This review is specifically for their wax services. I've been getting a Brazilian here consistently here for months and Eliza is so quick and efficient. I was also getting a Brazilian here through my pregnancy and Eliza was so gentle with me and really went above and beyond to make me comfortable. When I started having a hard time putting on my shoes she'd be right there to support me and help. The last time I went I couldn't believe how quickly time had passed. Edit 2 - had my nails redone with Angela and they look amazing, she was very precise and very kind, I really appreciate how the salon fixed their mistake and am looking forward to my next visit. I would not recommend this salon for a gel manicure. My nail tech was very nice but very distracted and very rushed. The nails are uneven, cuticles were left sticking out, one nail hasn't fully cured :/ I'm disappointed and I might have to go to my regular salon to get this fixed. I had a wonderful microdermabrasion experience with Hilda. She cleaned my face thoroughly before starting the microdermabrasion and gave me a lot of skincare tips while performing the procedure. I've been to Elan several times for face waxing and a facial -- I know, sorta risky, but my pores were extra-cloggy. First thing you need to know is they obviously care about making sure everyone is safe: they do temp checks, have hand sanitizer available and everyone wears masks. I've done a facial, eyebrow and lip waxes since August. For facials & lip waxes, they ask you to keep you mask on up until the moment they need to do the work and they wear a mask AND a face shield the whole time. BTW, I thought about whether I should be selfish or whether to tell you that Annabelle is THE BEST. She has a strong POV on eyebrow shaping but takes your POV into consideration. And has a really positive vibe. read more

Since I am almost 70, I wanted to have a haircut out in the garden to minimize risk of the virus. My stylist Maria did a beautiful job, and the garden itself is as cute as can be. The moment I walked in, they took my temperature and whisked me right outside into the sunshine. I apologized for my mask in terms of the problems it posed in haircutting (she, of course, was wearing one, too) and she said that it was no problem; when she worked on fashion photoshoots, she was sometimes cutting hair in the back of a moving limo. My stylist Maria, was lovely and most efficient. The salon was following Covid protocols properly and I felt perfectly safe. Full disclosure- my blow out took place in their outdoor patio area. The reason for my two star review is solely based on pricing. $50 for a blow out for chin length hair is much too much for me to pay, especially in these times. I had pre-bought a basic facial here but my esthetician, Samira, first insisted that I upgrade to a deep cleanse facial which was 50 dollars more. I agreed because she insisted and insisted. But then she proceeded to give me one of the most painful facial I have ever had. As in, tears flowing from my eyes. The mask at the end was soothing but when I left the spa, a couple of hours after - I developed three painful pimples (I rarely have pimples! And came into the facial with clear skin). I have never had this happen. 3 days later - I still have these pimples. I guess my skin was so stressed out from this facial. It really should have been the opposite. NIGHTMARE. STAY AWAY. I went for a pedicure. I asked the manicurist to not cut my cuticles and to just push back. First she couldn't find her nail trimmer, and then ended up asking to use the one the manicurist next to her had been using. I was in total shock, but she assured me everything was cleaned. But then, she pushes so hard and so deeply in my big toe that I get cut. It has been about 10 minutes and I am still bleeding. She kept wanting to put products on my toe to "clean" it, but I kept saying please I just want to go home and take care of this. Finally I escaped the chair. I will never come here again ever. Website has false prices. Their website says $120 for a partial balayage yet I just walked out with a $265+ tip bill. I turned down all the extra "add-ons" that they suggested I add. Can you imagine if I didn't!? They didn't blow dry or style my hair (they dried just the top so that I could see the color) and no haircut was included. (I did know this going in though and did not plan to have my hair cut). This being said I don't know how anyone could possibly be okay with spending this much money for a partial balayage - the stylist did no more than 10 foils. I feel absolutely and completely robbed and have such a bitter taste in my mouth. I am only giving it a 2 star and not a 1 because the girl who did my hair did do a good job with the color. But honestly just go somewhere else that is actually transparent with their prices before you go in and has a friendly face. The stylist was great but the manager that creates the prices/runs this place is very unfriendly and I have no desire to support her business in any way ever again. I also heard and watched her yell at a spa patron who made an apt with someone that she normally sees and was upset because the manager informed her that she was sorry but that person whom she'd made an appointment with just took someone else and so she needed to use someone else or come back another time with a take it or leave it attitude. read more

The color is exactly what I've been looking for. A natural rich chocolate brown with out red. His cut and blow dry was great. Elan also hosted my fiancé and I and our families for our wedding day and it couldn't have been better. Getting married is stressful enough but they really made the day easier. I made an appointment at Elan, very excited to finally get my hair done during COVID-19. I was due for a haircut and color in March, so by July.... I have had my hair done at this salon two times over the past year or so. But always a different stylist. The talent pool seemed good so I had no hesitation going back. Unfortunately, consistency is not a strong characteristic at this Salon. The pricing on the website was different the what I paid, they did not disclose certain information when making the appointment i.e. No blow dry allowed. After being disappointed with the 4 hour color process, where I ended up with an ombre when I asked for highlights. I was going to pay over $400 with tip and walk out with a soaking wet head!! I told them I was disappointed that I was not going to be able to see the finished product before leaving. So the stylist took me to the backyard and blew out my hair on a humid 90 degree day. I had previously been to this salon and asked for partial Balayage highlights and my hair was blonder then it is now, when I asked for full Balayage highlights. I ended up with an ombre, a sore scalp, and feeling ripped off. I will not be returning to Elan Salon, if you do, make sure you set aside alot of time and money. read more

Yesterday was my first visit to the salon, for a gel mani and regular pedi. I have been researching salons to visit based on their COVID policies, and they had clear policies posted, which I appreciated and made me feel comfortable enough to visit. I could even make my appointment online (amazing news for this millennial who avoids talking on the phone at all costs). Svetlana was very kind and extremely detailed! She even asked if this was my first mani/pedi since quarantine (it was) - I'm sure she asks everyone, but it was very thoughtful to ask. My nails are immaculate! I. Look. Gorgeous! Thanks to Svetlana, whom I can't recommend highly enough, the color of my hair is breathtaking and the cut is stylish and beautiful. Svetlana studied my hair for quite some time while she truly thought about what would look right for my face. I gave her permission to do anything, but not to go shorter than my shoulders. Not a problem for her. After ten million foils and a luxurious half hour at the sink (very high tech sink btw. it raises and lowers to support your neck) I was done. (A scalp massage was also thrown in, I'm telling you this woman is a pro!) I sent my cousin to her the next week. I'll post her pic as well. You will not leave Svetlana's chair unsatisfied.
