Ive been going to this nail shop several times and the service is not always the best. Once they cut my toe to the white meat! I gave them grace! But the constant back handed compliments I would get about my height and and how I look was the last straw. I have only been to the Plano location. This has been my "go to" mani/pedi place for 7 years! Every technician does a great job!

I went in for a French manicure but unfortunately my technician couldn't do it because the white polish had expired and was making everything sticky. The lady up front explained it to her before we started, but alas it wasn't in the cards. However, they tried to charge me for a French when all I got was a regular manicure with a layer of glitter. Luckily, I caught it and the host corrected the charge ticket, so make sure you look at your bills. For 25$ -you get nails trimmed, cuticles trimmed, hand lotion application , and hot towel. We visited this place today, got dip nails, along with pedi and gel on toes. Place appears good however the quality of work wasn't at par. Service was done on so much rush, even though we had appointment for our party. I see bubbles on my nails with dip and texture if so bumpy and irregular. Today, I was racially stereotyped at and it left me deeply hurt and humiliated. I came in to get a pedicure and was calm, quiet, and reading a book. Afterward, I decided I wanted a manicure and selected a service. The nail tech prepped her tools and then told me the price. I said "OK." But then she looked at me and asked, "Do you have enough money to pay?" That question cut me like a knife. I wasn't bargaining. I was confused. I wasn't causing trouble. I was just a Black woman sitting in a salon and minding my business. Her assumption that I couldn't afford the service was not only offensive but it was racist. I said I no longer wanted the service and asked to pay for the pedicure only. As I waited, I heard her explain the situation to another tech--but no one addressed my visible tears. When I asked her directly why she would say something like that, she laughed. That moment wasn't just unprofessional it was cruel and dehumanizing. I'm sharing this because this kind of treatment happens to people who look like me far too often. We are treated with suspicion just for existing. We are humiliated when we stand up for ourselves. And somehow, we're expected to stay silent so others stay comfortable. Do better. Because what happened today wasn't about a manicure it was about the dignity you stripped me of. read more

New to town and trying to find my new salon. This one was close to me so decided to try it. $45 I think for a French gel manicure. My nails were filed down so thin to remove my previous gel that they're bending constantly. I've been getting gel for about 5-6 years and they've never been this thin, they're thinner than my usual natural nails. French tip was done sloppily and they're already chipping two days later. However, I did notice they had many affordable packages to select from.  My only reason for not giving a five-star has to ask for a glass of wine or water! Bump on my skin from the acrylic it itches so bad. I was annoyed the lady told me it was 50$ for "long" nails then charged to 60$ after speaking to the manager and I brought someone with me who heard 50 to so i was confused on what changed, originally wanted longer nails but she kept cutting them down she wasn't listening to me at all! reason being I asked the price for the ones she was deciding to give me which was 50$ yet I'm pretty sure she was new or something she kept laying the acrylic on my skin and using to much it was burning and then she didn't know how to make the stiletto shape so she made almond I really don't know what is up with this location (BTW IN THE PHOTO THE SHAPE YOU SEE IS WHAT I DIDNT AFTER THE APT AT HOME) but this location is absolute trash not really clean either I will only go to the Addison location from now on. I came in for the first time. I will not be back. Jenny the nail tech did my nails. My nail beds were over filed and over drilled. It took almost 3 hours. All I wanted was pink and white Nextgen. I was left with tic tac looking nails with uneven thickness. Worst experience for a first time at a salon. I was made late to a dinner too. When I asked politely to fix my concerns, I was told they would wouldn't and was treated with extreme rudeness. The staff needs more training and the salon needs a manager that can communicate professional expectations. read more

I have been going to this nail salon since moving to Plano 5 yrs ago. Most of the time it has been good. However, in the last 6 months the service has continued to go down. the manager at the front is rude and acts angry most of the time. There is broken equipment that has been broken the last two times I've been there. I decided to give them another chance today and my appt was coming to an end. a larger party came in and my daughter and I were rushed out quickly to make room for this other party. I really hate posting any negative reviews but this was too bad and I legit cried when I got to my car because they are so ugly, so far from what I asked/PAID AND TIPPED for, and I sat in the most uncomfortable chair for OVER 3 HOURS for this basic, uneven, and not even cured correctly and my nails aren't smooth. Outside of having a large brick and mortar, I don't even know why this place is still open. It took Tina 3 tries to do A LINE under my French tip (she had reassured me over and over she definitely could do it). I remained silent and told her, "it's fine" so many times I forgot. Sorry doesn't mean anything if you don't do better after the apology. I paid extra for a cuticle trim, which I don't even know how I missed that part until now. I know nails are petty, superficial, and an extra some cannot afford. My man gave me money to get my nails done today so I could feel beautiful and I left crying and spent his money in the process. I even took the time to chat with Tina and tell her this and how happy I was to just be getting my nails done. If you want decent shaping, even application of product, and actual attention to what you want you're better off going to the notoriously awful Cowboy Nail Bar. read more

I came in here to get some of my acrylics removed that were done by someone else. The nails were way too thick and the lady who took them off for me took her time to make sure she didn't hurt my nail and got every last piece of the nail off. Went for pedi's while visiting my friends. 3 of us. Picked the $55 Red Wine Pedi because the massage was supposed to be 20 minutes. I was the third to sit down, and was the first finished. The massage was less than 5 minutes, total & part of it was through a paraffin bag with my foot still inside. Terrible. Lastly, ZERO CALLUS removal. No cheese grater. My heels & toes are still rough and yucky. My 2 companions had very similar poor experiences. Don't go here. Castle Nails...seriously, your prices aren't cheap & your fulfillment of service is completely lacking. Go do some industry research, or you'll be out of business soon. 1 good thing, the jelly at the beginning. That was fun. What wasn't fun, the cold water that was used to rinse me (& my friends!) and then was in the jelly leaving my feet cold; that zapped the funness. read more

I can speak for anyone else but Shelby is the truth. I was in a pinch and needed my eyebrows done so bad. I happened to be in the area on my lunch break so I stopped in and thankfully she helped me. My eyebrows were perfect when she got done. I then scheduled an appointment to get my natural nails done with NextGen and a pedicure. Just view the pics. I got my nails done July 18, 2018 today is August 18, 2018 and with the exception of growth my nails still look great. It's literally been a month!!!!
