Horrible. I don't know how they're still in business. I much have gotten a trainee. A 1 hour service too 3. And all pealed off the next day.

Where do I start? I had an appointment, I was excited because I wanted a new nail location and this seemed like it would be perfect. Wrong! I made an appointment for my mom and I for 4:45 pm. We got there 30 mins earlier because I called the reservation line letting them know I needed to take a prior set off, which they told me to come earlier. We arrived at 4:15 & i didn't start until around 5:20/30. The girl doing my nails had a slight attitude but she did express she wasn't able to take a break or have lunch, so I'm extremely understanding. Unfortunately, all those factors affected her work. Her removing my nails and completing my new set took over 3 hours. I've been doing my nails for over a decade and I've never been to a place that took that long, ever! The work was nice (which she had another person finish towards the end) but the time, constant complaining, and waiting just couldn't out weigh the over all. I also did a pedicure which was below sub par because it is a SINK. There are no jets, no bubbles and my feet were rinsed with a disposable cup. At that point I was annoyed and just wanted to leave. My toe nails were not cut evenly and that made the already stressful experience worse. I did gel polish, and it looks just horrible. Not to mention the price tag was not worth it. It's less than a month later, I have 1 broken nail and the rest are slowly detaching from the acrylic. I will not be back. read more

My usual nail spot was booked solid and I wanted to pamper myself for my birthday so, I headed to Instagram and voila! The Nail Bar sparked my interest. I called the store and easily made an appointment. Please keep in mind, you must leave a $20 deposit to confirm your appointment, the deposit will be applied toward your service. I made an appointment for 5pm and arrived around 4:40pm. Parking is a little hard, the street signs were confusing but nonetheless once found, you can easily pay meters via an app. The store has no awning or storefront so I passed by it twice, they should really work on that. Visibility (aside from social media) is very important I would think for any business. Upon walking into the nail salon, I was surprised that it was really a nail bar! lol seriously, there was a bar where customers sit on one side and the technicians are on the other side doing their nails. There are also alcohol props around like tequila bottles and martini glasses filled with nail tools. Customers are pampered and primped all while sipping on wine out of clean, pristine stemless wine glasses - oh we fancy! The decor is cute but not very beautiful. It was somewhat dimly lit and the walls and furniture were all in dark colors, I would expect something a little more bright to liven up the room since it is a nail salon - but then again, are any bars bright and sparkly... not really lol, so the Nail Bar holds true to its name. For my service I had a gel manicure with design and a regular pedicure. The highlights: Pros: - Great selection of 'Kiara Sky' brand gel colors. I wish they had more OPI but the offerings were good. - Highly sanitary including disposable liners for pedicure tubs. - Once you make an appointment, they will send out reminders as well as any updates/changes via texts. - Niki Acosta did both of my services. She was truly amazing! Not only was she kind, personable, she did a wonderful job. The pedicure was done to perfection from the cutting, filing, and even foot massage. I felt great afterwards. But the magic was really in my gel manicure. I had wanted to do a pink/neutral color with caviar nail design on 2 fingers. The salon was out of the caviar beads and Niki suggested I do a "treasure nail" which includes rhinestones. I'm VERY much a plain Jane. Niki suggested I do a full nail but I was hesitant. I told her it was my birthday and I want something sparkly but simple. She gave me a pep talk about celebrating yourself, especially on your birthday. It sounds weird but it was really sweet and thoughtful. It didn't seem like she was in it for the money, but more so to ensure I had a good experience and design. I decided to go along with her suggestion. I'm so glad I did because it came out beautifully! 2 weeks later and i'm still getting compliments. The rhinestones have fallen off little by little which is expected but the manicure itself still looks great. As the night went on, I learned about Niki's talent and aspirations as a nail tech, she's very dedicated to her craft and it shows in her work. Cons: - I had an appointment for 5pm but was not seen until about 5:45pm. I'm grateful that the Niki apologized but that is just too long of a wait. As I waited to be served, no one offered me a swatch to look at the polish colors or even a magazine. I wasn't even offered a drink until I sat in the pedicure seat. I think when you have this type of business, it's not only about the service, the customer is also looking for a good and unique experience. I did not receive that initially. - The nail polish colors are behind the "bar". I typically come to a nail salon about 15 minutes in advance to pick my color. That way I'm not wasting the technician's time being indecisive and trying out a bunch of colors. To my dismay, the polish is behind the bar. The swatch of sample colors only provided a small portion of their vast collection on the wall. As a result, I sat in the pedicure chair trying to figure out which color I wanted. The same thing happened at the bar; its time consuming especially when you're the last customer for the night. Overall, I'm pleased. In total, I paid about $70 for all the noted services. I found this salon online and loved it from the photos. I read reviews that were encouraging and decided to try it. I booked an appointment Saturday at 6pm for a couple's mani-pedi for my husband and myself. It was also my actual birthday so I was in a great mood. When I arrived the salon looked mostly as I saw in the photos but was a little smaller than I thought. I gave a woman my name and she had us sit down and told us who would be working with us. My husband and I noticed that there was nowhere to put our coats during the appointment. After about 15 minutes waiting I was asked to pick my colors. The salon did not have a color board with options just whatever was on the shelf but when selecting gel colors all the bottles looked the same and we had to go through each one to find the pink I asked for. Once I did that a lady took me to start my pedicure but I had to maneuver around another person working on someone's toes, as she was sitting in the walk space because the salon is that small. I sat down and put my feet in the basin which was about five inches deep with NO JETS! I've never been to a salon that doesn't have sinks for pedicures with the jets for massage. The water barely covered my feet. Bad enough the seats didn't massage but the tub either? I said to myself i was going to make the best of it because we're here and it's my birthday. I have 3 sons and have not gone anywhere the ENTIRE pandemic. This was my first experience out. I said this to myself because after 30 minutes of a pedicure, my husband was still across the salon waiting to be started. My appointment was at 6, we arrived at 5:58 and now its about 6:45...still by myself. We decided that after I finished my pedicure we would leave because it was late and if we stayed Lord knows when we would've finished. The lady doing my pedicure was very sweet and did a nice job filing my toes but didn't speak English very well so I spoke to the woman next to us who was also working with someone. I told her we were canceling the rest of the services and would only finish my pedicure because my husband still had not started his service. She gave her client an annoyed look before hopping on her phone and calling other people to come in because "she had a cancelation." She then walked over to another girl working in the salon and said something to her, which my husband later text me that they were talking rudely about me. When she came back to her seat she didn't say a word to me. It was when she started talking about me right in front my face to her client that I asked if there was an issue. She said i canceled on a busy day so she was calling other clients. I said I requested a couple's appointment but my husband was not receiving services yet, there was nothing "couple's" about this appointment and it was getting late. I had an infant to get home to. She proceeded to give me attitude so I thanked the lady for doing my pedicure and stopped her mid pedi even though she had not painted my toes yet. I was done with this place! I said I just wanted to pay for the pedicure and leave despite not receiving the full service. I was then charged extra $15 because they used some gel to help scrub my heels (not mentioned when I booked). The convo got worse and more intense than I'll get into but they blamed me for canceling, said I arrived 10 minutes late so that's why they started late and never apologized for anything. She asked "how long did you think it would take?" I've never been so disrespected as a paying customer...literally! Their website says they give discounts on birthdays but no one mentioned this at all. I asked my husband to just pay them the $60 for the BS pedicure I got so I could leave. I was beyond upset. Never cursed or raised my voice which is more than I can say about the two women that were rude to me. I called back the guy that booked my appointment to tell him about my experience and he was professional enough to apologize for my experience and issued us a full refund. NEVER AGAIN! read more

So I go in and my nail tech that they set my appointment with was late. Didn't apologized. Just was late. Her name was Denise but they call her Olivia. She comes in late and complains about her allergies. So as a woman, I try to be understanding being that she is pregnant and I have two kids of my own and I tried to be patient. So as I'm getting my nails done she is talking to me about another co worker. Making comments about her and has an attitude. I was annoyed because as co workers you shouldn't be talking about your coworkers that way. So anyway. She's doing my nails and I'm appreciating that she's taking her time to shape and file them. Cool. So now I wanted rhinestones which were $20 A NAIL. She puts the rhinestones on. And it isn't the color I showed her in the photo. And I'm like wow now I am stuck with these gems because "you don't have" the color I asked for. If you didn't you should've not put the rhinestones on my nails!! If I'm paying $20 A NAIL I want what I asked for. So in the end I'm looking at my nails and I hate them. The acrylic she put didn't even reach my cuticles so when I'm walking out I looked like I needed a fill in instantly. Mind you I been in the salon Since 10:15 AM and it's now 1:00 so I don't feel like staying any longer. I'm trying my best to love my nails and I'm just annoyed. So now Olivia is told to do my feet. I usually do not write bad reviews on places trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but I had to be honest about this place for anyone like me looking for a new place. The staff was very unprofessional and the Gel Mani and Regular pedicure i got immediately started peeling off the next day. I would have taken pictures but it's completely gone now after a week. I have been looking for a new nail salon and since i was going to be in the area that day I decided to make a 1pm appt. The place looked new and cool but I honestly should have passed. The workers were so unprofessional. They were bickering and loudly argueing with each other the entire time about who will be checking people out and who will be taking personal time. The woman scheduled to do my nails even asked her co workers if she would like to do my nails, even though neither of them were doing anything (there was only one other person getting their nails done at the time by someone else) and the coworker just gave a resounding NO. I honestly just wanted a peaceful day to myself so I ended up putting on my headphones and shutting them out. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I had originally seen the nails on yelp and went here hoping they would be able to do a simple marble or line design But when I inquired the woman doing my nails completely shut it down and said it was too difficult and it could only be done on acrylic nails....(I usualy do my own gel nails at home and had just seen a 1 min. tutuorial on youtube on how to do this and it was very basic) not wanting them to ruin my nails and be disappointed i just stuck with the most basic color and left it at that. The gel manicure was fine. She seemed to pay attention greatly to detail. Although the UV lamp was very strong and burned my nails and hands at times.That was the first time that has ever happened to me. The pedicure was very basic and rushed (no surprise there because they were complaining about leaving the entire time...even though i had a regular middle of the day appt. at 1pm.) , no massage, no bubbles in the foot soak, the water was more cold than warm, and she didnt even put lotion on my feet. BEWARE.... I had an appointment on June 20, 2020 at 10am. I arrived about 9:45 and waited about 25 minutes for my technician Rhina De La Cruz to arrive. I didnt mind her being late because I had a good book and was asked by a technician who was at the salon to wait in my car which was parked right outside. I got a gel manicure ($30), pedicure ($30) and my eyebrows waxed ($12). Rhina did a good job on my manicure and pedicure and a reasonable job on my eyebrows. Overall I was satisfied with my service but when it was time to pay Rhina charged my $80. This seemed a bit steep but it was my first time at the salon and there was no visible price list. I called the next day to confirm the price of each service and I was told the prices above which total $72. I explained to the woman on 6/21/20 when I called the services I received and what I was charged and she said that she would call me back and issue me a credit. She never called me back. I'm okay with paying for services but I hate being cheated and Rhina clearly padded her tip. I hope that the other technicians at the Nail Bar don't also charge arbitrary prices. This place was amazinggggg! Michelle is the best. My friend and I went as a girls day and Michelle did my friends nails. My nail lady was chill but Michelle was great. So after days of trying to get an appointment I finally get one. I work in the service business and I try not to leave negative reviews because i know how crappy it makes you feel after receiving one. I read some reviews about the salon ( which said they were great) just to familiarize myself with it. When I walked in the place was nice and neat, the table where the nail tech is station looks like a bar table (hence the name). My nail tech asked me what I was there for, offered me a seat and asked if I wanted something to drink. I didn't like that there weren't many options for the gel. Every salon I've ever been to use perfect match and cnd shellac as well as some sort of "mood" color changing gel. They only offered the cnd shellac, with the option of using an O.P.I polish with a gel top coat. Basically their polish selection was VERY limited. I already had a gel polish on my nails from a precious service at another store so the nail tech had to remove it. Unfortunately it was a glitter gel and she had a very difficult time removing it. She filed, soaked and buffed them to remove it and it still did not completely come off. I've been treating my nails for the last couple of months to help harden them and I felt as though all of my hard work was for nothing because she filed it so much. This eventually changed my mind on the color I picked because I didn't want to put my nails through that again. I'm not sure if my nail tech was still relatively new, but she kept looking at what the other nail tech was doing and asking questions (I don't mind because everyone is new at one point) but, I didn't really feel welcomed, my nail tech didn't really speak to me. She would say a couple of things but nothing major. I understand it's a nail salon and clients build relationships with their nail techs (sometimes they're friends outside of work) but for a new person I felt as though some things discussed with the other tech, should have been filtered. There's no reason why a client should know that you don't get along with another nail tech and that people at your salon steal from one another. You also shouldn't allow your guest to answer the store phone for you OR get mad when you have to walk to the counter to make an appointment or not. I'm not very happy with my nails. They're not all shaped evenly, some are longer than others, and the nail polish wasn't spread out evenly. When you make an appointment you have to leave a $20 deposit, which you lose if you cancel. During my check out I wasn't asked if I had one, my nail tech told me the total and I thought to myself so am I paying that plus my deposit... I told her about the deposit and she had a hard time locating it voicing her frustration of how unorganized her store was, the other nail tech said that i probably wasn't charge but I definitely was because it was on my statements. She located it and checked me out. When I showed my partner my nails he thought I painted them myself and told me that I missed a couple of spots which made me feel a little bad and made me start really analyzing them. (For him to notice that I'm missing spots on my nails and ask if I painted them myself is a huge thing) However i did love my nail color, though I wish the service were a little better. There's a sign that's hidden behind the register that says if you're not happy with your service tell the nail tech before you pay so they can fix it but I felt bad because there was another woman waiting to be serviced. I work in a business where you provide services so I know the stress it can put on you. I just felt she should've been a little more observant and made sure I was even on both hands. I'm glad I tried the salon I just don't ever see myself coming here again unless it's like a last resort. read more

I've been a patron of the nail bar for over a year. I've always been satisfied with the end product which is why I kept going back despite the poor customer service. One of the factors I liked was that you have to make an appointment. To me that means when I show up for my appointment the tech should be ready. I also understand appointments run over but there's no reason why a customer should wait more than 30 mins to be serviced. This has happened at every one of my appointments where the tech is never ready for me. The last straw was Sunday. I made an appointment and received a confirmation for 1pm. I show up for the appointment and there's a customer with the nail tech. Ok no biggie given that I'm getting a soak also. However, it wasn't until abt 2:30 that the tech finished with the customer. It does not take an hour and half to soak off nails that's been on for over a month. The worst part is other than the offer for a drink, which I declined, in the beginning, no one said anything to me during the wait. I did not get an apology or offer to reschedule. At the least I should have been asked if I wanted to wait. In my business, we don't double book and we offer apologies when clients have to wait past their appointed time. After waiting for the tech to take pictures of her work I asked that she removed the foil and I paid and left. Even then there was no acknowledgement of the wasted time. And it's for this reason why I am no longer a customer nor do I feel comfortable recommending anyone to this particular location. read more

This establishment looks like it will be a cool experience: it appears to have a bar at which the customers sit, while the nail techs do manicures from behind the bar. I wasn't sure what else the salon offered, so I stopped in to check it out. As we know, walk-ins are a standard in the nail salon business. The salon had just opened at 10:00 a.m., and It was 10:10. There was one employee at the appointment book, and two people inside, sitting in the waiting area, texting. I assumed they were customers. I asked if I could get a manicure. The woman at the front said, "Oh, we mostly go by appointment." Then the other two people piped up, "Yeah, we're all booked today," and things of that nature. As they sat there. Not working. While texting. The first woman then told me, "You can take our card and call for an appointment." No one offered to actually make me an appointment WHILE I WAS STANDING THERE. All they had to do was act like they cared and say that their first appointments were about to arrive, and they had an appointment tomorrow, or over the weekend, or really ANYTHING that made it seem as thought they might possibly be interested in gaining a new customer, but none of that happened. I walked out, walked down the street to one of the FOUR OTHER salons in the neighborhood, and got my manicure done. These people have successfully avoided getting new business, and I will never try to go back. Their card went right into my recycling bin, never to be seen again. What a shame. read more

I made my $20 deposit because I was a new customer. I got a text confirmation that my appt would be with Quinally Gomez for a gel fill. Then I got a text that it would be with Denise Richards. I drive to the shop and got to my appt on time. I walk in and was greeted by someone (name unknown) and was told that my nail tech was "running late" and if that was ok. I said ok. I mean what else am I gonna say. I'm not gonna fuss, so I sat down and waited. There were only two nail techs there, including the one that greeted me. They were doing pedicures. There were also three kids there (assuming with one of the techs). Ok, now I've never been to a nail salon where I've made an appt and had to wait, let alone told that the nail tech was running late. So I'm waiting and waiting (patiently) and then one of the techs gets a call on her cell phone while she's doing a pedicure and one of her kids answers. About 20 min. later, the nail tech that greeted me comes over and says that she's sorry but the nail tech that was going to do my nails has to leave because she has an emergency (something about her husband is in the hospital). LEAVE?! So wait the nail tech has been here all this time? I thought she was running late? When you tell me someone is running late, I presume they are not here. But, no, she was there but doing a pedicure! Really?! So why not say that?! Anyway, I was told basically that i could reschedule because there was no one else that could take me. I just looked at her and said no that's fine. I got my $20 refunded and walked out. Why would I want to reschedule?! Now I understand that emergencies happen and situations that are out of our control arise, but I should have had to wait when I had an appt and then there was no one else that could take me?! I was trying to give this establishment a chance and go to a nail salon closer to home, but looks like they didn't even work hard enough to gain a customer. read more
