Idk what my nails would do without her I've been doing Japanese hard gel for some time and had found a couple others previously in the Bay Area...but either it was bad customer service or terrible handiwork. After some searching, I found Carrie through IG and the rest is history. She's a master at her craft and truly creates a unique experience for you. She'll assess your nails, their health and strength, and provide recommendations on what's best for you. On top of that, her studio is IMPECCABLY clean and organized. Every tool is sanitized and wrapped and she provides hand sanitizer. But most of all, her work truly lives up to her name. She takes her time with each client -always on time and never rushing to get the job done. Whether I was doing art or just a solid color, I truly felt like I was a priority. For those of you who aren't familiar with Japanese hard gel, keep in mind that this is a bit different than your standard "gel". It's SO much healthier for your nails and lasts so much longer. However, appointments take a bit. At minimum, expect to be here for 90-120 minutes. I know - this seems long - but it's SO worth it for the girlies who want long lasting, strengthening gel. Don't bother with standard gel manicures you get at most salons! They'll strip your nails and leave them brittle. I've been going to Carrie for two years and my nails have never been stronger. I found Carrie through my tattoo artist (IG @inkbyaballar) back in November of 2022. I LOVE Japanese gel and manicure technique but it been so hard to find someone near me who does it and Carrie is amazing! My nails haven't been healthier. She really cares about the health of your nails and I've learned a lot from her. I was scared of the nail drill due to past experiences at nail salons and she was great walking me through everything she does but now, I'm so comfortable with it. I think the photo speaks for itself. This is after two weeks of wear! I reached out to Carrie for a wedding nail set. It was my first experience with Japanese potted gel and I really appreciated Carrie talking through and explaining the process to me. The service is well worth the price. Carrie really takes her time to properly prep the nails for application. It's a longer appointment than what you might have at a traditional salon but the results are well worth it. You know someone is good when you ask several different friends (who don't know each other) where they get their nails done and they ALL say "Carrie". I decided I needed to meet this Carrie person before my wedding LOL. I was completely new to the whole dry manicure thing and had always gone to generic nail salons for gel manicures for special events. I always was bummed at how quickly they chipped off, so having my nails for almost 2 weeks now while swimming in the ocean everyday on my honeymoon and they are still going strong?? Pretty crazy. While the cost seems like a lot up front, if you only go every 4-5 weeks versus every 2 at generic nail salons it's well worth the price. I found Carrie on Instagram and I am SO glad I decided to make an appointment with her. I had short, damaged nails from too many years of acrylics. She put some gel extensions on for me and did some great manicures (with some awesome line work and art). I've been getting my nails done by Carrie for almost a year now and her work is always superb. I get the soft gel manicures and there is so much prep work that goes into it, but they last and I constantly get compliments! Normal manicures are ruined in hours. Gel manicures chip after 2 days.
