Terrible. There was someone's foot shavings in my water while I was getting a pedicure done.

This place was great. I am visiting from Chicago and had to pick a place based on Yelp reviews. I get my nails done every two weeks at home so I'm a little picky. This place was only one of two places that had 5 stars. I would agree. I was able to walk in, no wait, had a deluxe pedicure and a no chip gel manicure. It was all fantastic. The place is very clean, well maintained, lots of options, very nice and decently priced. I got a deluxe pedi and mani for $65. I will definitely go back. I highly recommend. read more

A 2 hour wait because they let people that came in after us go in front of us and they were walk-in's. Nails were very very thick. There was a hair under the acrylic so they had to redo it. After many corrections, they turned out alright. I recommend sky nails and not this place. read more

if i could give 0 stars i would. forget the service being bad, and leaving the past 3 times with NOTICEABLE marks one EVERY nail. they make up prices as the days go. last time i left paying $50, today i got charged $100 for the SAME service. please, save your money and time and do NOT go here. I have been coming here for about 5 months. They are so nice. I LOVE Katie!! She is great. I used to do plain pink and whites, but when I started coming here I decided to do something fun. So I brought Katie some pictures of nail art I wanted to try. She was awesome about just jumping in and getting it done. It was great. A lot of places aren't like that. They seem to never have any sense of urgency or knowledge of how first come first served works. Not the first time I've had to wait, I've tried setting appointments but that's a waste of energy considering you still wait about an hour with one!! But today really just took the cake for me Let me set the scene 3 techs. 5 women. Two were already getting sets done, it was me and my friend then a lady after us. Sat there through my friends set. Whatever. Waited and no one opened up. Got her set finished and immediately I was told I wasn't next and I had to wait so the old lady who came in after me could get her set done????? Right at the same time another tech had gotten free and just went MIA all of a sudden. When I said I wasn't waiting any longer and got up to leave there was zero rush to get me sat, my business simply didn't matter enough. "10 more minutes wait 10 more minutes" which always turns into 30 somehow. Note the lady after me never said anything about an appointment or nothing. No one gave me any explanation. This has put such a spoiled taste in my mouth. Only two of them do good work, so theres a good chance the wait isn't even worth it. Honestly just go somewhere with better customer service skills and save 3 hours. read more

The reason I've decided to rate this a 3 star is because the quality of the work is amazing but the customer service not so much... When I treat myself to things like my nails it is important to me that I'm getting my moneys worth. This place charges extra for any little thing and they are already pretty pricey. The owner almost always does my nails and I've been going to her now for a few months; although, I have never left with the exact shape I desired. She insisted that it was my fault that I had the shape I did, rather than accept responsibility and own up to the fact that she does whatever she wants to my nails regardless of what I've told her in the past. This place cares WAY more about your money than they do you. read more

This place is great! After having a terrible time with Signature Nails, I found Nail Center and loved it! The atmosphere was better and the people were friendlier. I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted and one of the nail techs very nicely explained what it sounded like I wanted and I couldn't have made a better choice! My tech was fast but she was very focused on the little details. She would check and re check my nails over and over, making sure that it was glued down properly, didn't have any bubbles and that it was even. I was shocked with how much time she put into it and really felt like she cared about her work which is rare to come by. The salon was inviting and had really interesting shelves that lit up with different colors to the beat of the music that was playing and that was a fun touch. There was an older man getting a pedicure when I came in, he had just finished up with it and hopped up out of the chair, he said that it was the most amazing pedicure he's gotten before and that made me smile. All in all I'd give this place a huge 5 stars and from the sound of it, others do too! read more

I've been coming here for years. They do a great job at a reasonable price! Very friendly and courteous. Very clean!

We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach and heard about Nail Center by a dear friend who is a Surfside resident. I love Nail Center's color selections and most importantly, the conscientious employees. They do very good work and the place is clean. We particularly like the sterilization of their equipment which is "standard" at most Nail salons. read more

I am not sure how this place ended up with such great reviews. I came here yesterday for a mani-pedi. I called ahead and asked if they were busy. They said no. I got there and the opposite was true. They sat me in a pedicure spa chair where I waited for at least 20 minutes. While I waited an employee came to check in on my fingernails- I told him I didn't want them clipped so he did a quick filing. Then another customer came in who did not appear to have an appointment but who wanted their gel nails filled and had brought a couple friends to get their nails done - definitely a pricier procedure and seemed to be more of a priority for him. He left me sitting in the chair with no comment or aplology and went and started working on the other girls instead. He was not friendly towards me- acted like a diva. Finally another guy who was finishing up someone else's pedicure moved on to me. He was friendly and brought me a bottle of water which was nice (which is the only reason this is 2 stars and not 1 star). He gave me a brochure to pick what I wanted. I told him When I called ahead they had told me it was $35 for a Mani-pedi and that's what I wanted. From that point on you could tell his heart was not really in it. He wasn't careful enough during the pedicure and ended up hurting me. My nails were not filed evenly. The polish job was uneven. And my polish is already chipping off on my toes on the edges. I was there for almost an hour and a half including the wait time and felt invisible. I would never come back here again. FYI: I still tipped him well since it's a lot of work and they probably don't pay their employees much. Note: The positive reviews dealt with the other procedures so maybe you would have a different experience if you were having an expensive procedure done. But for a basic Mani-pedi I recommend you try somewhere else. read more

I was a bit hesitant to try Nail Center after reading a poor review on Google but it was so close to my home I gave it a try. I had an excellent experience. The pedicure was one of the best I have had...very relaxing. I also had a manicure which was great as well. The Google complaint seemed to be about the pricing. I found that their pricing for services to be comparable with other shops in the area. Very friendly, welcoming and great service. Don't let one poor review stop you from trying them! read more

From CT and staying in Myrtle Beach for a few weeks and needed a UV gel fill. Decided to try this place because of the great reviews on Yelp. Super happy with how great my nails turned out and would definitely recommend Nail Center. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they said 10 minute wait and it was more like 30 minutes. read more
