My mother, aunt and I had a morning appointments for manicures and pedicures. We arrived on time and the place was empty. We only saw one technician working and they were unable to accommodate us. What is frustrating is that the appointments were made a week in advance. We were left waiting at the front and when we inquired, we were told that she had technican problems. She had also accepted a walk in who arrived just minutes before our appointment. We will not be returning to this location. read more

I have been coming to this place for awhile now. I've had more good experiences than bad. Last Saturday, I got my pedicures Done and no chip manicure done. It was fine until she nicked my right thumb and it started bleeding. She immediately tried to stop the bleeding using some kind of liquid I can only imagine is some antibacterial, she apologized the entire time. I am writing the next day, because my fingers started to feel sore, and looking at them more closely, there's more areas that started scabbing I didn't realize probably bled through also during the time of manicure. To the management: pls educate your manicurist to be gentle when clipping cuticles. She seemed like In such hurry doing both services. I hope my cuts don't get infected! I literally have tingling feeling and any pressure while typing hurts, my line of work requires me to type all day. read more

Just came back from there and already we are planning a girls day there again! The pedicures are heavenly and priced right. For $25, you get a spa pedicure. The massage chairs are comfy and relaxing. Then they not only paint your toes, but exfoliate and massage your legs, put a hot towel on your legs and scrub your feet well. The place is clean and they accept credit cards. I plan on coming back here on a regular basis. It is so hard to find a nail place I like since I like to get a good foot scrub. I was impressed with all the great reviews on here--so I made an appointment for my friend and I to get no chip manicures and pedicures. I like lists... Pros: -Super Clean -Friendly people -Didn't feel rushed -Even though it was busy, they tried to keep my friend and I together -not much quiet/whisper talking in their language -Use of timers? I thought this wasn't necessary, but a woman next to me said she felt better that she wasn't getting jipped for her massage. -Ivan gave the most AMAZING forearm massage. -not too expensive Cons: While waiting for my friend to finish drying her toes (there were no other dryers) I was sitting on the bench and a worker who was sweeping came over and started sweeping near my freshly manicured toes. She then actually told me to move down on the bench so she could sweep under my seat. Really?? I don't think that was a proper way of handling the situation. -Pedicure massage was not impressive. -I go because I want to relax--the music was not tasteful. Who wants to listen to rap/R&B while they are on one of those comfy massage chairs? All I kept hearing was n****r this and that. This place is amazing! I use to go to a place down the street for 7 years and came here with a friend and haven't looked back. I'm very anal about my nails and have never been disappointed. The owner (sue) is so nice and caring and runs a tight ship. They're always busy but I rarely wait More than 10 minutes when I just walk in. I used to get my pedicures and manicures here, but haven't been back in some time. The management has changed and it truly reflects in their service. This particular day it looked that they were understaffed so the receptionist/greeter was also doing an my aunt's pedicure. So in between the services, this receptionist decides to get up in middle of the service to answer to calls and customers. The 30 minute pedicure lasted about two hours because they were understaffed and overbooked. At this rate, they will continue to lose customers. I showed Ben a picture of what I had initially asked for, and he was very honest about what it would take for him to give me the look I wanted. I don't get my nails done often but whenever I do, i go here since its close to home. This is the second time that the no chip i paid for started peeling within a few days. Its supposed to last for 2 weeks. I got a french tip no chip on Saturday and it already started peeling on 4 nails by Wednesday. And then when i came in to get it fixed, (with an appointment) i kept getting passed on from one lady to the next and I had to wait until the 3rd lady was done with her client have her start my nails. I was enthralled when I walked into this nail salon on Monday morning and saw the lovely decor. So clean and tidy too! Every employee who assisted me was so very nice! I was really surprised. I'd been looking for the best nail place in this area for several years now and I don't know how I missed this establishment! Horrible job! i really want my money back, not worth a single buck. My flight got delayed and I decided to get a manicure. I searched for places close to the O'hare airport. This was the only salon open till 8pm and pretty close to the airport. I had called them and made my way over there by 7:10pm. I decided to get the "NO CHIP MANICURE"(manicure with gel nail polish). The place is neat but the service sucks! The guy that did my nails, Victor, was in such a hurry to get this over with. With this attitude they are better off closing the place early. He spent exactly 12 mins or less on my manicure. I could've just bought a nail kit from Walmart and did my own nails. When people get their nails done professionally, you are paying someone to take that extra time and help you unwind. I was looking forward to the massage, it literally lasted less than 20 secs. He quickly rubbed a lotion on both my hands and asked me to go wash it off at the sink. The washing part took longer than his massage. He did not even cut my nails evenly, filed them cross, failed to cut the extra skin around the cuticle. I felt bad asking him again and again "could you file this nail straighter please" i gave up after a bit. While painting my nail, He left so much space from my cuticle. It looks like i got my nails done a few weeks ago, like when your nail is growing and you can see the white part of your cuticle. I kept telling him "you are leaving a lot of space huh from the cuticle" he just kept on going like he didn't even hear me. I didn't even wanna leave a tip. But, they have this way of pressurizing you by standing next to you when you get the check and watch the receipt while you are signing it. I ended up leaving 15% tip(which he did not deserve). And, I am reading reviews about their "no chip" mani/pedi. Heck, I got my nails done Thursday night, Saturday morning the paint is peeling off all by itself!! Not good. If anything sub par. Got the no chip manicure and the lady didn't file my nails so I have sharp undersides. And she didn't do the cuticles at all. Also I have little hairs baked into the color. So yah not worth the time or money. The sparkles in the polish continue to fall off and get everywhere. read more

What a shame because this place is so inconsistent. They have 70 percent great staff and the other 30 percent are lazy. They work quickly and you have to ask them to actually do their job. The reception is always Excellent. As a secret shopper and a Behavior analyst, I am Not the person to work with 50 percent effort and treat with disrespect. I am analyzing Everything when I have services done. Customers pay money they deserve the best- that goes for everyone who writes these reviews. While I usually use a couple girls- of course one of them left. She probably went to a salon that has works great ALL the time- not on days they feel like working. I came in with hesitation because my girl was not there. I was waiting for the sweet, friendly girl, but I didn't have time. Up comes NIKKI with a nasty look on her face. She was finished first. I have no idea why I continued to proceed with my manicure-mistake on my part for sure because clearly I knew what I would get-a lazy, quick manicure. We started and I was being nice asking her about work and making conversation-attitude. Sorry but you missed that- attitude. Could you clean under my nails? Did it abruptly with attitude. She is taking the nail tool to my hand aggressively like a woodpecker. I think something is still in that nail. "No you don't- we're finished."In the meantime, I am sitting and watching the girl next to me taking her time and smiling- should have waited clearly ! After she told me, "Your usual girl is not here on Mondays, so don't come here anymore." What??? I have no idea who this girl thinks she is- she looks like a rat. I've been to 80 percent of Asia and people don't act like that. She is complete trash and she has a big RASH on her arm and guess what ? Now my hands are burning. An exposed rash is a violation of the health department. If the owner reads this I highly suggest firing her or I will take this matter of unclean environment and verbal abuse further. This place can be very highly recommended. But I highly recommend nobody comes here! Asking for hot water for my pedicure seem to be more trouble as they kept getting the cold water. After eight request I was finally able to get lukewarm. The original girl that was assigned to my chair didn't understand warm and cold so she was replaced with another one who also didn't really understand. When talking to the manager named Sue, she just told me its hard to find people that speak English to do a good job. They gave me a circular instead of square nails, again because they didn't understand what I was asking for. This place is just awful. I would have given them one star but the staff is extremely friendly and the place is very clean. HOWEVER, they have no idea what they are doing. I got the dip powder nails done with tips and it was very clearly they had no proper training, if any at all. The technician put the tips (like when you get acrylics) half way on my nails. I wanted to speak up about it but I felt bad. Big mistake..two days later one nail completely popped off out of nowhere. I didn't chip it or bang it nothing, I was just driving. Less than a week later one nail cracked while I was sitting in class and then several hours later while I was driving again, another nail popped off..Save your money and take your business elsewhere if you are getting anything done besides a simple manicure or pedicure. read more

I was going to give this place 5 star, but now I know the truth about the people working here. They seem to be very friendly. They make you laugh and feel comfortable. But they talk with one another alot while working on their customer. I dont understand their language and I dont know what they usually talk about.One day when I bring one of my friends with me to the salon. She is Asian and she tells me she understands what the people are talking about us. She says they are making fun of the customer nails. One of them says her client has ugly toes nails and stinky feet and they all laugh while the customers are confused. They also comment on the clothes that you wear and how you look in their language. Their website needs to be updated I went in planning to get a pedicure with a pink gel full set for the listing price of $48 on their website. I was asked to pay $65 when I showed them their websites price they tried telling me it was wrong and that wasn't their website even though I called them with the number provided on the website. They were very rude and acted like it was my fault their website was not updated. I was looking for a good salon closer to home (my usual nail salon was closer to a former job) and the rave reviews for Bliss brought me in. Yes, the place is clean and $25 for a pedicure is average. I had an appointment and was seated promptly, being my 1st visit I had no one in particular to ask for and was assigned to a young man (Igor, Ivan?? he never introduced himself but I think that was what they yelled when I was looking to tip him at the end). My overall experience was rough, rushed & mechanical. Other than a brief communication that the water was too hot at the beginning there was virtually no interaction with the tech. I'm not looking for a new friend but a little acknowledgement that I was a person would have been nice. He walked away and visited with another tech while I soaked, again while the hot towels did the job and at the end parked me in front of the fans at the ice cold drying station all with out a word, but the worst was the rough handling of my feet. I take care of them, no callus build up, never walk around without shoes or slippers and moisturize regularly. Between the overly vigorous scraping of the pumice stone that had me rising out of the chair and excessive clipping with the nippers I'm surprised I had any skin left. I suppose if I had cried out he might have given me some eye contact ... maybe. He had a job to do & did it - period. The pedicure has lasted almost 3 weeks so far, so if that's what you're looking for check out Bliss - apparently you need to ask for Ada, I wish I had :-( read more

This was probably the worst nail experience I've ever had. Went in with my mom to try and get a relaxing pedi and mani. Only went in to get two new people who we don't think were licensed , so we are reporting them on that as well. They had ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what they were doing. To make matters worse when it escalated and we had to speak to managers they were SO RUDE. The male manager had the nerve to start raising his voice and was not helpful at all. It was at a point where we had to take the equipment from the workers hands to show them how to do nails and toes! Like what!?!?! So ridiculous. Then the woman owner/manager decided to be an extra rude person, and yelled at us and basically said to get out that they aren't going to do our nails but we have to pay them for the pedicures to which they did sooooo horribly wrong not only cutting us but everything was uneven and horrible looking. Ugh worst experience of my life !!!!! Had to drive to another salon for them to fix the mess these people caused. So much for relaxing Oh and by the way the techs have a little sand glass to measure how long they can work on your "massage" and literally I wish I recorded the woman she had my hand in hers and was just staring at the hour glass for the time to be up so she could get up and walk away! This used to be my go to nail spot! I have been going here for years. Since it first opened. When it first opened it was so nice and new and quick and efficient and the prices were right. Since then it had become very run down. It needs updating. Not just painting the walls. Everything looks dirty. The remotes for massage chairs are missing all the buttons. The stands the technicians use are very old and dirty. Just makes me wonder how clean the tools are. I saw a male employee who was wearing baggy sweats scratch his balls in front of everyone and just continue to do nails without washing his hands. The whole place used to be so put together! Also, last time I got a no chip done the polish just fell off my nails 5 days later! Such a hassle. And I was on vacation so it's not like I could go in there to get it fixed. Really disappointed. Made an appointment for 5 on Tuesday August 6th for Saturday August 17th at 10:00 am for my girls and a friends daughter and of course the 2 adults. 3 children's Express Mani Pedis and 2 adult Express Pedi. This was for our annual back to school treat for our girls. We were really looking forward to it. When we got to the salon this morning our appointments was not there. Luckily the lady who took the reservation was at the desk and showed the receptionist that she had noted our appointment on the back of the schedule (not in the schedule as it should had been noted)..From what I understood perhaps she wasn't the receptionist but took the phone call but didn't follow through to make sure someone on staff put us in the schedule correctly. They were able to accommodate us slowly instead of our girls being together as we had requested they were taken one at a time and in different areas of the salon. My girlfriend and I were finally brought back for our pedicures at 11:00 one hour past our appointment. Since the girls were not done yet we were able to get our pedicures without keeping them waiting which we were afraid of. The interesting thing was as additional customers came into the shop they were brought back right away and not all were manicures. To make matters worse when the appointment was booked we specified the express service which was the more affordable of options. We were charged for the more expensive and when I questioned it the receptionist (strawberry/blonde hair) pushed back very put off by my questioning and said what did you tell your manicurist you wanted?? I indicated I told her nothing as it was never asked. I ASSUMED since the appointment was made for express that was the service we would receive I am not familiar with what is done for the different price points so never thought to question it. I believe I worked my price out on my bill but I THINK they over charged for my girls and I didn't catch it. More than anything the biggest disappointment was that both owners were there and privey to what was happening with our appointments and not once did they take notice or approach us to let us know that they felt bad about the mix up. They just didn't seem to care. It's a very busy salon so maybe our 5 appointments don't really mean anything?? We felt bad for the techs and didn't want to penalize them for scheduling errors on behalf of the shop so we did tip 20% as we would have normally. The pedicure was just ok. I'm not sure I will be back. This is my third time at the salon since April so im not a huge customer but I was a repeat customer. repeat customers in my opinion are what helps to build a book of business. read more

I went there for the first time last weekend for a no ship... unfortunately in a matter of a week i have 3 nails that have chipped, and the rest of them have crackles in them. am going back today, in hopes for them re-do my set. This procedure isnt cheap! And I hope this isn't another salon that "waters down" the polish . I see some salons doing this and I cant believe, when I see salon;s doing this.. I will say the atmosphere is GREAT - nice, clean chairs, pretty decor - very upscale feeling. Usually busy, but not so much that there would be a huge problem getting in as a walk-in (unless its a weekend). The only thing I did not like was that they talked me into getting a no-chip manicure on top of my acrylics, because it would last longer. I've never had a problem with regular nail polish not lasting on top of fake nails, but told them "ok." They chipped SO BAD. And I've had no chip manicures MANY times before on my bare nails and they lasted fine... not sure what the deal was. I went to a meeting out of town the next day and was embarassed shaking everyones hands with my nails all chipped up. I went back in for them to fix it when I got back in town, and they did (for no charge, as I would expect with good customer service), but then they chipped again right away. I think it was an issue with either the brand of no chip (OPI) and the acrylics... so not TOTALLY their fault - but don't recommend something to me (that costs more) if its not clearly a better choice. In general, this is NOT the place I've had the best manicure and pedicure I've ever had in my life, but I think they do a reasonable job. Pedicures have always looked nice, and the price and color selection is good. Massage chairs are comfy, and as I mentioned, atmosphere is very nice. I'd return for a pedicure. read more
