I went in on a whim at as a walk in. I was greeted and then sat for a few before being called to the chair to get my toes done. That went well, the massage chair worked and the person doing my toes did a good job. Then, it was time to get my nails done and I went to the chair and had to sit for a few, someone else started taking my previous polish off. Once the nail tech came, she did a good job on my nails. When it was time to pay is when I got confused. She charged me extra for having "long nails", maybe it's me thinking my nails are a medium length. Then for the "deep french" was another $20 that I was unaware of until it was time to pay. Overall it was nice, however, I know next tome to ask about prices before each service. read more

I usually go to Luxia or nail garden but I wasn't near either, so I made the mistake of coming here. The vibe was off not very welcoming, and it's freezing in there! I got a pedicure and the water was cold didn't care to ask if it was a good temperature. My toe nails are clearly not the same shape (one was rounded when I asked for straight across) also didn't care to ask if I wanted them shaped/fliled. He was doing the same rubbing motions with the scrub for 15 seconds straight and it felt like sand paper not to mention he used scratching as a massage technique?? He burnt me with the hot stones , also didn't care to ask if it was a good temperature. He then proceeded to put barely warm towels on my legs, after 5-10 minutes were freezing. I had a mani/pedi -the pedi was great, no issues there. The mani just wasn't up to par -- after sitting under the fans for 15 minutes for the polish to dry, it looked bubbly with tiny little bubbles all over my nails. The girl said "oh, that's okay" like the polish was supposed to look like that. Why did the polish on my toes look so much better when it was from the same bottle? I got to my car and dented the polish on my seat belt. Literally hours later, I was still denting the polish. When I woke up the next morning, it looked the polish was made of sandpaper . Dents and gouges... I wasn't happy with it and ended up removing the polish a couple of days later. I won't return and I'll go back to the other place where the polish lasted for weeks. Very strong odors of fumes from others having acrylic nails put on. read more

Tracy did a mani/pedi for me. Looked good when I left but 2 days later the polish was coming off. I guess I should have gotten the gel polish. Also, my feet had dry peeling skin on the bottom. I never have had that problem. It seemed like their products were cheap. Why would my feet be so dry after a pedi? It's never been that way before. I have soft feet. Anyway, Tony, is pretty much the focal point of this establishment. He is attractive and speaks with the customers better. Women seem to love him. My mom and I got mani-pedis there and both of our technicians were skilled and friendly. Nikki did my nails and she was great. The place was clean and comfortable, good selection of colors as well. I'm giving it 5 stars for it's class - this is not a high-end nail "spa" or anything fancy at all. But it gets the job done without breaking the bank and that is exactly what I wanted. To comment on the other review - yes, there is a strong smell of nail-related fumes but you get used to it quickly. Word to the wise - there is a 3% surcharge for Visa/MC purchases. Worst place I have ever been. My oldest daughter just moved to Charlestown. We Asked for 2 SNS.fingernails and one gel with tips. and for my "SNS" I got 2 steps. A glob of white followed by a glob of pink (no powders). My tech cut my new tips, a week old, down to my natural nail!! One daughter showed a picture of Ombre' nails. Assured that her tech said yes but it was all 1 color All 3 of us did not get what we asked for and they charged $175 for just our nails because they thought were all were from out of town. I just had the best nail salon experience here! I haven't found a salon I loved since I lived up north years ago until now. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and Tony helped me pick out the perfect color I was looking for. I love that they have the gel polish and regular polish color grouped together so you can know what will match for your fingers and toes. Also, they have a hugeeeeee selection of polishes both gel and regular. Everyone knew each customer who walked in's name and it was seriously the best customer service ever. Have been going to Nail Fever III for years! Everyone has always been wonderful! I always get Tom! I went with my friend at 11:00 Thursday, June 27. We sat in seats 8 and 9. I was in 8. Tom did my friend and I do not know the name of the girl that did my mani-pedi! When filing my fingernails she cut my skin on my little finger! It was bleeding and she never even acknowledged that she did it! I told her it hurt! I asked her if she could paint a palm tree on my big toes! She said yes! Well!!! She painted something but I'm not sure what! Even Tom didn't know what! The next day the polish was chipping off my fingernails! It literally was like throwing $48.00 down the toilet! Here it goes so first they told me I'd wait 20 minutes which really they meant 45 minutes and sat me in three different chairs..then put a bowl of water in front of me that was freezing by the time they actually started working. Their color selection was not the greatest either. Then the girl second from the back chair starts doing polish before shaping them so I asked her if she was going to shape them and rudely tells me she did..so I end up with one side round and the other side square then rubs my hands for literally 15 seconds and tells me I'm all done. I came in to get a pedicure that lasted maybe 20 minutes and when I got the bill it was almost 30 dollars. I didn't get gel, just simple polish. Their polish dryers don't even work so when I left I messed up my toes right as I walked out the door. When I told them that the price was too high I had 5 employees come up to me asking where I found a cheaper pedicure price and that's standard and I kept reiterating that a 20 minute pedicure shouldn't be over 25 dollars and they tried arguing the matter. DO NOT GO!!! Worst nail salon experience ever!! :( I went to get my gel polish removed and to add on regular nail polish. I was charged for my gel polish to be removed, which is understandable, until the ENTIRE removal process was with the use of the electronic filing tool, no remover nor soaking. At times I actually felt a burning sensation. Much of my actual nail has been shaved off they're now thin and sensitive and when they began to grow they were so thin that they would snag upon clothing, so I have to keep cutting them until the damaged nails grow out. My nails have cuts within them where the polish is now locked into my nail. There are also white bruises present in every single nail. read more

Had the worst experience in this place over the week end. Had a "simple finger nail change" post prices stated $5.00. Because I am active duty, I had to choose color that would natural as possible so I went with a very thin French white color and very natural creame Beige. They looked nice two days later it was obvious they are use cheap products chip, chip chip and did I chip again. So I returned to have them corrected and I didn't mention the price went from $5.00 to $13.00 and I paid it. The day of correcting the cheap chiped nail color Tony, appeared to have an attitude that I was disatisfied with the Services I received and he began to address me in a tone I do not tolerate under any circumstances and to point his index finger at me to say I wasn't getting my money back I didn't want my money back I wanted my nail color corrected and all hell broke out. He attempted to polish my nails over with uneven stokes and when under the dryer my nail polish bubbled up and it was horrible I immediately asked him to just take the color off and let me get out of here. His wife I guess started shouting in their native language Vietanesse some obscenities and I began to record and take pictures of their posted prices on the board and state required licensure which by-the-way were outdated. He at this point gave me my $13.00 dollar nail change refund and I had to call 911 because he and his wife than to prevent me from leaving by standing in front of the door I continued to keep my recorder on my phone filming and began to shout and Banging on the Windows Help get me out of here!!!!! "YOU ARE HOLDING ME AGAINST MY WILL FOR NO REASON THIS CONSTITUES KIDNAPPING" so another patron began to take their side by saying I cannot take pictures and film them without thier consent which when the police alive it was a complete lie according to State of South Carolina Bottom-line. They wanted me to give them my phone to erase the incident. NEVER! You'd be better off servicing your own nails it was not worth the headache I left with. I do plan on filing a formal complaint because of the service and treatment received and more importantly, they do NOT SANITIZE THEIR PEDICURE BOWL AFTER PATRONS ARE FINISHED WITH SERVICES AND MORE IMPORTANTLY their operating licensure isn't valid. I would never in a million years RECOMMEND Nail Fever in West Ashley to anyone for services. read more
