I took my sister to get her nails done for prom a dip set and a pedicure for both of us. We were greeted and seated quickly which was nice. The salon is very cute, clean, and spacious. As for the nails my pedicure was pretty basic. I asked for my French to be more square and they still came out round. I appreciate the attention to detail the guy who did my sisters toes had. She got a dip set that came out super cute, only complaint is that the polish on the side of the nails was filled off. EDIT FROM ORIGINAL REVIEW !! so this was the only salon i would go to but over the past few years things have changed and coming here a couple of days ago i remembered why i don't come here anymore. i feel like everytime i come in here they've changed something, added more furniture or just made it LOOK more aesthetically pleasing and in my opinion makes them think they can raise their prices. i used to not be charged for length, or any other ridiculous upcharging they do. i just came in for a classic mani-pedi and paid $58 before tip!!! and the service was not worth that price. not to mention i showed the girls what i wanted but they couldn't even do it. i wanted something that LOOKED like french tips but i just wanted pink paint with a white line pained across and they had to make it complicated and i guess i was charged for a design? anyways, if you don't want to be overcharged to get your nails done, or walk in somewhere and not feel welcomed, go elsewhere. i promise this is not the best salon in HEB anymore. read more

I am blown away & just moving to Texas, I think I've found my permanent nail salon Ann did my dip manicure & she was very attentive. Jimmy did my pedicure & he took his time. I decided to wait a few days before posting my review because I was so upset after my dip mani this past Thursday. It's a nice facility. Easy to reach. I was kindly greeted and offered water by the girls at the front. I was seated promptly and didn't have to wait long (I was a walk in) to be seated and seen. These are the qualities which saved this review and brought it up to 2 stars. The bad and the ugly... I have really thin nails so, growing them out is an absolute challenge. I've been working for months taking care, doing at home Treatments and getting regular dip and gel manicures to finally get my nails to a place that I was happy with. The guy who worked on my nails asked if I wanted tips -- I explained that I didn't and then he proceeded to start hacking away with a file. Maybe he saw the look on my face when I saw that he took my nails down by no less than a quarter of an inch... so he asked me again if I wanted tips. I stayed calm (at the end of the day, nails grow back no matter how slowly). I also explained that I wanted to keep my nails the shape they were (an obvious oval). He responded by asking if I wanted to make them round, no, I want to keep their shape at oval... Fast forward to my having paid nearly $50. (Every other nail salon I've gone to in the area charges $35). I get to my car and start to examine my nails. I'm trying to remain objective despite being upset about the length. First of all, every single one of my nails (in addition to being so much shorter) are pointed -- very nearly coffin nail shaped. The biggest issue that I have with this is that the angles, in every one of my nails are mismatched. So the points on my nails aren't even centered in the middle of my nails! My fingers now look crooked, messy and uneven. This is the worst part of all of my complaints -- the shape he made my nails. I'm posting pictures of everything in addition to this review. I have glue and powder all over my skin, there are several nails that have random debris stuck in them, making the overall texture of the nails bubbly and very unsmooth. During the manicure, while using the drill-file, he nicked several areas of my skin, making them sore, raw and bleeding. He never applied cuticle oil either. Several nails are unevenly coated. In some places, you can see my natural nail because the coating is so thin. In other places, there are just obvious discolored patches where less color was applied in some areas and more in others. Lastly, he didn't even apply the dip all the way to the back of my nails. Having left the salon moments before, I already looked like I had 7 days of growth between the color and my cuticles. I'm so disappointed by this experience. Especially since I had saved this salon in my bookmarks to try because of the wonderful reviews and it's close proximity to work. read more

They have pretty good nail color options, I've only gotten dip there so I'm not sure about the others. All the people there are so nice and leave it to you to relax. Beautiful salon! Very accommodating and attentive, I was asked 3-4 times if I was okay or needed anything. The staff was very friendly as well. The owner introduced herself to me, and gave me a step by step break down of cost of this design I wanted and Heidi NAILED It!!!! Not only was Heidi cool and fun to talk to, but she was precise and had a vision in mind and executed it. So happy with the nude shade and the lines she did on the colors. The massage was nice and my pedicure turned out fine but their Covid safety left more than a little to be desired. Several employees were not wearing masks including the receptionist when you first walk in and a few were openly coughing without covering their nose and mouth. There were several employees lounging on their phones or taking naps in the pedicure chairs which I highly doubt they sanitize before a customer sits in them next. My normal nail place had no available openings...yikes !! Soooo....did a bit of research on Yelp and have to say I'm VERY PLEASED with my decision to come here today! I got the "Hydrating heel" mani-pedi combo. Tom was my pedicurist and Ivy was the manicurist and both services were EXCELLENT! (I had a massage earlier today and I have to say the foot, hand, and shoulder massage I received here was just as good!). I will definitely be back...I have been stolen away from the other salon. I've been going to this nail salon for a while now I would always recommend it to everyone I knew But yesterday was the last time I went because of how they are and how rude they are and want to get the most money out of you but not give you the best service I scheduled an appointment at 5:15 i got there at 5:14 and walked in at the same time as some other customers they got sat down fast and started getting worked on while I waited and waited I left like at 7:10 but i want to say they left 25 min before me I got a pedicure done and acrylic toes and acrylic nails My pedicure was done after the acrylic toes where done ? To me that's weird because that means they didn't even clean your feet the pedicure was done so fast and I just got two things done quick This isn't the cleanest place either soo be careful and make sure you don't let them handle you so ugly and they respect YOU because your the paying client Also the front desk lady it's usually a guy ( I love him!! so. today i had quite the experience. i recently moved so i set up an appointment near NRH and chose this place based off the yelp photos thinking that if i came in with my expectation (the last pic on here), then i would have no issues with this place. i came in wanting a pedicure and the nails (from the last picture) done. the pedicure was nice! i loved the massage and got my standard white toes. my nails were being done at the same time as the pedicure. an older man kept looking at the picture i requested and kept muttering "i'll try but.........." which made me uneasy but because of the yelp photos, i felt that what i was asking wouldn't be too difficult to do. BUT LOOK AT MY NAILS!!! i was relaxing, enjoying the pedicure and the massage chair when i heard the *click* sound of the acrylic being cut off. the dude never asked me what length i wanted them at. and as y'all can clearly see, they're shorter than the original photo. soo then he asked another male to find the color to match my nails. the guy takes my phone and is absent for about 15 minutes. i'm not sure about y'all but as a female, that got me on edge. he was trying to match the color from the nails in the picture that was in my camera roll which is fine. but because he was gone for so long and i couldn't see him, it made me wonder if this person was airdropping photos of mine to his mobile device or other stuff. obviously, i'll never know, maybe i'm reaching, but this worried me. so anyways, dude's doing my nails chops my nails down to this length that you see, and just goes in. i look at my nails and i asked "sorry, could you buff them a little more on the sides to give an almond shape look?" and he just replies with "no. but i can take your nails off if you don't want them like this" me, off guard, says "uh, wait, could you repeat that again" and rudely repeats himself and says "if you don't like this shape, i'll take them off and you can leave" ?????????? bro. i'm polite asf so i don't say anything, i'm literally just shook and think "okay, it's okay, let him work and do his thing" so i stay quiet. because i hate conflict, i will never ever ever intentionally be one of those chicks who's entitled or rude, especially to POC. i feel so bad doing this review just because one, ive never done one before and two, it's not my character to be *that* person. i worked retail all my life, i know how bad it is out here so i'm always polite to everyone, i say thank you, have a nice day, smile, joke, literally everything to show others that i'm a decent human being and hopefully my interaction with you makes up for the other assholes in this world. but i'm on here because honestly, i'm done being pushed around. anyways, let's continue. we get to the middle finger. as you notice, one hand has the middle finger dark purple, the other is light. he started off with the dark purple which i hated and again, just went in and did it without my say. he did that with all five fingers. so in the next hand, i asked if he could get a lighter purple and he said "but it's not going to match" and i said "yea that's ok" thinking that i'll just go the next two weeks with my left hand in my pocket if the other hand looks good. next thing i know, he's done. the other employees kept coming over and looking at my nails the entire time and one lady just said "wow, a lot of colors" and that got me thinking "so, what? this is what I want. this is what i am ASKING him to do. i am literally paying to get this done. why is this an inconvenience for him to do??" anyways i'll end it at that because this is too long, bye. read more
