Due to time constraints, I was not able to take care of some personal pampering before my trip to Myrtle Beach. The concierge at my hotel recommended Polished Nail & Wax and I tell you...I was not disappointed. This nail spa is well appointed with beautiful decor. It is also, from what I could tell, very clean and well taken care of. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted and asked what service I needed. Although I had to wait a little bit, that was expected given I did not have an appointment. But, when I left, I was pleased, and looking forward to a return visit. If you are visiting the Myrtle Beach area, and require a manicure, pedicure, and/or a waxing service, you won't be disappointed by visiting Polished Nail & Wax. AMAZING!! I have been to this Salon twice and I'm making it my regular! Came in this afternoon with a nailmergency because I went to try a different salon and was very unhappy with my results. I walked right on in, and they said they would file it off and redo it for me! Lisa was exceptional and very detailed and my manicure came out beautiful! Initially, I was very impressed and planned to make this my new salon. I enjoyed the service I received and was pleased with the results. Major sticker shock when I checked out. No mention was made at any time that there is a 15.00 upcharge for getting gel polish, 10.00 upcharge to remove polish, an upcharge for them to file/shape your nails, additional charges to use a magnet for a cat eye effect on polish marketed as Cat Eye. Letting the customer know there are many additional charges for what they consider "additional services" should have been made early/before the serivce to give us a chance to decide whether we can pay for/want to pay extra for everything. I selected the milk and honey pedicure and was so relaxed during the leg massage I could've fallen asleep. So clean, all of the staff was kind and professional, and I walked away feeling like a pampered princess Came here as a Christmas gift for my mom and sister and it was amazing! We each got the milk and honey pedicures and deluxe manicures. SO relaxing and fun! My skin has never felt so soft and we all felt so relaxed! They kept us all sitting together for pedis, moved us to be close together for manis, and we all finished at the same time which was so nice! We were very excited to go here as this was our first time. The 3 pedicure services today were extremely rushed including not allowing our toes to dry fully causing my middle toe to chip while paying. i told the lady checking us out about it in which she replied "you mess it up" but told me to please sign for payment and ignored my newly painted and chipped nail. The lady doingmy friends feet was very bossy And pushed her leg down when she raised it. I based setting my appointment on the reviews and I'm sorry I didn't do a deeper dive. The store is nice but the attention to the important things is lacking. Pricing should be clear. Maybe a price list should be installed or available when checking in from the start. I never heard of a separate charge for shaping the nail prior to polishing. A basic shape, nothing special, one would believe this is part of the manicure and included as part of that service. The same goes for the polish yet these were in addition to both the manicure and pedicure that I got. I like surprises but not when it comes to time to pay. I'm So very disappointed. Went there last week and got a manicure. Not even a hour later one of my nails chipped. Here I am eight days later and three of my nails have chipped . I have never had gel polish do this before. Highly recommend this place! Chloe is amazing at doing designs. I wanted something super unique and sort of coconut girl aesthetic for a music festival and she delivered! She really put a lot of time and energy into these designs and I was so happy with how they turned out. I've been here several times since they opened - and they always do a fantastic job. I've had Jenny, Mia, and Anna as my nail techs, and they are all fantastic! I've had both the milk/honey & the aloe vera pedicure (the aloe vera being my favorite - definitely worth the up-charge from the standard) The atmosphere is beautiful, the chairs are high quality. I went there today. it was aweful. I asked for full set acrylic with french tips, the young guy there couldn't make it and my nails look extremly thick and loose. The wax lady ruined my eyebrow, she made one side of my eyebrows thick and the other thin. I'm soooo frustrated. Visited PNW 8/21/2024. First visit, but definitely not my last. After talking with Tom about acrylic vs LCN nails decided to have my acrylic nails removed and go with the LCN. Ken, with the help of wife Jenny, was the technician who provided the service. He did a great job . I am very happy with the outcome! Another reason I'll return, the overall experience at PNW. The shop is beautifully decorated, and clean. Yes, the techs are Vietnamese, but all the people I talked with spoke very good English. Didn't hear a lot of Vietnamese being spoken, even when they spoke with each other. Now, am very curious as to how long my nails will last. LCN nails are slightly more costly but they do look and feel like real nails. Thank you Ken. read more

was excited to try because i've heard great things and reviews. made an appointment for 11am with my mother and sister for them to get a gel manicure and for myself to get a fill. walked in and the girl at the front counter honestly had extremely poor customer service. even with our appointment time we had to wait a while before they finally pulled my sister for her gel manicure. it wasn't until my sisters manicure was done when the same lady came back to get my mother. i was still waiting in the lobby when at 11:45 someone finally came to guide me to a chair where the desk had a bunch of junk on it and there was no nail tech present. when the nail tech finally came over, instead of greeting me she looked at the woman next to her and said that she couldn't take me she had an appointment at 11:45. the woman dismissed her waving her off telling her to just take me anyway. i felt extremely awkward as the nail tech who i was sat with looked extremely fed up and asked me what color i wanted before storming away. when she came back i realized this scheduling issue was less than likely to be her fault, and feeling extremely uncomfortable anyway, I offered to just come back another time. Instead of being offered any accommodation or at the very least an apology for the confusion and waste of my time, she just said "yea my appointment is here." that's when i decided it was best that I go back to my regular nail salon instead where I actually receive kind treatment and am happy with my results. Will not return. Two stars instead of 1 though because my mother and sisters manicures turned out well and they had a pleasant time with their technician. The atmosphere is also very nice. I would recommend going here if you have plenty of time and patience, because even with an appointment set it seems you're not guaranteed to be seen in a timely manner, or to be treated well. seems they could really use some work on both their customer service skills and appointment organization. read more

Went to this salon for the 2nd time because I liked it my first visit and it's close to where I live. Got the same thing as before. Regular pedicure with gel polish. 2nd time charged $40 + 8 (for gel polish) + 1.50 (I guess for tax) = $49.50. I questioned the cost and was told this was correct. Won't go back - my first time was a total of $40 with gel polish with 20% off. Didn't even get 10% off my 2nd visit. Didn't want to make a scene because they were busy. Question the cost if you go there. Not a Happy camper after leaving there. read more
