My nail tech (Genesis) was friendly and offered me the keychain of colors to choose from. I picked a particular color and she couldn't find it. So I picked a second color. Same thing. I am not sure if they didn't have the actual colors or if the nail polishes perhaps needed to be better organized. She offered me a similar color to my first choice and I proceeded to get my mani. She took her time and did a good job. It's now been 1 week and so far the polish has not chipped. Yesterday I made an Gel pedicure appointment for 12:30pm with a nail tech (her name was not provided to me) and she was not there upon my arrival. The owner greeted me and apologized and asked me to return in 30 minutes and she would have another technician attend to me. I was slightly annoyed because I had other appointments that now needed to be pushed back but I appreciated her effort to accommodate me. My technician was Samantha and she was great. She was friendly and professional and did a nice job on my pedicure. I would book an appointment with her again. As for the place, it's clean and has a cute set up. Staff is nice. Their prices are a bit expensive considering the neighborhood but they do offer 10% Monday through Wednesday. I was happy I got the discount considering my appointment was delayed. Tai had called to say she'd be 15 minutes late (my mom's appt was at 315), so Lilly started her pedicure. So we both started our pedicures at the same time. While I was half way done with my pedicure my mom still hadn't even had a clear coat applied because Lilly would stop every couple minutes or so to send a text or answer a phone call. So she ended up spending more than an hour on just a pedicure. Tai didn't come back till almost 430, more than an hour late for her scheduled appt. But while I was getting my mani my mother again had to wait while Tai ate. She ended up leaving with a cut on her finger and one toe. She loved the color but said she would not come back, she didn't feel like her time was valued. She said they spent more time socializing than actually doing her nails. Erica on the other hand was very efficient and took her time to make sure my nails were perfect. Only downside is my nails did chip within about 4 days of getting them done. I made an appointment for my mom and I for 4:45 pm. We got there 30 mins earlier because I called the reservation line letting them know I needed to take a prior set off, which they told me to come earlier. We arrived at 4:15 & i didn't start until around 5:20/30. The girl doing my nails had a slight attitude but she did express she wasn't able to take a break or have lunch, so I'm extremely understanding. Unfortunately, all those factors affected her work. Her removing my nails and completing my new set took over 3 hours. I've been doing my nails for over a decade and I've never been to a place that took that long, ever! The work was nice (which she had another person finish towards the end) but the time, constant complaining, and waiting just couldn't out weigh the over all. I also did a pedicure which was below sub par because it is a SINK. There are no jets, no bubbles and my feet were rinsed with a disposable cup. At that point I was annoyed and just wanted to leave. My toe nails were not cut evenly and that made the already stressful experience worse. I did gel polish, and it looks just horrible. Not to mention the price tag was not worth it. It's less than a month later, I have 1 broken nail and the rest are slowly detaching from the acrylic. I will not be back.
