I would not recommend this nail salon. The prices are high, the quality is inconsistent, and the customer service was disappointing. The first time I visited, I got a pedicure with gel polish and two acrylic toenails and paid around $60. On my next visit, I only got a gel polish change and acrylic on my big toe, yet I was charged around the same amount. I also had one acrylic nail break off, but I was charged for two acrylic nail replacements instead of one. The lady at the front desk told me that acrylic fill-ins and acrylic repairs are different prices which doesn't make sense... Charging $8 per acrylic toenail for fill-ins feels excessive, let alone $9 for acrylic repair when the quality does not match the price.... Both my mother and I experienced issues with our polish. Our nails looked streaky, and grown out around the cuticle area and when we returned to discuss our concerns, the employee dismissed them instead of offering a solution. We were told that nobody looks at toes that closely anyway. That response was frustrating because if customers are paying for a service, the work should look good regardless of whether someone is examining it up close. The issue wasn't taken seriously, it felt more like he was doing it reluctantly rather than genuinely trying to resolve the problem or address our concerns. Overall, I felt overcharged and dissatisfied with both the quality of the work and the customer service. Will not be back! read more

I got a nail take off for $10.00, okay that's normal. I got a full gel set for $57.00, okay fine. But they charged me $40.00 for my nail length? How is the cost of the nail length almost the same cost of the service?? That makes NO sense..I stopped going there before because of there prices. Now I'm definitely not going back!! This is a ridiculous price for anyone to pay just for ONE service..they are really overpriced for the services they provide..I wont be recommending this place to anyone, or going back. The wanted to charge me an extra $20 for glitter!! This is the second time I've been here for a pedicure. This is used to be another mail salon but the new owners really did a make over and expansion of this place. It looks amazing!! Very glamour, "breakfast at Tiffany's" cute vibe. 12 pedicure chairs to choose from that are very comfy and have a wonderful back massager in them. To help you get into the "pamper me" feeling, you can also choose from a soft drink, red or white wine or mimosa to sip while you get your tosies beautified. Prices start at $30 for the basic pedi and you can add sea salt scrub and/or paraffin wax dip for about $38. There are more deluxe add on you can do for a bit more. I've stuck with the basic and added the paraffin (I'm a sucker for the paraffin dip) and have left completely and thoroughly relaxed and loved my footsies each time. I have not gotten manicures here, as I do not get manicures ever, but the mail techs manicure seats are never empty. Always at least 3 more manicures being done vs pedicures. Which just makes me mean towards the manis are just as affordable and good as the pedicures. Quick, relaxing, affordable, great polish selection. read more

I'm in search of a new nail salon in West Ashley so I've been hopping around. Sparkle Nails is a nice salon. It is fairly new. I've passed by numerous times and noticed the "15% off all services" banner. Recently, it's changed to "10% off all services". I thought I would take my chances. It took the place of another salon. The strip plaza is a little dated and could use a face lift. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. Inside is bright. The manicure stations are in the middle and the pedicure chairs are on either wall. It has a modern theme with all the stations being white with faux fur pillows, chandeliers, and Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn canvases throughout. When I was seated for my pedicure, I was offered a beverage and an egg roll! What?!?...an egg roll?! Yes please! It was delicious. What a great added touch. They offer a variety of pedicure options. I think I got a deluxe pedicure (why not, especially when there's a discount). My tech was friendly. She took her time and perfected my polish. The owner did my acrylic fill. She was friendly. We chatted a little. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I do wish they offered more gel colors! The options were limited compared to other shops. read more

Horrible experience! I came here because I read some good reviews and I am very disappointed. Waited 30 min after making an appointment and the prices are outrageous which is saying a lot being that I am from New York. I paid $50 for a manicure with NO polish and a regular pedicure. The manicure came out sloppy and I found out at the register that a manicure with polish is the same as one without, $20. I asked if I can do polish instead and the technician started talking to her coworkers in another language and seemed to be annoyed. The man working there said I can do polish but at that point I just wanted to leave. I will 100% never come back to this place. It was a rip off. read more

They asked if I wanted a drink and told me I can get a pedicure and manicure with regular polish included I said no at first to the polish but wanted the pedicure and manicure then changed my mind and got the polish and before I could leave the salon a toenail and two fingernails got messed up and I called them each time and with no frustration or hesitation even though I felt bad for calling her over before she could start with her next client who was is the pedicure chair a woman who didn't do my manicure and pedicure came over and fixed them and asked me to be careful. My nails were in great shape already and the technician barely had to file, shape, or change anything. I do not have tips...they are my real nails! They also charge extra if you use a credit card! Stay away. I thought I'd try this brand new place for a pedicure. Walked in, no appointment, was seated immediately. The lady removes my old polish and starts cutting my nails. I feel a sharp pain and I know she's cut me. She tries to disinfect and stop the bleeding. They offer me another technician. They won't let go of my foot. No. I walked out. When the first thing you do is draw blood, I am not sticking around. If it had been something annoying but minor, like a bad polish job, I wouldn't have posted a review - I just wouldn't go back. Love the customer service and friendliness of the owners and employees, but pissed about the quality of service rendered. Typically Vivian is on point with her work but today, not so much. The soak off residue is still stuck to my skin, when asked about it she replied that if I kept washing my hands at home and add oil to the skin, it'll eventually go away. SMH. The design I shown was a simple glitter French top, and the glitter applied was messily applied with glitter particles above the French line. Not too mention, the dirtiness and unkept sanctions of the salon. While being serviced a small roach was seen crawling from beneath there island and onto the area that I was being serviced. The gel lamp is full of crud and residue from other jobs, the brushes that are used for nail art is extremely smelly and dirty. I'm not happy about today's service and utterly pissed that $125(service was $115 plus $10 tip) went down the drain. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. There are many nail salons,,,RUN FROM RUBY NAILS!!! I made an appointment for my daughter and me to have pedicutes. We were on time. However, rather than having two techs available at our appointment time, my daughter had to wait 45 minutes while the nail tech gave me the worst pedicure I've ever had...cold water, sloppy job, 30 second massage, no lotion, one, dirty barely warm towel over the front of my legs....Then, I had to wait 45 minutes while my daughter got her pedicure. If they didn't have enough techs to provide a pedicure at the appointed time, the man who answered the phone should have told me. I had gone here previously and raved about the service but something changed since then. It still looks clean and welcoming and I think that's why I'm giving them more than one star. I went in today for a regular manicure and the dipping powder. First they ignored me for a few minutes when I walked in. Didn't offer me their usual beverage, which they offered to everyone else that came in She straight into using the sander on my nails, (I've never had someone sand down my natural nails for dipping powder, maybe this is a new practice?) Dipped my nails without cleaning the excess powder off - I scrubbed my hands for a good 5 minutes and my nail beds still look like I went playing in my mothers makeup bag. She told me it would take a few days of washing my hams floor the excess to come off. Never have I had to deal with this before. If I wanted a messy manicure I'd have done it myself. She didn't bother cleaning up my cuticles our doing anything involved in a standard manicure other than excessive sanding. I can't wait to see how much I have to nurse my nails back to normal when I get these taken off in a few weeks. I'm also pretty sure the color she used isn't even what I picked out. I went to this salon with my mom for a little mother daughter date. We both work many ours on our feet, so we decided to treat ourselves to a $50 pedicure. I had self tanner on, and the nail tech was so determined to scrub it off even though I never asked for him to take it off. He used a FILE AND TOENAIL SCRUB BRUSH on my bare skin and rubbed it raw!! I didn't say anything because I was in shock about how much it hurt, and figured he knew what he was doing. I had scratches all over my feet, and a day later, they've turned into scabs. Stopped in for a walk in today and (reni, rena? i am awful with names.) Did an amazing job! I got the basic pedi for $30. She got the problem areas I told her about, was offered multiple types of drinks, and she gave a great massage. The included hot towel was great. They use single use tools which everyone should (love the sanitation.) The place is very well decorated, professional, and clean, with a wide variety of brands and polishes. It's well vented and doesn't reek of polymer and acrylic, it smells very clean. They also have really great massage chairs. Not the ones that pinch, but the ones with lots of options! This is the absolute worst gel pedicure I've ever had. My skin is painted on and parts of my nails aren't painted. No top coat was put on. There was a bubble under one coat that I had to point out 3 times for them to fix it. Not worth the money whatsoever. read more
