MISTREATS ELDERS! Prices are high, rude/mean ladies working there. MY (manicurist name, glasses) yelled "bend, bend" multiple times while my grandma was actively trying to bend her knees fast enough for the pedicurist. MY was rude and left cuts on my grandmother fingers. Then MY tells her "your nails are too hard". I was looking forward to spending time with my mom & grandmother here but this experience was negative. Don't usually write reviews but we felt like we needed others to know before going there. It was extremely disrespectful and disappointing. Same visit, I had a pedicurist named Jessie. I requested extra massage time on the fill out form and also said it at the beginning of the service. Before she starts massaging, she gets her timer out and sets it. I look at my phone & she notices that, so she fixes the timer to the time I requested... While rushing me, she didn't fully cover three of my toe nails with the base coat or seal my polish off. Just did a big dot, no strokes. Almost all of the lady's who worked on us were rude. I was gifted a GC for my birthday and was really looking forward to some me time. I generally go to the nail salon across from here on precinct but my sister recommended trying here. I called ahead to see if they had availability and they did. I was open to having anyone doing my pedicure as I was just trying to sneak away during my daughter's nap time. I was partnered with Ann. She was on a mission to get the job done. So much so I told her this was one of the fastest pedicures I have had. Her sequence of doing the pedicure along with the speed in which she was working made the entire experience less than relaxing. I had to ask her if she was going to clean up my cuticles. She spent more than 10 minutes of the "massage" part on my calves that I had to asked massage my feet. I can confidently say she spent 7 minutes on my left calf alone. When I had to ask her to round out my nails, she cut my nails all the way to the nail bed. She left wet towels on my legs for so long that got really cold to the point I had to take them off because it wasn't relaxing. She could tell I wasn't feeling comfortable. She became defensive when I decided I didn't want to have her paint my nails because it was genuinely becoming unbearable to sit in the chair any longer. She asked me how she could have made the service better when I was getting out of the chair, but by the end of the service, I was thoroughly exhausted and so disappointed. She knew early on in the service that I wasn't enjoying it so it was kind of too late by the time she was asking to even give my answer. When I was checking out, I explained a little bit of my concerns to the manager but I was still so disappointed. I declined any discounts and still made sure to tip because she did do a "service" even if I didn't feel she was good at it. I wanted to just use my gift card and not have any reason to return. I'm really sad because this place is commonly referenced in local Facebook groups as a great place to patronize. Two stars for each of the women who did my nails because they did a good job on my nails. I went here to avail of their $3 off gel manicure. I got a French gel manicure was $38 (with $3 off) and $38 for my de luxe pedicure (includes hot rock massage, callous removal, exfoliation and massage). I was charged $81. At that point I just paid for it since there were women behind me waiting. When I got home I realized I was overcharged. It should only be $76. I had a crack on one of my fingernails so I asked if they could glue it or dip--just fix it. The manicurist said ok and did a dip on that one finger. Little did I know that I was being charged for it because she never told me there was a charge. I got used to my old manicurist who would just fix it without charging me. But in this instance I would expect to be told I would be charged for that extra service--I wasn't. So as it turned out $5 was charged for that. That was just a tad bit of my disappointment. I felt discriminated upon maybe because I was Asian and it's ok not to treat me like the other non-Asian people -aka white people-- (yes I know, they are Asian too--you would think they would at least be nicer to me). I noticed everyone that just got sat in or already seated was asked if they want something to drink (they advertise they have complimentary drinks)--I wasn't offered, I had to ask for a bottled water. Then when I was done with my pedicure, no one really assisted me in putting my sandals on. The guy that was at the register was not friendly at all--at least to me because I noticed how he was nice with other "non-Asian" customers. All these I have mentioned above were expectations I had going here because I have gotten them from other Nail Spa in my area. I was extremely disappointed with my manicure. I asked for french tips with a color instead of white. I showed a picture and they came out looking nothing like the picture I showed. Instead of a tip, half of my nail is pink. There are no clean lines, it felt rushed, there are places that have rough textures and I don't believe these nails were worth what I paid for at all. These bigger fancy places are not for people like me that just want the basic manicure and pedicure. I got a basic pedicure a few months ago here and was charged extra for a callous. Smaller nails places don't do this.... It's $28 period. I got a French manicure yesterday and the polish came off the next day. Literally peeled off. I do not pick at my nails this was no fault of my own. The male owner was extremely rude and said it was my fault. He said he would fix it just this one time. They used just a plain clear polish to correct and that peeled off the next day as well. Their basic product is obviously crap quality. I refuse to get gel because it's simply not good for your nails. Your money goes for the fancy waterfall and surroundings. Customer service and friendliness is seriously lacking. I only came here because I was in town visiting my fiancé. I'll never come back here again and can't wait to get back to my small salon back in Austin where it costs way less, the quality of product is top notch and the respect and customer service is even better. read more

Have been getting dip, acrylic and gel nails and toes at the Artisan Nail Spa for 3 years. Today I went in and requested the exact same cats eye design that I have done every October for 5+ years at this nail salon and at other nail salons in the past. The design was black nail with the narrow orange cats eye stripe across the middle with the orange metallic polish. After 2 1/2 HOURS and 4 attempts, and 2 other nail techs coming over to comment and/or "help" .........I had to leave to get to an appointment and was stuck with black nails with splotchy orange metallic polish all over the place, lumpy finish, the black edges of the nails very visible. I told her I would come back in 2 days so she could fix them because it wasn't anything like their book or examples, which is what I chose from in the first place, just changed the color of the cats eye stripe. The girl who did my nails AND the man at the front desk behind us, having seen what was happening the entire time, had the audacity to make me pay $40 and tell me I would pay "the rest" when I came back to get them fixed!! I was late and didn't want to be loud, or upsetting to anyone in public, and their manager was not there for me to talk to, so I paid them, didn't leave a tip and left. Borderline furious. I called the day before to make an appt for 930 the next day when they open for a pedicure, and they took it. When I arrived on time, it was clear they had overbooked. Seeing they were already so busy I told them I needed to leave by 10:30- which happened to be to the airport- for a trip, which is the sole reason I wanted a pedicure. I sat waiting as they set up all the other clients. At 9:45 they put me in a chair and turned on the water, saying they will get to me soon. A few minutes later another tech walked by and turned off the water- she didn't say one word to me. So now my feet are sitting in stagnant luke warm water. At 9:55 another tech came over and said just a few more minutes. 3 techs now telling me nothing. At this point I'm over it. I don't know about you, but my time is valuable. I took the time to make an appt, and I arrived on time, all for nothing. So I left- and not one employee tried to stop me. I've never been there, and I'll never be back. read more

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the Salon and my pedicure turned out great, the massage was amazing and the color and rhinestones lasted a full 4 weeks. This is the 2nd time I have had Tina for a pedicure. She speaks very little English so I don't think she understands when you give her your preferences. As a former Professional Nail Tech I can say with all honesty that her skill set is very amateur. She made all my toe nails so short after I told her that I had already shaped my nails and to also leave the length. She did not push the cuticle back properly, the nails have a funny round look to them. Got home to only redo. One can only hope that when you get a service that you don't have to redo when you get home. Now I do want to say that I have also had Annie a few times and she is excellent! I ask for her every time but sometimes it is her day off or she is with another customer. She listens to her customer, has a high degree of attention to detail and speaks English very well. She also uses the nail drill to shape and scale the nail, fantastic very professional Nail Tech! Excellent! Every time I go to this Salon I see the Nail Techs struggling with these little puny files that are cheap, old fashioned and for people at home who don't know the difference. The Salon would do better to pay a few cents more to use the professional grade larger black files instead of the others, which I think is part of the reason that they are challenged to shape a nail properly. read more

What I do like about this place is it is very clean. I haven't had my nails done for a long time. I shy away as I don't want to become ill or get an infection. I am a cancer survivor and I am very careful. However, this was a special day for my daughter and I. This was a very EXPENSIVE day too. By the time we got done with our mains and pedis, it was $240 and that didn't include a tip for the 4 technicians. Yes, my daughter had acrylics added, dip - one color, and regular toenail polish. I decided to try dip as I had never done this before. I did do French on nails and toes. My toes look great. When they did my nails they didn't even touch my cuticles! They just filed away and did the dip. Now my cuticles look terrible 3 days out. They don't even carry the dip deep enough into the nail. For this price I would expect them to last a lot longer. I went with my two daughters for all three to get pedicures and full dip. My daughters like longer nails and my youngest had a nail tech who seemed to be frustrated and told her short is better? Cut the old tips and went too far down and cut her a few times and just said "oh"My other daughters nail tech told her the shape couldn't be done because her nails are not thin like the other person who was my youngest. My daughters nails ended with no shape .2 and a half hours later and 274.00. Techs were rushed, aggressive and seemed to only do short basic shaped nails. If you are wanting something more personalized don't bother. We got home and spent about another hour to reshape to something that did not look like as my daughter said thick Pringle's as my nail. Techs need to use scissors to accomplish shape on tips instead of toe nail clippers like they do in more true artisan nail shops. read more

This review is for a walk-in eyebrow wax. This place opened a couple weeks ago right next to Kroger and currently has a large sign in front with 20% off all services for its opening. It has a spacious, open layout, looks clean, and seems to have a good number of employees for the time being. Prices are reasonable and competitive. I like how they always have someone at the front desk so I'm not yelling at someone across the room about what service I would like while they're attending to someone else. I came in on a Friday and was taken to the back after waiting a few minutes. The woman that waxed my eyebrows was sweet and said she had been working in salons for over a decade. She did a decent job shaping, but seems like she forgot the whole "clean up" part under my brows because I had to use a tweezer to pluck obvious areas that should have been removed once I got home. Front desk also forgot to take off 20% for the service until I mentioned it. I understand that this is a new place and they're trying to work out the kinks. Overall, nice staff and good prices, but the service quality could improve. I'm willing to come back and get my nails done, but not until I try the numerous other salons around here first. read more

Came here on a Saturday and was able to get in without problem. I gave a 20 minute call ahead. The staff is very nice and accommodating. They have a ton of pedi chairs and tvs to watch. They have more than enough staff members to pamper each customer. I love the selection of dip powders they have and the different options for manis and pedis. The first time I went was in January and I really liked the powder vs the gel manicure. I noticed that one of my fingers started to hurt. I knew it was from the roughness of the filing. I went back on Monday. I got the gel manicure and a pedicure. Lesson learned, don't go close to 6pm on a weekday. They rushed trying to do my hands and feet but they didn't close until 7:30. They didn't have to rush. Now my thumbs hurt because of the rough filing. I guess this was my last time trying them. There is a nice place on Keller that is cheaper.
