First time here today and I won't be going back. I booked an appointment with Kiki specifically because I had heard great things about her work. When I arrived I waited 30 minutes even though I had a set appointment AND I did not get Kiki as my nail tech. I came here to redo my gel manicure I had got done somewhere else and was not pleased with, I wish I had kept those nails. Both my hands are completely different shapes and lengths, when I brought it to my nail techs attention he just glanced and continued not listening to my concerns. My nails are bumpy, lumpy you name it. I am bleeding underneath one of my nails and I've already had 2 of my nails chip (again I got my nails done TODAY). I was hoping to love this place as I am looking for a new salon that delivers on quality service and customer care. However, this isn't the one. I will now be going to another salon to fix this so called repair. read more

had a disappointing experience. I came here for the first time to get a regular gel manicure and pedicure. The manicurist, Tina, proceeds to tell me to do powder gel instead, that it's the same thing as a gel manicure but just makes the nails stronger. I asked for the price difference and she said it's the same price. Powder "gel" is a completely different process than gel and makes your nails look like fat bubbles. The manicure was horrible, the color was not the same and my nails were so thick it looks like something is wrong. she looks me straight in the face and says it looks the exact same as gel polish. she had to bring in another person to help, Linda, who tried to help and thin it out but it still looks horrible. On top of that the powder gel was 10$ more expensive than regular gel. do not come here, they will tell you anything to upsell you and will then gas light you to believe there isn't anything wrong. this was my first time getting my nails done since giving birth two months ago and was really looking for a relaxing experience and instead left basically in tears. read more

Came here for the first time for a powder mani. Will never be going back again. Worst experience. The tech Mino was horrible. After applying a couple coats of dip powder, there were some weird grooves that he proceeded to patch over the nail with more powder. He missed one groove that I had to point out to be patched. He cut all around my nails. Ouch. He left the nails super messy around the edges that at the end another tech had to take over and clean up my nails. He also did not smooth out the bottom of the nails so now that they're growing out, the bottom dip line isn't as polished as he dipped all the way to my nail beds. I know he was unexperienced, I just hope they train him more before having another customer experience what I went through. read more

really depends on which nail tech you get but Linda is horrible--she cut my cuticles so badly and they burn every time i wash my hands. she rushed the entire process and got irritated when i asked her to fix chrome (which is $10). at the end of the appointment, i get up to wash my hands for 20 seconds and she has already moved my stuff and has another customer sitting in the chair. read more

Discovered this place in the beginning of the year and havent gone to another place since! Parking around the area is easy and the place is super clean. The nail techs are all extremely nice and welcome you when you walk in. They have an amazing assortment of colors including the magnetic polish. They can do chrome polish with so many designs as well as 3D art which is my personal favorite. Compared to the city the services are priced well and you get a discount if paying in cash. I always get an spa manicure and gel manicure with design and have always been happy with what I get. Only once I got chrome and the powder was uneven when I looked the next day and they let me come in and fix it for free the following day. You can also opt for a shoulder massage while getting your manicure and the ladies have strong hands! My person favorites are Yuki and Kiki for their intricate designs. This place has gone downhill quite fast. Ever since they switched management, it seems they've employed technicians who like to argue with you and totally disregard what you're saying to them. I went for a gel manicure just the other day and the technician refused to glue one of my nails and said the gel would fix it. Now, less than a week later, my nail is broken in half....again. There's definitely a been change in management. It was noticeable when I walked in. I used to come here before moving to CT and ended up going to their sister salon in New Canaan. I will switch between the two locations whenever it's convenient to stop after work but hadn't stopped in since the summer. I stopped by after work and asked for a gel mani. The salon wasn't full but my mani was rushed. The technician was flying through the mani, and even pulled hard on my cuticles and only slowed down when I winced in pain. The polish was hastily put on and it was sloppy. Paint was on the sides of my nails and it just didn't look clean like they used to do in the past. When looking at reviews I was surprised to find that the tech who did my nails is one of their best nails artists and highly regarded for her designs. Disheartening. I'll stick to their sister place and the old management from now on. read more

Dare I say most unpleasant nail experience? My nail tech was great, attentive & thorough. So why 1 star? How uncomfortable for a woman to cough next to you continuously during a pandemic.. One cough, fine! Two coughs, okay. But the entire time?? I cannot think of anything worse in this social climate THAN SITTING DOWN and expecting everyone to be okay with you COUGHING like you have bronchitis. She should have been asked to reschedule immediately.. or at least after cough #15. When I paid & spoke to the manager to say no one should have to be in an environment with someone coughing like that she said she hadn't heard it. I'm sure even the people next door heard it and held their masks tighter. So I ran out of there with my half dried toes because I'd rather scuff my polish than get sick. A few people were in the salon yet I didn't see a seat wiped down or cleaned once & the air was to still to sit next to someone coughing up their guts. Pedicure seats are also lounge style sofas w pillows so don't expect a normal massage chair. Review does next reflect the store employees, just literally everything else. read more

I took a break from this place for almost a year in hopes to find something better in the area, but let me tell you, all the nail salons within a 2 mile radius are nothing compared to this one. I also recently went back to this nail salon once they reopened after the COVID-19 lockdown in New York. Let me tell you that this place is exceptionally clean. It was always clean, but even more now. They have state of the art disinfecting equipment for all the nail tools, the employees now wear face masks with shields, they do temperature checks upon entering, and overall just a very great atmosphere. Plus they still offer free massages! Score! I feel very comfortable going here now during this pandemic. I do bring my own nail polish just as an extra precaution (and because I always found that their nail polish chips rather quickly) but they are still very clean and mindful of everything that goes in and out. I even found the manager to be much more pleasant now than how she was a couple of years ago. I don't think I'll go anywhere else anymore! Appointment only! read more

covid: take temperature when you walk in, everyone was masked, some even wearing shields, and a shield set up at every seat. Friendly staff! Every time I come here they are patient/attentive to detail and never rush my manicure or pedicure. My favorite is the massage that you can get during your manicure! I also like that the pedicure chairs aren't the classic "massage" chair, that's usually more of a hassle than an enjoyment. Very clean and professional staff! I got the gel manicure and regular pedicure from here. I thought the paint job was great but the only thing I wish they did better was being more aggressive with the cuticle cutting...to be fair, I have a lot that needs to be cut. Also 1 minus star because they do not have massage chairs (only regular couches) for the pedicure They have many different pedicure package options which they do not pressure you into getting (I abhor pushy places).
