I have been going to Lisa at Nail 2000 since we retired to North Myrtle Beach 3 years ago. Lisa has always done a good job and I have been pleased with the salon in general. I have always made my appointments with Lisa and given her a 20% tip. However, this past Saturday, July 3, I had a 2:00 appt for a Gel French manicure and a pedicure and I noticed yesterday that my nails were chipped and the tips were starting to come off. The tips were uneven on some of the nails. I went to the shop today, "3 days later" and spoke to Cindy , the owner, about it. I told her I was disappointed and would like to have them redone. She said they looked good to her and refused to do anything about it. I told her I would not be back. She said okay. I'm not sure what happened to customer satisfaction but that isn't the case here. Nails 2000 is where I ended up after not being able to find the more highly rated Happy Nails. Oh how I wish I had found Happy Nails. The people at Nails 2000 were nice enough but attention to detail is sorely lacking in this place. My nail tech was rough with my hands. I had two cracked nails which we discussed and he repaired them with glue. The repair didn't hold up through one hand washing. And the folks who work in Nails 2000 spent more than a little time talking and giggling and laughing amongst themselves instead of engaging customers. After finishing my nails, the technician got comfy in one of the chairs and dozed off. Yes. Really. The prices were the same as what I pay at home, but I don't think I got the same level of service. This was my very first and last visit to this place I only came here bc it was close by my job and my nail guy was gone on vacation, the guy name Kelvin did my nails and he did pretty good but my feet were a different story it literally looked like a first grader had polished them, at first i wasn't going to complain but my husband wasn't having that because he paid an additional $25 for gel polish so i went back in for them to fix them they were very rude about fixing them then told me i had to pay them an additional $7 to the $65 i had already paid and my feet still looked like shit read more

Brought my two daughters here for acrylic nails and a manicure. Worst manicure I ever had. Did not even clean under my nails, gel had bumps in it, and nails were way too short. The tech was rude and kept checking her phone. My daughter's tech cut her finger twice and she was bleeding. My other daughter had a crooked nail. Will not return for a second chance. read more

Went last weekend with my girls, spent $115, n I'm sooo not happy. I've been going there for 6 years and the quality has gone severely downhill. It's all about them going as fast as they can for quick turnovers! I had gotten a full set n wanted them long n the guy couldn't even cut them straight, didnt fill to cuticle, there's lumps in the acrylic, a ton of globs of acrylic under the nails, cut my skin, n they aren't even the same shape! A few of the nail tips arent even the correct size. They are great at pedis still but i will not be going back. Not to mention all they do is laugh n joke amongst themselves n one tech next to where i was at took her lunch break at the work station eating this rancid smelling seaweed wrapped food that looked like it came out of a babies diaper. I came to get my toes touched up and my feet scrubbed and massaged. We had made appointments and still had to wait. Then once we finally got put in a chair we waited 25+ minutes. The girl doing my toes looked like she did not want to be there. I had a fill-in, pedicure and entire face wax. Every female should do this and Lisa is outstanding! I don't typically ask for anyone special with the fill-in or pedicure. For the pedicure, there was no extra at all. By extra, I mean it was a super quick pedi and no lotion on the legs, no hot towel on the legs; the legs weren't even touched. As to the fill-in, I had someone new, and quite honestly, I won't let her touch my nails again. They look like I did them, with no knowledge or training. I have been a customer for close to 4 years and just yesterday spent a grand total of $220, including tips and a gift card. That, my friends, is a lot of hard earned money. They don't like tips on a credit card and I have even had two people to hound me about not having cash. When the day comes that I have to have cash in order to go there, I will go elsewhere. This reminds me of the way Great Clips operates. In and out as quickly as possible with very little regard as to the end result. You have a very big business here; but growth will slow down and dedicated customers will go elsewhere if you can't spend the time with your paying customers. The tech was good and finally found someone that can actually design how I want. My only complaint is I lost pic on my phone that I wanted to show her what I wanted so in process of trying to pull it back up and she told me I needed to hurry because she had a 4 o'clock appointment . I understand that they are busy but I had appt also and I am a paying customer, not good service in that area. Went for a pedicure and had an appointment and still with an appointment waited 45 min to start my pedicure. I went on July 12th and by July 30th the polish peeled on my one toe so I found out I was able to peel all of them off without a problem. It seemed to me that they get a lot of vacationers so maybe they don't care about quality or their customers but I would of been a repeater but now the only repeating I will do is how bad my pedicure was!!! read more

My normal nail salon was to busy so I came here instead. They were crowded too but made room for me right away. The girl turned on my water and forgot about it so I had to turn it off. I got my nails done and over all looks good. Although the guy I went to was extremely rough to the point where the little electric tool that they use to file ripping the skin off from around both of my ring finger nails to the point where one was bleeding. Extremely Sore afterwards. Not to mention the guy made me take my own nail polish off of my set I was getting filled and re done because it was "one less thing he had to do". Staff is horrible. I went here a few weeks ago and am so sorry that I did. The girl that did my nails was not the least bit friendly. I get a pedi about every weeks so my nails were in very good condition and had no problems. She proceeded to cut my big toe nail way down on the side saying it was ingrown. I thought well, maybe something had happened.... then she proceeded to do the other big toe the same way. It was very painful and I had to tell her three times to stop - she kept giving me excuses why it had to be done - I finally pulled my foot away from her. I then saw she had also cut the top of my nail to the "quick" and it also had a big chunk taken out of the side. She started to put lotion on my leg but I was in tears and decided I was leaving. She was not nice about it at all. Another lady who I assume was the manager/owner came over and looked at it but didn't say much. At when I said I was leaving but would pay - they didn't take my money. I then went to Happy Nails and the extremely nice ladies there fixed the nail as best they could and polished them. They asked where I had been and when told - they were not surprised that I had had such a painful experience. Stay away from Nails 2000 in NMB! read more

I scheduled an appointment on 4/5/14 at 4:15 pm after work Vs. going to my normal nail salon due to convenience of location. Needless to say, I arrived at 4:15- was seen by 4:25 for a fill-in and a change of toe color. I was out of there within 20 mins with the work complete in there eyes. Needless to say, there are bubbles all in the paint, the nails are not even compared to how they came in - which were better off! They were straight, no ridges, and now I have ridges like someone can ride a wave on them and you cut very uneven. VERY DISAPPOINTED! This was by far the worst pedicure I ever received. My friend and I went and we were both incredibly unhappy. The man doing mine must have stood up to answer the phone and help everyone else 10 times. My nails look like I painted them myself (which isn't good). Also, DIRTY. They use the same dull and dirty nail files for everyone and the sponge to scrub the dead skin off, forget about the cuticle clippers and the normal additional stuff, you won't get that sort of luxury here. Place was very busy and staff was disorganized and the service was rushed (They didn't even scrape my heals and were very rough cutting and cleaning the nails. Great place to get a pedicure even if on vacation in November! Call ahead because they are usually busy!

I was on vacation when I went to Nail 2000. I was not satisfied with this salon. I initially notice other customers seated at manicure tables waiting to be serviced while their nail technicians continued to talk on their cell phones. In addition, there was a lot of joking and laughing among the staff and very little attention to the customer. Customer engagement is definitely not a strength for this salon. One of the services that I received was a pedicure. The overall service seemed to be okay. As my toe nails were drying, I notice that the technician who serviced me did not completely polish my nail on one of my big toes. She left the salon immediately after finishing with me. So I had to asked another technician to properly polish this toe. After I left the salon, I did notice a slight annoyance on the bottom of my feet under my big toes. I initially did not think much of it. So, I continued to go to other places before returning to my room. I realize the pain was not going away. When I returned to the room, I had someone look at the bottom of my feet. The nail technician had clipped off part of the outer layer of my skin right at the crease of my big toes. I arrived at the room late and was not able to return to the salon. I was leaving out early the next day. Therefore, I was not able to address the salon directly. My only comfort is writing this review in hopes that those who read it will chose another salon with better service. read more
