I'm African Americans but a Caucasian person came in after me and they advise give us 45 mins. No appointment just a walk in like myself. This place is very racial profile. I cannot say enough about this place!! First off, the staff is incredibly friendly. After a few visits, the owner remembered my name and the names of my friends. She often asks about them, even though I haven't come in with them in a long time due to our conflicting schedules. Not to mention, they always ask about school, work, and other ongoings in my life; which that kind of rapport building is lost on most businesses today. Their attention to detail and quality of their service is outstanding. They do such a thorough job, and never rush whether I pop in or have an appointment. And you can't beat their prices. They always do a fantastic job on my nails and even after taking a year long hiatus, they remembered who I was when I walked in! Came here for a pedicure. Clean facilities and great attention given to the tasks by the professionals. Offered different options for pedicure packages but did not try to up-sell like some places do. They were laid back and allowed you to make your own decisions. Final product looked great! Eyebrow waxing was good, as well. Attendant did great job. Only negative comment is that the room the waxing was done in had some messy boxes stacked in it. Overall, a great experience! Would recommend! read more

I decided to try this nail salon based on reviews. I found the nail technicians to be very friendly and courteous. My pedicure was great and my nails looked great! The only thing that I did notice was the lack of plastic barriers for the soak tubs and the nail tools were not sealed from sterile packets as other salons use. Hygiene still matters since people acquire fungal/bacterial infections and deadly MSRA from nail salons as well. read more

I use to be a regular until one day I had a scheduled appointment and the owner Tina informed me that I did not when it was placed in my phone and marked on calendar. No problem, right? well when I tried to schedule with the nail tech of my preference for the next day (busy) and the day after (busy) pretty much was told my business was not needed there..........I have not been back since. They have downsized from the large salon that they use to be in, it could be because of customer service that is lacking and or the quality of work. I was in the area and found this salon on yelp. Wandered in and was so pleasantly surprised. Tiffany did my toes. She was so ridiculously sweet and I really enjoyed talking with her. Though I only got the "basic" pedicure, she gave me an amazing foot and leg massage and really took her time to make sure my toes looked perfect. Love how they came out and she color matched the polish to the dip nail color I chose really well. Someone else did my hands and she also did a really great job. She took her time and they came out beautifully. They took me as a walk in around 4:00 with no wait, but did turn some people away after I arrived since they had gotten too busy. I paid $60 (without tip) for the pedicure and dip nail manicure. read more

I was looking for a new nail place due to a move and stopped here because it's close to my new house. My experience was barely average and I'll be looking for a different place. I was a walk-in and waited 15 minutes before I could be seated around 2pm in the afternoon. I got their house mani pedi combo (regular nail polish). The pedicure could use a lot more scrubbing and dead skin removal. I thought callus removal will be included but maybe I was mistaken. A day after my pedi I still had a lot of dry skill. The lady scrubbed my feet for less than a minute. The mani was ok as well. The polish could've been applied more precisely, in my opinion. I often paint my nails at home and can do a much better job myself. The place seemed cramped. Their chairs for pedicures are positioned in two's and they're TOO close together. While I was getting my pedi, there was an older man getting his right next to me. They were also doing his hands at the same time and his chair was so close that his hand nail clippings were flying all over and landing in my basin. Gross!!! There was nothing at this place for me to want to come back again. read more

I'm just wondering how hard it is to do a simple job. Could it really be that hard if you are certified to do it? Is it really that hard to make sure that my nails are going straightforward rather than going east and west? Is it really hard to trim my nails down to the length that I request versus leaving them so long that I am now required to use voice text for everything that I need to send via text? I will never go back to Nail Design ever again. I was charged for a pathetic job, and the lady convinced me to get an extra coat of paint that she charged me extra for without telling me about the extra charge. It looks like I'm going to have to spend more money now to go get them fixed at a decent nail salon! Don't tell me my nails are all of the sudden crooked because when I walked into your nail salon, my nails were perfectly straight. read more

The business caters to their reoccurring white consumers! New clients no biggie to them. I've attended this nail salon on 3 different occasions and 2 out of was horrible. First time i went for a pedicure and gel polish manicure. The nail tech dug into my nails and no one apologized on their behalf. I had to then wear acrylic on my nails since then because of how brittle my nails had become from improper gel nail removal. 2nd time i had a beautiful experience the tech was very pleasant doing my fill in. 3rd time no service! i was told to wait for 10mins and when returned although a tech was available i was told no service by the owner due to expecting appointments in 15-20mins. That enough time to do a pedicure. I will never go back here nor do i recommend their service! read more

I am very offended at the way they treated me today. I came in and asked to be seen, after walking in after another lady I was told to wait 30 minutes. I told her I could not wait but asked in the future do I need to make an appointment? She said no they take walk ins. I said okay and left to see if I could come back in 30 minutes. When I got back 25 minutes later I was told that they would not see me because they had already taken someone else. They told me they closed at 5pm and it was already 3pm and they could not take me within the two hours. I told her that she did not tell me to make an appointment and that they could take walk-ins. But she said no they can't see me at all between 3pm and when they closed at 5pm! I told her she should have told me that I needed to make an appointment. This place is very racist and discriminatory. They would see all people that were not african American descent before me but totally excluded me and would not serve me after I waited 30 minutes! Very disgusting and disappointing! Do NOT patronize unless you want to be treated poorly and discriminated against because you do not look like their Caucasian clients. read more

If you want to be treated fairly and with kindness and respect DO NOT GO HERE! The owner has a horrible temper and is unable to exercise professionalism or sound judgement. I am new to the area, had my nails done here once before and liked the quality of the work. So I decided to return memorial day weekend with my little sister. When we arrived the there was a crowd so we were offered a 4:30 appointment which I accepted and provided my phone number. I walked across the shopping complex to another nail shop simply to inquire and I went to the Kroger grocery store as well. Shortly before 4:30 I received a call from the owner during which he stated he removed me from the list because he watched me walk to the other nail shop and he knew I wasn't coming back. He then hung up. I called back and he refused to discuss the issue. I returned to the shop and in a calm manner expressed my concerns. The owner yelled about how other clients fail to cancel appointments, threatened to call the police (however he was the only person irate, angry and disrespectful) and refused to do our nails. His wife, a nail technician with a client at the time clearly did not agree with his behavior but failed to help solve the issue. I hope clients who witnessed the exchange will think twice about returning. The owner made a commitment, failed to keep it and treated me negatively based on an assumption. Every person deserve to be treated with dignity and respect particularly a paying client.It's unfortunate, the owner was unable to control his temper and judged me unfairly. My first experience was great, based on my last experience I will never return. read more
