I decided to give this salon a chance due to its high reviews here. Also was wanting to transition from NexGen/dip powder due to how harsh the process is on nails. This place blew me away. I had Tina and her husband work on my hands (they take turns doing certain tasks and honestly it's so efficient.) They educated me on why acrylics and dip is so bad for the health of nails and gave me a fabulous manicure without using grinders or dremel tools. I'll definitely be coming back! Absolutely love this place. I hadn't been in awhile due to a move but I walked in and Tia immediately remembered me and asked about my family. They have such comfy recliners you can lean back and relax in after your feet are done soaking. And the nail work was sooo good for me! I bite my nails and so they are very short but they always do such a great job and are willing to change colors if you ask, etc. all around great service! read more

I came here 2 times for a pedicure and the service was great! Third time coming and it was for a manicure and I guess that was my mistake? Not sure why they offer that service if they don't want to actually do them. The lady I got was rushing from the start, and then mid way another lady came to "help" but was rushing like crazy. Mind you there's no one in there but one other girl who's already being worked on. Then on top of that when it was towards the end I was waiting for them to notice how sloppy it looked and they said nothing until I pointed it out. THEN that's when they offered to clean it up. Right when I was about to pay I noticed there was nail polish all under my nails, which call me crazy but I would expect them to take care of that as part of service. When I said something their response was "just wash it off". Well okay, thanks lol! Anyways come at your own risk, maybe they'll want to do your service right, maybe they won't. Good luck! read more

Not your standard nail salon. The chairs are recliners and there is no bowl for your feet to soak in. They bring out a wash basin and set it on a vibrating foot massager but it is not the same. Probably the worst manicure and pedicure I've had in all these years. First, you're not assigned to just one or two manicurists, it's a revolving door of personnel, and it's a little intimidating if you aren't expecting it. The salon is in a strip mall next to an auto body repair shop. The interior is very basic. No spa chairs, just a simple massage recliner and a foot tub is brought out to you. There were 4 people working on me: 1 for the pedicure, 1 manicure, 1 "massage therapist " and 1 finisher. Your feet are allowed to soak in just plain water while you receive your manicure - but your fingertips do not soak in any water. Cuticle softener is used to "moisten" the cuticles before trimming, and unfortunately, this process does nothing work for my tips. There were dry skin left untrimmed. The toenails were cut crooked, dry skin still around the feet. I actually went home to finish off what was not done. And, the pricing wasn't reasonable for the service received. read more

I love my nails. My only suggestion is maybe an interior upgrade, it looked dated - it was weird that they used a vibrating machine and a bucket of warm water versus what I'm use to at other salons. Other than that the owner is nice! Attentive. Recommend for sure. read more

Ok so I feel like I say it all the time but THIS is the BEST pedi in Plano. Now let me be 100% honest and tell you what this place is not: posh, no jets, no massage chairs. Who cares about fancy lighting, music, overpriced chairs, and moving water. What this place IS: amazing attention to detail, precision, great foot massage, relaxing. Mom met me up here after my gym workout to treat me to a birthday pedi. Thanks mom! I feel so silly for not getting our technician's names but they were fabulous. Everyone was so pleasant and I really liked how they didn't rush. Mom went with a classic pedi while I did shellac. We laid back in recliners and chatted it up while enjoying the experience. I love the huge selection of gel and polish offered, and really appreciated how the usual chemical smell is absent here. I was a little worried when I first got there. I needed my THICK Nexgen nails (dip powder nails) soaked off, tips taken off, and hopefully a manicure with as smooth as they could get my natural nail. It's always a struggle for me to get my nails healthy after wearing the Nexgen because most salons soak you in acetone and buzz the left overs off leaving my nails bumpy and ugly. I sat down to a quiet young man and girl clipping the tips off, flying everywhere. He thought it was a little funny. It was, but I was a little nervous at the process. They then began to buzz my nails before soaking with a very fine grit buzzer. Ok. Now I'm confused. That's never happened. So I questioned it, not having much patience as it was about 5:30 and I'm ready to get home. They sort of explain it will be better and we will soak them. So then the owner comes over to buzz, never getting down to the nail bed. We soak my nails and they painstakingly scrape and wipe until it's all gone. Probably took 30 minutes. Then I proceed to get a nicely manicured hand by the owner. Another girl came behind her while she did my other hand with warm (!!!) lotion and gave me an arm massage. And then they switch as my nails get polished with gel. At one point, I almost fell asleep. My earlier worries put behind me, I came out with beautifully smooth nails and a great gel manicure. The atmosphere. Quiet. Unbelievably quiet. They don't do acrylics so I doubt she breaks out that fine grit buzzer much. But she explained why they removed the powder nail that way, and if looks great. There was no idle chatter between manicurists. Another lady was relaxing and getting a mani/pedi. Another girl arrived for a pedicure when I was near done. She almost fell asleep too. Soothing, current music on. No tvs. Did I say quiet? No unnecessary talking. They promote natural nail care. Read on the website. It sounded great to me, and it was. I'm going back this week for a pedicure! read more

This is now my go-to place for gel nails. I had been meaning to write a review a long time ago, but forgot to take the time to compliment the service I receive here. Note: If you're looking for fancy jet spa chairs, margarita machines and waterfalls, etc. this may not be your cup of tea. This is no frills, NATURAL nail care services, as stated on her site and menu in the shop. Besides, the people that fuss about the "chair covers," do you see your other nail shops apply covers or wipe down the chairs from previous patrons before you sit down? Some of the complaints are uncalled for. Tia and her team, are very meticulous (some of the newer trainees are a bit on the quiet and shy side) but they are very consistent every time I've receive service for gel nails and polish change for my toes. (That's all I usually get anyway, no pedicures, etc.) For people who complain if their service takes longer than anticipated....think about it....if you want quality work, then it's worth the wait. She takes the time to give nail strengthening applications and oils to help the skin and nails. I'm a nurse, which means I'm foaming and washing my hands countless times a day, and the work that I do is pretty harsh on my hands. Would you believe that my gel nails stay intact, shiny and perfect (except for growth) for a full month?! I get so many compliments on my nails. I'm very lazy about getting manicures consistently, so a month is awesome. Also, my previous place I went to, although it would last a month, the application was very thick, looking at my nails up close, they didn't look natural. Gel nails are the only way I've been able to keep polish on and help it grow with my occupation. Frequent handwashing has weakened the tips of my nails. I usually go during the weekdays, less traffic, this past weekend was the first time I went on a Saturday, but it's expected for weekends to be busier. Keep up the great work Tia (and her team). Clearly they are padding their rating with fake reviews and that kind of makes me mad. But, we drove all the way over so decided to give it a try. We went with their $35 Peppermint special (normally $45), and were promptly offered a drink. The weird: No pedicure chairs or manicure stations. Everyone sits in recliners and they work on you there. No frills (not a problem if the pedi is good). The bad: There was a lot of unpleasantness to the experience. The water and paraffin were both far too hot. The callous remover was too fast and rough, making us both giggle uncomfortably (I've probably had hundreds of pedicures and never experienced this before). The peppermint stuff they put on at the end actually burned for quite some time. My feet were still rough afterwards (I'll need to break out the ped egg when I get home). Completely neglected the dead skin around my toes. The description of the service said 15 minute massage - only got 10. I really really missed the massage chair experience. The good: I liked my nail polish. It cost a few bucks less than I am used to paying. The massage was great but way too short. They offered a drink. Hi Thia, I was not going to write a bad review of your salon until my toe started hurting today. Had a manicure and pedicure yesterday. Had several issues while I was there, but was not going to complain about them at first. Now I feel you should know about them as the owner. When I was asked to sit down after arriving, noticed big pieces of clipped toe nails right by the chair I was asked to sit from previous pedicures. There is no reason for them not being cleaned up, as the salon had only 2 other customers and they were sitting in different chairs. Then when the technician set down, did not introduced herself. Its common at most salons. She brought the water out for my feet to soak in, it was way to hot and was burning my skin. Was never asked if temperature as ok? Shortly after another lady started working on my hands, without saying anything. None of them asked me what type of service do I want? By readying your website before noticed that you offer several types of pedicures. The lotion that they brought out later and used for the arm massage was also very hot. Again, no checking if temperature was ok? The chairs are comfortable in the salon, and noticed that they had a remotes for back massage, but was never explained or ask if I would like to turn them on while seated. Today my left toe started hurting as nails were cut to short, and every time it touches my sock hurts. Over all I feel I had a poor experience with low quality service. Today I had my second visit to Nail Care and I have to say, I will be returning and recommending! I had my first gel manicure here three weeks ago. I was on my lunch break, but Tia moved quickly and was very friendly. She will chat with you, but if you want to sit and relax she will be pleased to sit peacefully as well. I was very impressed with the manicure, and equally impressed that even after three weeks there was very little chipping or peeling. Cosmetically, I needed a new manicure simply because my three weeks of growth was starting to look funny around the cuticles. (I forgot to take a picture to add here, but I will next time.) During the visit today, I was once again on my lunch break and I did not realize that there was a more-involved process to remove a gel manicure (although if I thought about it, it makes sense, and I will plan ahead next time). My appointment was also started late and was with a young lady (not Tia, who was out to lunch I think). After realizing that I only had a half hour left, I asked the girl how much longer she thought it would take and that I had 30 minutes. Tia had since returned and they did a side-by-side manicure to make sure I got out of there on time. I was very grateful to both of them for such fast service, and the quality of my manicure is still excellent. Interesting nail shop. I stopped here because my favorite nail salon usually is booked and appointment only. I needed a manicure now so I booked with nail care salon. The interior is different than usual nail salons I've been to, no foot bowl, or desks for manicures. Also noticed the place was a little dirty in some areas such as dust and debris. I took one star off because they do need to update the interior of the nail salon too as it looks a bit outdated, and I also wasn't offered anything to drink. My manicure nail color I chose came out okay for some reason it didn't look clean and crisp like you see in some pictures of manicures. I came here because my normal nail tech was fully booked for the weekend and a couple of my nails broke. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I determined that this would be the place I'd check out. Every single nail tech in Nail Care was very kind. I was the only person there and literally all 6 of them did my mani/pedi. That has never happened to me before. The owner (I think) mentioned that they do that when no one else is there so that the customer does not need to sit there for hours. It's a family run business, which I love. My daughter and I had pedicures here and I am impressed with the owner's level of commitment to her business and the ladies working for her. I was immediately happy with how comfortable the recliners felt. I'm used to massage chairs which, frankly, don't feel very supportive of my back despite the fact that they supposedly massage. The music selection was relaxing, and it was quiet enough inside that I felt the need to talk softly as to not disturb others. Initially, I had an issue with my pedicure. Probably in part because I know what I'm used to and they do things a little differently here. But, the owner immediately knew something was wrong and stepped in. All the gals work together as a team and the owner moves about from customer to customer helping out and making sure all is well. She explained a few things to me and my pedicure was shortly back on track and my feet were soft, relaxed and looking great an hour later. Oh, and she provides a great assortment of higher quality polishes including Zoya which is a fave of mine. Will be returning. Glad I took the chance on this place and that the manager checked on me. Tried this salon out after reading Yelp reviews. Tia did my gel manicure and pedi. Amazing job! She really took her time and made them look perfect. I asked her to do the ombre and it turned out gorgeous, like a muted Tequila Sunrise. I told her my big toes get ingrowns and she took a couple extra minutes to work on them and I walked away pain free. The staff was really nice and not pushy. I liked how the chairs were recliners, sometimes those huge spa chairs are awkward. FYI no acrylics if that's what you're into. Fairly priced. read more

I had a picture of something I wanted, and she said she could do it. I was offered a drink and shown to a very comfortable recliner. I was getting a mani/pedi and had two employees begin working on my hand and feet. A third then came over to massage my hands. It was incredibly relaxing - no loud TVs or the usual whir of the nail drills. The finished product was the best mani/pedi I have gotten in years! First, let me say that I have been around the block with nail salons. I've had very few "wow" experiences and more often that not, mediocre or terrible experiences. That being said, this nail salon is hands down the best in the area. Upon arriving at the salon, I had NexGen nails on that were lifting after two weeks from a different salon. It was odd to me at first that they did not perform any type of acrylic (even Nexgen) services, but after some explanation and encouragement, I decided to give them a try. If it tells you anything about the business, another patron overheard me talking with the owner, Tia, about my previous experiences and what I was wanting and she began to explain to me how awesome of a job they did and how she drives there from Fort Worth. So I relaxed and let the staff take over! Tia soaked my nexgen nails off before we got started. At every other salon, they are in such a hurry that they soak them for a couple of minutes and then damage your nails by grinding them down with the drill before they add your nexgen again. Tia quickly removed my nails by only soaking my hands in warm water and acetone. My pedicure was fabulous, not to mention I was relaxing in a huge comfy armchair and had a glass of wine provided! Even better, throughout my gel manicure, they walked back and forth between hands, I didn't have to awkwardly reach across and make myself uncomfortable by having my hands and feet done at once. They were accommodating of my Pinterest wants (which I'm sure they are sick of) and had no hesitation to take on the daunting task! My gel manicure and toes were immaculate afterward!! And the prices are amazing. As a bartender, I was very hesitant to only have a gel manicure, as every other time I've opted for that as opposed to nexgen or acrylic, my nails would flake off within a few days. These nails have been super strong and I'm almost to week 3 with no cracks or breaks!! I'm very hard on my nails behind the bar and this is just awesome!! I will be back, and I will be recruiting all of my friends that have their nails done elsewhere to come visit at least once! (Although I know they will be repeat customers after they leave!) A friend told me about this place and granted not by the outside is it a place I would think to go. I went right when the opened and immediately had 3 nice ladies working on my nails and pedi. They all payed attention to detail and took time to do so. I deff enjoyed and will go back. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is it's a little dirty. I would totally love to update it for them!
