First came here about a two years ago when I first moved to Merrick. It was wonderful. So clean, friendly and great prices. Fast forward and I've seen the service go down. Let's begin with the massages people get while they are getting their nails done. Not everyone gets a massage which I find so annoying. Not sure how they pick what customer should get a massage. $30 for a mani pedi. My pedi today took all of 10 min. WTF! The person assigned to me was not friendly at all. Didn't ask if I wanted a spa pedi which I would've considered, water was so hot that I had to tell her to cool it, tub was filled with just water, and when we were done she just walked away with my shoes. Mani took all of 15 min. Unfortunately I also got my eyebrows done. Which the same person did. She barely did anything to them just cleaned them up a little. I had no idea what they looked like until i went to my car for a mirror. When she sat me down at the drying station she walks off, leaving my bag and phone at her station. My sneakers I had no idea where they were. I had seen the decline in service the last few months and have gone to one of the 10 other nail salons off of Merrick Ave, but I only returned bc I had a $20 gift certificate. Did I say never again already....regret giving her a tip! Left so unhappy and disappointed. DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THEY HAVE SO MANY 5 STAR REVIEWS! Sloppy work, lazy workers, and over priced! Possibly the best nail salon in the immediate area. Large and spacious but doesn't feel like a factory. They don't just cram a bunch of people in which is nice. Lots of color choices, extremely clean, and they're nice in there. It's very relaxing. Their pedicure is amazing and seems like a spa pedicure that you'd pay extra for, but it's just part of the regular package. Glad it's so close to my house. read more

I've been to many other places for nail services but Nail House is by far the best. I use to go when they first opened some years ago and was very happy but I moved to Levittown and tried many places closer. Definitely not a good idea. I've been to a lot of places but I think this place is best. The staff is so friendly and they have the best service. They're also really consistent. For example, other places kind of skimp out on service on your pedi if it's too busy. Especially if you get the cheapest pedi. But this place gives the full service all the time. Great salon. I had a very hard time finding a place I liked. I'm very particular about my nails and my cuticles. I found Nail House & Spa on Yelp and based on the reviews gave them a try. Kelly did my mani & spa pedi. (Fyi spa pedi is perfect for tired feet, calous removal and a mini foot massage), She was AWESOME! the experience was great as well. The manager/owner greets you when you come, they give you a heat pack for your back, they offer you a massage while you get your nails done. Overall A rating. Nail House and Spa is my only choice locally. Have been going there since it opened. Nicole knows almost every regular customer by name. They are clean, courteous and very accommodating. Tons of colors to choose from. Kelly does my permanent gel and has the most creative design ideas. They are also great with kids! And you almost always get a nice shoulder massage with your manicure! I've been to a couple of nail salons in my area and I can say I've never been truly satisfied or happy with the results which is crazy to me because I always get a basic gel manicure and pedicure. I came to nail house and spa and was warmly welcomed. Sarah who did my gel pedicure and powder gel manicure was amazing. She took her time, was very thorough and gentle. You can tell she wanted to deliver the best results. She gave me suggestions as it was my first time doing powder gel. She even let me know the pros and cons and I appreciated that. Positive: -The salon is very clean and spacious. -It is beautifully decorated and there is a large parking lot. -They have a wide assortment of colors. Negative: -I got a gel manicure and it was $27 In North Merrick down Merrick Ave there are over 7 nail salons, all charging $20 for gel. -I only had the manicure for 5 days and 3 gel nails chipped. I have NEVER had a gel manicure chip like a regular manicure. Gel is supposed to last 2 weeks. -Staff wasn't rude but they weren't friendly. I came here because my regular nail salon disappointed me my last visit. I figured I'd give this one a try since it's within walking distance from me. Jackie, the nail tech, was extremely meticulous and took her time, resulting in, if not THE BEST, close to the best powder gel manicure I've ever got (and trust me I've had many). The price was the same as my other salon, so no complaints there. They're clean, friendly and super efficient. If you haven't been there yet and you're in the area, give them a try. I decided to leave this review because I don't usually go to places for a service, pay a lot of money, and have the people whose job it is to make you feel comfortable, wind up making you thoroughly uncomfortable. Everyone at the salon is very kind except the nail technicians who do the gel manicures. I can only speak for myself, but I have gone for about two months to this salon for a permanent French gel manicure, and each time I get another person who isn't the nicest. Most recently I'd been seeing Stella. She makes my hands feel very sore, and doesn't thank me or ever really acknowledge my presence? It's very unprofessional and confusing since everyone else is so sweet. I always come in, use my manners, greet with a smile and be generally very friendly. I always try to make their job easier, as I'm sure they don't have the easiest job. I pay the right amount each time and leave double the amount of tip necessary. The manicure that I request isn't a cheap style, and I do pay a lot of money when I go. Each time I never get a hi, or a how are you, or any kind of smile or nice word of acknowledgment from the people doing my nails. My hands get tossed around a lot and my nails are filed without any regard for my cuticles, which end up stinging. When it's time for me to leave they tell me when I need to pay, I pay my sum, and then I give them a tip and say thank you. They do not even acknowledge anything. No smile or "have a nice day."They full on just walk away. I have never had this bad of an experience anywhere else. read more

Came back twice more and tried out another tech. I wish I would've took a picture of my gel mani. June was very attentive and aware to what she was doing with both the gel mani and pedi. She didn't cut corners or try to rush. Her nail painting and shaping are on point. I asked her to take the gloves off during the massage and she had no issues with it. One of my close girlfriends lives in Merrick and she took me to this nail salon for manicure and pedicure. It was one of the best manicure and pedicure that I have received so far. I've been trying to find a new nail salon for myself and I think I've found it here! I went in today(a busy Saturday), there was a wait but only about 15minutes which I didn't mind at all. I got a gel manicure with June. During my manicure a lady came over and massaged me for a good 5-10minutes. That's something I've never experienced at any other place, it's usually for a few minutes while you dry. Loved it! My nails came out beautifully and June gave me a nice hand massage with vitamin E oil and warm lotion. The atmosphere was also what caught my eye with this place. It's very clean, spacious and modern. Everything looked new. The people getting pedicures looked so comfortable and relaxed, made me look forward to one next time I'm in. Here in NY visiting a friend, and we decided to stop by and get our nails done. This salon is incredibly clean and very spacious! The two young girls working the front desk were very helpful and spoke perfect English so that's always a plus. Although the salon was seemingly very busy, the staff had a smooth system going, and were very accommodating. Me and my friend were sat right next to each other within about 3 minutes of walking in. I got a UV Fill In and the Pomegranate Spa Pedicure, and.....my goodness! My nail technician did an amazing job for both. The spa pedicures are so nice, they include massage and hot stone, as well as callus removal. And for my UV fill in, I also got a complimentary service massage. All in all, this place is great! Not a happy customer, sorry! I usually get my nails done across the street at Unique nails but I got engaged and my nails looked like poo so I wanted to get them done to show off the ring (obvs) on a Sunday. Unfortunately unique was not opened so I walked into Nail house. This place is like a factory. Definitely well run as far as having plenty of employees walking around, however, everything was done on speed. I always get gel powder now, it's better for your nails, lasts a bit longer, etc. Typically when I get my manicure done at Unique it takes a decent amount of time because after they strip your nails of whatever you had on it, they carefully file your nails down, clean them up, makes sure they're even, etc. the girl I had at nail spa literally did my powder mani in 35 minutes. I knew something wasn't going to be good. Besides the fact that she kept hitting into the wet nails and messing them up, she would quickly fix them and keep going. She never leveled my nails out so I have one side of the nail that's higher than the other. Then at the end they crack this weird oil open and put it on your nails. No idea what it was but let me tell you, no exaggeration, my fingers themselves KILLED for 2 days after. Maybe I had a reaction to it? I don't know but it looked WACK. It was this small bead thing that had oil in it. Whatever it was, no bueno. So now here I am, 1.5 weeks after my mani and already missing two nails of polish and cracked other fingers. I paid $35!!! That would NEVER happen at Unique nails (shoutout to Jason!). I attached some pics. I don't like writing reviews like this but it was fairly necessary!!! read more

I've been going here since they opened a few years ago and each time I feel they are getting worse and worse. For a $10 manicure I shouldn't have to sit in my car and refile my nails or take the excess nail polish off. I went yesterday and it's going to be my last. The owner did my nails and she didn't even pay attention to me. She cut my nails on my right hand and not my left. Yet she didn't ask me if I wanted them cut so now my nail are really short. While she was doing the polish I noticed she had some polish on my skin, I assumed she was going to take it off but no she just said all done and moved onto the next person. Now I understand it was busy in there but clearly there's polish all over my nails. I was going to say something to the front desk woman once I was done drying but she was nowhere to be found. Since this place opened I have been going- the staff is so nice and friendly and they remembered my name when I came in a second time! I left my diamond engagement ring and wedding band there for hours and when I discovered it was missing on my hand- I called and they had it for me. They are honest and caring! I have had manicures and pedicures and have been over the top happy- they do an excellent job and they do it with quality products. I look forward to my next manicure! read more

And it wasn't a 2 minute manicure. Our pedicures were great, they even use a hot rock and they use warm lotion for the massage- all for a regular pedicure. Massages during manicures and drying were a huge plus- they were amazing. My other huge plus is everything is so clean- I watched them Clorox the tubs. Tools were clean too. Now it is $30 for a mani and pedi but it is totally worth it. We will be back! read more
