy which complemented the authentic sweetness from the honey. The mac nut chunks added a great texture too! Unfortunately the mango ice cream did not meet expectations; the texture was great, but there was barely any mango flavor. This is definitely a required stop on the Road to Hana, and I would recommend the honey macadamia nut ice cream if you see it on the rotation! read more
A small roadside stand on the Road to Hana, it's so worth the stop. The ice cream is vegan but you'd never guess. I got the pineapple banana which was very good and the coconut which was INSANELY good. There's no reason to assume the other flavors wouldn't be just as delicious. Tourist oriented places are rarely worth mentioning. In fact, they typically represent a segment of dining plagued by mediocrity, exhausted waiters and inflated prices. Yes, of course I am referring to that restaurant by the Eiffel Tower. And certainly calling out that place at the zoo that slaps together an attempt at a hot dog. And without doubt, the Senior Frog's next to the cruise port in a Caribbean Island where dreams get drowned with cheap tequila. But, all rules have exceptions and the pleasure of being proven wrong is difficult to put into words. On Road to Hana, Maui's main tourist attraction, there is this little gem that serves what can be labeled, without much hesitation, as one of the best ice creams ever made. Both the Ube and the Coconut flavors are truly remarkable. There is a complexity and length to both of them, where every tiny spoon lasts as long as a sip of a top notch Pomerol. In other words, phenomenal. It's served from a hippie truck, colorful yet sadly no longer running. There is plentiful space to enjoy the ice cream if there is a consideration of preventing the rental car from becoming a moving ice cream bowl. Glen Bruce Simkins, a former executive chef who left Boston for a more relaxed life in Maui started Coconut Glen's and the passion poured into this project is clear in every bite. He incorporated medicinal local plants into the ice cream, perhaps partially explaining its incredibly complex flavor. This is a wonderful small business with a treat that will get embedded into the memory of every passer by. It bluntly breaks all preconceptions of enjoying a meal next to tourist attractions, crafting pure joy for the visitors to Maui. read more

I am still dreaming about their coconut ice cream! Honestly it truly is the best ice cream. All ice cream is vegan and absolutely delicious. I personally am not vegan but after this ice cream I may end up being one! The ice cream was creamy with chucks of coconut inside. It was pure heaven. Make the stop on your road to Hana!! read more

Aloha! First time in Hawaii, first time on Maui, first time on the Road to Hana! We got the Shaka app and paid for the tour guide (highly recommend) and Coconut Glen's Ice Cream was mentioned on the tour! Being Vegan myself I was over the moon and had to try this place out. The Vegan Ice Cream was AMAZING, especially the Matcha Mint, Coconut and Ube. There are places to sit but no public restroom. I was informed that they typically have Vegan Banana Bread too but not on Mondays. This is a must stop on your road to Hana! Mahalo Nui Loa for having vegan options and being so welcoming! read more

We were on a "Road to Hana" tour and our guide stopped by as one of our last stops. I am so glad he did! I had the original coconut and the ube ice cream. The coconut was amazing! It had all the coconut flavor I wanted and it even had small pieces of coconut in it. It was so rich and creamy. I couldn't believe it was vegan. The ube was good, but not as good as the coconut. If I ever get the chance to go back again, I would try all the other flavors. Highly recommend! read more
This was a solid place to stop for some coffee. They only have non dairy creamer, so I had to try the coconut milk creamer. It was a nice brew with a unique finish. Decided to stop by when we saw a sign for organic vegan ice cream!! And WOW this ice cream was perfection! 2 scoops for 8 dollars. We shared it while on the drive and enjoyed every bite. You can tell it's made with love. The employee was very kind and full of aloha. We stopped by the next day for a fresh coconut and they chopped it up right in front of us! read more
For those who are lactose intolerance, you would love this. This one is on the way to road to Hana. Small little food truck kinda. Their base is coconut It comes w 2 scoop and you can choose 2 flavour. Wf choose the original and their mystery one which was soursop. It's $8 Friendly ppl. We like it, you can still taste the coconut pieces and the soursop is refreshing flavour. Yum!! read more
