So I'm brand new to Brooklyn. I only moved here a few days ago from Chicago. At the end of June (before I moved), I got a dip manicure and while it lasted, due to my move and all the work I had to do with my hands my nails were cracked and painful so going to a salon was my #1 priority once unpacked. Very glad I found this place! I made an appointment online. It was easy. I had warned the tech that I'm a stomach cancer survivor, so without my stomach I have vitamin deficiencies, which means my nails break easily. She took great care of me taking down my old nails, wrapping my ripped nails (no other salon has put wrappings on my ripped nails, so I didn't mind that it's $2 per wrap) and gave me a beautiful Japanese gel manicure. I also absolutely partook in the 10 minute massage for $1. Best chair massage I've had! And much needed after moving. I thought the prices are all very reasonable. I had previously lived in Boston and Chicago. I didn't think anything was overpriced. It's best if you call or use the appointment system online, especially on weekends. My impression is that they are busy and do their best to accommodate walk ins. It's always scary to me to go to a new place, but they were wonderful. First impressions really make or break places for me. They have gained a new loyal customer. read more

First off, the staff is very kind. They always try their best to accommodate and take care of you, even when they are busy. They offer a variety of beverages when you come in and massages! CeCe, Mie have always been the girls I end up getting and they are always attentive to details and my desire for nail designs! They are always up for a challenge when I bring my inspirations from insta and they alway manage to get them good! I called a day in advance to make an appointment for a Japanese gel fill and was told I could come in at 1pm the following day. Arrived on time for my appointment and waited 10 mins before anyone even checked the schedule and apparently they had no record of my appointment. I ended up waiting a half an hour and they took someone who came in 15mins after me before me. The woman who was working on me didn't apologize at all for the wait and seemed rushed/annoyed throughout the service.The atmosphere the whole time was unfriendly it was not a good experience. The booking system is obviously not reliable as another customer came in with an appointment while I was there and they also had no record of her, asked her to come back hours later and didn't apologize to her either. I get that things might slip through the cracks from time to time when things are busy but the the fact they had no record of two appointments in a short time span and weren't apologetic in either case speaks really poorly of the salon. read more

Yesterday I went for a manicure and pedicure at Chic and the manicurist I had was very rough with me. I kept telling her to be more gentle because she was hurting me but she didn't listen. I was scraped on my ankle in 2 spots and she left small cut on my pointer finger with a very fine knife. She kept looking at me and laughing alot and speaking in another language with her friends and totally disregarded what I said to her. I had to ask twice for the message special because she didn't give me the promotion that I wanted. This woman was the very thin one there. Avoid going there at all costs! She should not be hurting her customers! It was a horrible experience! Beware! read more

Came here for a pedicure with my girlfriend and had a great experience. Clean facilities and nice staff.

I made an appointment for 10 a.m. The salon is supposed to be open at 9:30. I arrived at 9:50, attempted to open the door (it was locked), and stood outside for 15 minutes as the folks who worked there stared at me. No one even bothered to open to door and ask me why I was standing there. Ridiculous. I wanted to give zero stars, but Yelp doesn't allow that. read more

One of the worst experience and pedi I ever had .... Upon walking in their is no one at the front I had greeted them and informed I called ahead. Honestly it looked like they didn't even want to take me I should've left then but I decided to see it through silly me. I sat down and the water wasn't even prepared ok cool but when they saw that I had gel from a previous shop they started to look at my feet and stare and the other tech also started to look over and talked about me in their language like seriously. The girl I had was clearly new because she couldn't take the previous polish off and another tech had to come and remove it and the pressure of that dril was too high. The new tech came and was working on me but the other techs beside her kept looking at my feet and chatting away yyy like what's the issue . I showed up at 5:30 by the time I was finished with prep alone it was almost closing time. You know what that means rushing. Another tech took over and had painted my nails which was fine from afar until I GOT HOME. They seem very nice and was asking if the color was ok and the temp of the water along the way which I liked. Towards the end my nails were drying under the air and they offered me a massage thats 10 min for a dollar in exchange for an review. I really enjoyed that massage and thought it was a nice touch to top it off. I had tipped even though I probably shouldn't have and it came to 50 without tip and $ 10 added for color removal. I thought that was strange cause I never been charged separately for color removal EVER so that was new to me. I got home and I had a bad feeling so I took off my socks looked at my feet and behold smudged nail polish and peeling off it wasn't completely dry and it looked a mess the painting looks incomplete very disappointed . Google reviews has 5 stars but who knows they probably removing bad reviews I should've looked on yelp because it's 4.1 and trust I would've never went here. Total waste of time don't recommend. Also I was the only black girl there that itself is a big red flag. (I don't usually take feet pics but it was necessary). read more

Lovely shop- updated, clean and bright. Very inexperienced staff. The manicurists are very slow moving and don't pay enough attention to detail. It can take over 60-75 minutes for a mani- pedi. If there r 3 workers with 3 clients, there is no one to respond to the phone or walk ins. They need to develop some multitasking skills and have staff that can move from one post to another on the floor. read more

And I thought my pedicurist did an excellent job, very thorough (she was even new, and sought help to make sure everything was fine). They also offer waters and treats (I declined, but I thought it's a nice perk). Highly recommended. I like the promo they're offering right now, a 15 minute massage for $1!! It may not last long!!
