I was visiting Family in Carlsbad and wanted a quick inexpensive mani/pedi. I made and an appointment the night before and when I arrived was assisted right away. The service was quick, but I got a beautiful spa pedicure and manicure for a great price. Actually, I received better results than at home from my usual salon and pricier services! If you're looking for a spa atmosphere and gushy pampering, I'd skip it, but if you want quality service at a good price, I would go here. Stay away! Rude. I decided to try them only because it's close to home. Was quoted $45 for regular pedi and gel manicure. When done, they said $56. I paid assuming maybe I communicated poorly when I called for the quote. Tried them again last week to give them a second shot on gel mani. (I am a nurse and gel is the only thing that holds up). Cost was $30, which might be OK if it LASTED (or if the environment was nice, which it's not). Started chipping 7 days later when I wasn't do anything vigorous with my hands (vacation). So I went in to complain (gels usually last 3 weeks, minimum 2), and they said "oh your nails must have been oily or you do something", so I said I can't go to work like this can you just take it off? "that will be $10, it takes time" and "you should go somewhere else." Also someone else mentioned loud talking...one stylist is very loud and sarcastic, and although it was funny at first...it soon grew annoying since mani/pedi should be a relaxing experience! p.s. my adult daughter said they were rude to her too... read more

Made the mistake of giving this place a second try because it's so convenient. I've had acrylic nails for over 30 years and my worst experiences have been from this salon. The first set was for my nieces wedding a year ago and it was so bad I had to have them re-done 3 days later. Today I went in and had to point out that she was missing parts of my nail with the acrylic. On top of that, when she was filing my nails, she was going so fast that I had to point out that they were crooked....she said, "Do you want to file them yourself?" I said "No, that's what I'm paying you for". Really? THEN, she charged me for something I didn't get! I have NEVER NOT tipped anyone EVER! I have been having my nails done (fill) by Jenny at Nail Design every other week for 12 years. I have never been unhappy with either Jenny or the service. If I need to come in before the shop opens, due to my schedule, she is always willing to make arrangements to arrive early. I am a very satisfied customer. read more

Greatest pedicure and manicure ever. THeir massage pedicure chairs are amazing and the pedicures feel so good. The atmosphere is very friendly with lively people and the vibe is just perfect. DON'T use this salon. I was quoted $40 for a manicure and pedicure and when I looked at my credit card receipt a few days later they had charged me $75. The gal was very rough and made my cuticle bleed twice. Which has never happened in all my years getting manicures, Gels or acrylics . When I got home and the mineral oil washed off, all my cuticles were split and red. I think after reading these other reviews I am sorry to say they use the heavy accents as a way to cheat people on the pricing. I will warn everyone I know to stay away from this place. read more

This has to be the worst and most disgusting place I have ever been to. I am new to the area, so I didn't know of many nail salons, and I went to the nearest one. I visited this nail salon a total of 2 times and that was enough. Staff was extremely friendly but used dirty instruments! Pulled a dirty nail buffer out of the trash and used it on me. When my mother asked why they are using dirty products on me, she responded with "no, it's clean." Although it was clearly taken out of a receptacle marked as "trash". Not only was it not clean, but the nails turned out horrible ladies! Pedicure was ok, but my god I have never had a more uneven, ugly, chipped gel manicure in my life! Some nails were pointed into a weird nipple shape, while others were horrible misshapen. None of my nails matched one another. none. And to top it all off, she cut my cuticles until they bled on several of my fingers. Save your money ladies and gents. This place is NOT worth it.
