I spent 3 hours at this nail salon JUST to get short, plain nails and NOT the design i wanted. the shape is all wrong, and i was charged $45 for them. they overlapped the nail polish, not filed correctly, and overall seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. my mother even complained and she said to her "it takes 2-3 hours to do nails. it doesn't take that long at all for short nails- especially not the design i wanted. this was absurd, and i was so patient but at the end of the day it's managements fault for letting her work when they knew she wasn't ready to work by herself. i'm not against people learning how to do nails or practicing, but i'm saying don't let someone do it by themselves if they're not ready yet and still need more training. do not recommend going here as management didn't even do anything about the situation. read more

I've tried multiple nail salons for Dip Manicures around Tampa and I always come back to Nail Image. Tracy and Quin are both AMAZING and so meticulous about their service. They each make sure to only deliver perfection. Tracy is so sweet to talk to and let's you know how much she appreciates you. She gives the BEST hand massages! She won't judge if you're a cuticle-biter like me and makes sure yours happy with the style and color you chose every step of the way. I have thin and brittle nails that break easily and she makes sure my nails are looking even, and will extend a nail with a tip if need be! She is quick too! In and out in about 35 minutes. Quin is also amazing! She is quiet and so detail oriented. She takes a bit longer but the work she does will last you well over 2 weeks! Other nail salons pmanicures have cracked or chipped and I i have never once had an issue with her. She will help you pick a color or pattern that will match your personality or skin tone! She is truly amazing. If I have one thing to comment on, its just that I wish they had more dip colors to choose from! I am picky about which nail salon I go to so it's been awhile since I had gotten a pedicure or manicure! Since I was going to a few special events, I decided to just go! I left work for an hour and got a gel mani and a pedi. I was quite pleased with my experience! I was also referred here by a friend. I paid $50 for a premium pedi and a gel mani (plus tip) which is cheaper than I've gotten in the past! There was a lot of people but it didn't take long for me to get seen. Pedi: the tech did a great job with the pedicure. It was thorough and relaxing. I have no complaints. I didn't opt for the upgraded pedi that comes with a beverage since I don't drink alcohol but I did see a lot of people who did and they all looked pleased. Mani: I am picky with which type of gel polish I get. I prefer OPI gel since they last longer on my nails and they have a large variety of OPI gel here! I picked a dark purple (with one silver glitter) that matched my toes. The manicure was quick and looked great. They have a large display board of colors which I like because it's hard for me to pick from the wall. They also offer you water or soda when you're there. This salon does get packed but they work quick. Usually I am wary of going to new salons since you're never sure of the atmosphere (i.e. friendliness of the staff). But just observing them, they greet everyone that comes through the door and they try to make small talk to make you feel at ease. Although some of the techs look super concentrated on their work. I went back after 3 weeks (yes I made the mani stretch out lol). Initially, just to get the gel taken off ($5) but I opted to get a gel polish change ($20). I picked a nice burgundy color with one gold nail. I also tried the matte top coat for the first time and I really like it! I brought my friend with me this time and she enjoyed her pedi a lot! I am not a big fan of pedicures because I have sensitive feet, but lord knows I needed one to clean up my toenails. My friend suggested Nail Image because she had been there before and was happy with her experience. We stopped by on a Saturday night around 5pm and were given spots almost immediately. While the salon was crowded, they were very well staffed. Everyone was very friendly and did not up-sell anything. I chose the $25 deluxe pedi which including a hot towel treatment and some hefty callus removal. I don't think I needed the callus removal and I probably should have just got the $20 base pedi because i ended up with a super long scratch on the bottom of my foot that hurts like hell. I do not consider this to be their fault. If you have softer skin on your feet, let them know. The gentleman who worked on my feet was super friendly and nice! He did an excellent job making my toes look so much better and did not rush despite the amount of people being helped or waiting. Everything was very clean and I feel that the prices are very good. I'd say no bc it's an older building and it's outdated decor and equipment. Is the location kinda hood and less than desirable? Yes. But is it clean? Yes, just bc it's old doesn't mean it isn't clean. Are the prices reasonable and affordable? Yes. The customer service good? Oh yes, I would even say it's the best customer service I've seen from this industry, and the most friendly women I've come across in this industry yet. My pedicure lady (surprisingly also calling herself Kelly) was SUPER friendly chatting with me about my holiday plans, her plans, trips she's taken in the past, talking about the weather... she was very warm and very gentle on my feet (sometimes they are so rough and don't give a flying fancy). And when I first walked in and asked the lady about eyelash services and if she could explain the whole process to me, she was super helpful and articulate in explaining everything and answering all my questions. Got unlucky and had a really inexperienced girl...asked for almond shape but she insisted on coffin shape. I had showed her a picture, but she made them really short and then filed them REALLY short. Turned out looking like triangle gremlin nails...I told her to redo them because they were not cute at all or what I wanted. When she was sanding them down she was hurting me really bad. She did a lot better and actually did the almond shape I wanted... but it took 2 HOURS. My friend I went with got her mani AND pedi done AND got done way before me. And the total? $50 with an $8 tip. I told them to give me the breakdown because I've never paid that much here. Apparently it's a base of $35 for the dip nails, then $5 because they're "long", $5 because they're "almond shape" (???), $5 because there's a "plastic tip" they put in. I honestly don't know why they charged for the shape and tip when the most I've ever spent here was $45. You'd think they would cut me some slack for messing up and making me sit there for 2 hours. Honestly the whole experience was just super annoying and NOT worth almost $60. I've had better nails done at much nicer, cleaner, faster, and more higher quality places for cheaper. I had high hopes coming here, but was thoroughly disappointed. I was a walk-in on a Saturday, arriving at 11:40. I was asked to pick out a color, and I advised I had my own color, so I was advised to sit in chair 7. I felt positive about the experience because I was seated immediately, and the number 7 is the number of completion. I had my own colors, my own design, etc. The guy at this station had what appeared to be blisters on some of his fingers, which should have been a red flag to ask for a different tech. I wanted a gel top coat over my nails. I got it, but one of the nails bubbled up under the UV light. He had to completely redo that one nail. In the process of doing my nails, a lady came in and sat at station 8. The same said lady got her fill-in and a spa pedicure, and was done in the same time it took to do my fill-in. I left, got dressed for the wedding I had to attend, and here I am less than 24 hours later getting my nails redone because they're cracked and peeling. $29, 1 hr 35 minutes down the drain. I'm here Sunday morning at 11 (opening time) and although there are techs not working on clients, I'm forced to wait for the same guy to do my nails, because in their words, "He's on the way, he fix it for you." I have never experienced the degree of unprofessionalism like I have at this nail salon. I got a set of acrylic nails here and my experience was beyond awful. After just two days of receiving my manicure, one of the nails broke, so I returned to the salon so that they could fix it. I was there for over an hour to fix one nail. The employees are extremely slow and there is always a long wait whether you make an appointment or not. After I was finished, I was getting ready to leave when they actually tried to charge me for fixing a nail that broke just days after getting them done. I was not used to this policy, as at most nail salons, they would fix it for free. The extremely rude and unprofessional lady working the front desk proceeded to blame me for the misunderstanding because I apparently should have told her on the phone which employee did my nails in the first place. I had no idea that their policy is that the same person must fix the nail that did them in the first place. This policy should've been made clear to me before I came in, but yet I proceeded to get blamed. The lady working the front desk then asked me leave and muttered under her breathe to not come back as I was exiting. She then proceeded to call my phone after I left, not once, but TWICE! When she called, she very rudely told me not to come back over $5 that I shouldn't have even been charged in the first place!!! I was already not planning on coming back due to the complete lack of professionalism, the extremely long waits, and the fact that they do not do a goo job at all. The way they treat customers is completely unacceptable and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Do not go here. The lady soaked my hands in a bowl of acetone for 20 minutes. She didn't wrap them in a cotton pad or anything, just dunked them in acetone. My skin is still peeling. She filed my nails crooked. On some of my nails one side is round and the other is square. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went for a gel manicure and regular pedicure, let's start with the pedicure. They don't use bowl liners at this salon! She barely removed the minimal callus I have on my heels. During the pedicure a roach crawled up the side of my chair and she knocked it away with a nail file. Moving on to my manicure, the entire job was very sloppy and polish was stuck all over my hands, and the sides of my nails were done very poorly.
