I have been getting my nails done for well over 10 years! This by far was the worse experience I've ever had..i wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE!!! I came here to get SNS on my nails..which i've been getting for a year now. i should have prob stopped her when I had to point out to the tech she was using step 4 as step 1...she laughed and switched to step 1 bottle. I was here for 2HOURS!!!! For SNS!! ..smh she never filed my nails..i asked her if she was going to file my nails..because the powder was overlapping on my skin..you can tell she wasn't comfortable with filing..she immediately nicked my pinky..(as you can see in the pic) so i stopped her and told her nvm.. Since my usual nail tech was out of the country for a month, I decided to try a new place. After researching on Yelp, I found Top Nails, which is only a short drive away from my house. I arrived around 12pm and was greeted right away. There was only one other customer there and two nail techs. Chloe took care of my pedicure. There were some mishaps on the color application but after I told her, it was corrected. She took her time on my feet and gave me a great foot massage. Then, I went to Kevin for my full set ( gel nails). He rushed through my nails because several people came in after me, one of which had an appointment at 12:30. Kevin cut my fingers a few times while using the mechanical filer. When a finger started to bleed, he apologized but did not put the antiseptic on it like most places do. The color application was poorly done as you can see polish around my fingers. Also, upon inspection in the light, I noticed that the color was not put on evenly. There are also bubbles on a few nails. I paid $65 for the full set and pedicure. I gave the place an extra star because they were nice and they offered me a beverage, which I didn't accept. It seems that many people come here for Mia, who arrived about 1:00. She was very nice and apologized to those who were waiting. There was a sign posted for her that stated that she would be out July 10-24 so if you want to get her, you will have to wait. I'm a little disappointed in the workmanship so I don't think I will be returning. read more

Just had my nails done there. They look beautiful! I had Ombre and Lilly took her time to make them perfect. I also received a pedicure and got the works. They did my feet and lower legs with a special scrub and cream. Definitely recommend this place. read more

While the service here was very nice, my nails have never been so lumpy and my cuticles were burning for days. I recommend visiting another establishment if you can. Great designs and selections of colors. Wantes to get a pedi and poss gel mani. I am really big into nail designs so this spot popped up. Walked in and it was empty with 3 ladies just hanging out. Was greeted with a welcome and a bottle of water. Typical massage chair as you get your pedi. A little rough on the scrubbing but doable. Requested a design, hoping it's not the standard swirly lines you get across the board all nail salons. My lady did a fantastic job with a very original design! Looked like an abstract painting on my toes. Gel mani same treatment, awesome design incorporation. She even uses real paint, not nail polish, for the designs which is something unique. Not clean lines with the nail polish and some residue on my fingers but I don't mind it. This is the spot to go for nail designs. My tech was Diana. read more

Well... sans liquor (but what drinks they do offer are free) and sans beer nuts (but the clientele can be nuts) and, well, no Norm (but there is a little girl for entertainment) So....Bring a snack, take part in the complimentary beverages, grab a massage chair and get your summer pedicure (they have 4 to choose from) routine started. I come here because Mia And her dad (he's cute as a button) really want their clients to feel comfortable and Kevin (nail tech) is at pedicures and acrylics. They also have threading services. Ya heard? GETCHO FACE SNATCHED! Well...at least, your facial hair (if'n that's more than just eyebrows...run...don't walk). Only criticism...they need more color acrylic powder (no neutral options) choices and a dark pink for the pink and white nails (my usual). On Saturday you may need to bring earphones...as there is an adorably communicative little girl in the shop. Stopped by to get a gel mani. Nobody was available at noon, all 4 techs were busy, understandable on a Friday. They asked me to have a seat so they can soak off my nails but I didn't want to get stuck with nails peeling off and focused to wait until whenever. I asked and they said 5 mins, I said are you sure because I have to be out of here by 1.. It's 12:15 and she said ok we'll start you around 12:30.. I've lived in the Bowie/Crofton area for over 10 years and this was my very first time trying out this place. I've been to most of the nail salons in the area and must say that I did enjoy this visit. I arrived around 9:30am on a Saturday and was the second client on site. I was warmly greeted and serviced by Diane who also offered me a bottled water (I declined however as I was still sipping on my homemade coffee to go). Anyhow once I selected my colors and designs I was treated to one of the BEST pedicures ever. Once my polish was applied she paid very careful attention to ensure that the finished result was neat and clean. Moving to my gel fill in she informed me that she did have a 10am client but not to worry as she would have her brother Kevin to complete my fill and she would finish off the design. He commenced to doing the very best sport length stiletto nails on earth and set the base color for the design. Diane as promised returned to finish off the design beautifully. Now, I am writing this review 4 days later and while my nails look salon fresh my toes unfortunately have chipped horrendously on at least 5 or more toes. Factoring in that I did go swimming later that Saturday and had some pretty intense workout sessions I still expected my pedicure to last more than 3 days. I plan to give the salon a call to see if they will fix the chipping at a discounted rate or even for free. This place is far from a relaxing oasis. The place is very dingy, dark and dirty. The staff was unwelcoming. We arrived an hour and 15 minutes before closing and were basically told to leave because the wait time was 40 minutes and it would be too close to closing time. It would have been better if they allowed us to make that decision to wait or not. Prior to being informed this the greeter spoke to her co-workers for 5 minutes about us before providing this response. I was not pleased with this experience and will never return. She was patient and wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the length and shape of my nails and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. Everyone here was very welcoming and they make the atmosphere fun. They do take walk ins but if you want Mia to do your nails, it would be best to make an appointment. Love this place! Came in because of a tropical design I saw on yelp. I had a tropical theme baby shower and had to have that design. I went with no expectations other than getting the cute design. What I got was great and attentive service. Greeted and offered a beverage. The really wanted to know what I was looking for, not just what nail color. My friend met me there to pick something up and decided to stay for the price and the service. I felt like the only person there (I wasn't). Me and my sister arrived as walk ins, and we were serviced quickly! I got just a simple polish change (I don't get my nails done much). Even still, my nails were shaped beautifully and handled with great precision and care. My sister got acrylics with gel polish. They look amazing and she is very happy. Mia was very friendly, but what impressed me the most was that she took her time (I didn't feel rushed) and she gave me advice on my nail health. Was in the area and wanted to treat myself and my 6 yr old kid to a pedicure. Walked in and was immediately greeted by staff. The lady working on my kid was warm and nice and engaged her the entire time. She even threw in a free scrub treatment. I was PLEASANTLY surprised to see that they use prepackaged sterilized tools. My tech was Ah.Ma.Zing. If you ever come here, ask for Chloe. She spent so much time on my feet, I really felt like something was wrong and had to ask myself if my feet were really this jacked up...She is so thorough and attentive. She massaged my legs and feet for a good 5 mins each, which is unheard of during a regular, schmegular pedicure. Polish on point, service on point, and the price point was not bad. Very clean, very professional, and super friendly! I have gone in twice now, and recieved a deluxe pedicure, and gel manicure. Both times, each looked fantastic. The gel mani lasted 2 weeks; probably could've lasted longer if my nails didn't grow so fast (not that I'm complaining about that!). However, although pretty, my pedicures haven't lasted more than 2-3 days w/out chipping all over. Normally a pedi lasts 2-3 weeks for me, but these just don't cut it. I'll continue to come here for terrific gel manis (a good mani is hard to find!), but get my tootsies beautified elsewhere. TIP: They only accept tips in cash!! read more

The struggle to find a good nail technician in the DMV is real! I have tried places in D.C., that are close to my job, I have tried places in Laurel, that were close to where I live and nothing has been what I was used to in Florida. I recently traveled over to Crofton for my puppy to go to a doggy day care and I noticed the area was pretty nice. I decided to go on yelp and see what the nail salon reviews were like in this area. I was very surprised to come across one that had so many GOOD reviews. I took the time to read through the reviews to see which nail techs to go to and I decided to make an appointment with Mia. I went this past Saturday to get a gel fill and pedicure. First, for the gel fill - clearly my nails were a hot mess - because Mia put in work for my nails. Finally, she said she will be giving me a brand new set. After the all the hard labor, my new gel nails look amazing and are actually coffin shaped the correct way. For my pedicure I got the deluxe one I believe and my feet felt brand new. Overall, my experience was fairly positive here. Only thing I would recommend, was with my pedicure, I didn't get much of a massage on my legs or feet, and that is one of the main reasons I get a pedicure because I am on my feet all the time. Also, my total was $92.00 for a full set gel and the deluxe pedicure with gel. Looking at the prices, a gel acrylic full set is $40 or more. My nails are short so I don't get acrylic very long and they said they don't charge extra for shaping and I just got a plain color with no design, so my nails should have been $40.00 and the deluxe pedicure is $32 adding $15 for the gel on my toes, making the total of my pedicure $47. So, my total should have been $87, not $92. I am not sure where the extra money came in. Other than that, I would recommend this location. I will be back to see Mia and she will be my new nail tech :) read more

Kind of disappointed. This salon had great reviews, so I decided to go. I almost never treat myself, and hadn't had a pedicure in MONTHS, so I was looking forward to it. I had been putting off wearing open toed shoes until I got a proper pedicure, lol. They did not have a good selection of color to start off with. Or maybe it's just not the selection I'm used to compared to where I had been going. Reasonable price for a basic pedicure, $25. However, it seemed kind of rushed, and they were not busy at all. Pedicure was ok, good massage but when I got home I realized my toe polish was very smudged, one almost completely off my toe. Which was weird because I sat for a long while under the drying fan. Come to find out, the polish dried soft. Here it is EIGHT HOURS LATER, and polish is still soft. Its almost like clay. I can easily make indents in it with my nail. I don't know if it was old polish, she applied too many coats at once, or what the deal is, but this is unacceptable from a salon. I've had this happen before when I painted my nails my self with 99 cent beauty store polish. A salon should have better products and application skills. I will have to remove it and paint my toes again tonight, and I literally just left the nail shop this afternoon. Waste of my time and money. I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

My first time here and definitely not the last! Brought mom here for a pedicure based on reviews and I'm so happy I did! Working on my feet all day leaves my feet in serious need of tlc. I'd say my feet were ICU bad...I got lazy sorry! Mia, Chloe and Kevin hooked us up! They even gave us bottled water. Much needed on a hot day! I got the OPI exclusive pedicure with Chloe and it was divine! No rushed massage here! She took her time and made sure I enjoyed my experience. Kevin did mom's pedicure and freehanded a gorgeous design for her! She was delighted when he added a tough of glitter :) originally we were just getting pedicures. Mom eas so impressed with the services she added on a gel manicure. Mia is working on her nails now. She's so cute. Very personable and hilarious! Love this place! I live 30 min away and come here because they specialize in healthy nails. They won't do anything to your nails that they won't do to their own. I've gone to many nail salons in DC, and MD and this is the only one where I left and my nails were healthy after removing my gel polish. Typically I would have breaking for at least 2 months sometimes really low into my nail bed..but not here! Mia, her sister and mom are equally talented..i don't have to worry about who is available when I walk in because they all do a stand up job! read more
