wow, I am surprised this place doesn't have more great reviews. I have been a faithful client of this nail salon for years now. Yes, they are pricier than most but when it comes to my nails and comfort I rather spend the extra $$ to be reassured that I won't be catching some nasty infection trying to save some cash. They are super clean and in the few years (~ 3) I have been their client I get consistently beautiful manicures and pedicures plus amazing massages. For about a year now I always get gel manicures and I swear by them, not only do I get compliments on my nails almost daily, but for $30 my hands stay PERFECTLY manicured for about 3 weeks. Yes, I do end up having to cut my nails at about the 2 week mark but they still look beautiful and shiny. My favorite girl is Sophia, she is super detail oriented, sweet, and will tell you straight up if your nails need some extra TLC or can't handle the gel manicures (they can be really harsh on some people's nails), but if she is not around everyone else does a great job too. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place. I've been coming here since they opened when I was in high school (over 12yrs ago). I have never been disappointed with this place, I don't go to one specific person because they all have the same work ethic and skill. I moved further from here but I still go out of my way to come here because I have not found one place that gives you the same quality of service like this place. It's pretty decent pricing, I've spent more in other places and have received half the job they do here. Definitely recommend coming here, the one thing I miss is they use to have someone give you a mini back massage when you were drying your nails. But they get so busy I'm sure they don't want to waste a person to do that. I try to come at off peak times but I don't mind the wait. They do an amazing job on my hands and feet. read more

Very clean salon. The girls that work here are fantastic. The owners not so much. I got a pedicure during the week and when I told them I also wanted a manicure, the owner told the girl to tell me no one available. I was standing right there. He won't talk to clients. The only place I have ever gone to and left completely happy. It is the cleanest salon in the area, with the most selection and the nicest people. I have never left unsatisfied with a manicure or pedicure. Gel manicures are perfect, pedicures are relaxing and the special spa pedicures are so worth it. This place isn't that bad. i have gone here a couple of times when my usual nail place was close for renovations. I normally get a gel manicure and a spa pedicure. My pedicure only last around 7 days for me. When I get a gel manicure the lady refused to do design on just one finger and tried to rush me out as quickly. I will not be returning here because they are always rushing as well being rude. read more

Vicky did a manicure in less than 10 minutes. I could have done a better job at home and by myself. I have given this place many chances and every time I come in everything is rushed. Not only is it rushed but my manicure looks horrible, she painted more of my skin than my actual nail. read more

i go here to get my nails done and my regular manicures last up to three weeks without chipping (but my nails always last that long no matter where i go) they have a LOT of colors to choose from, OPI essie china glaze and always have the new collections i always go to sella, she does my nails perfectly and is very sweet! i just wish they would give me that quick back massage as i dry my nails which i never get and i do wish that they had new clean pack of the cuticle clippers and stuff but they do sanitize it (when I ask) BUT.... my nails always look perf read more

HORRIBLE. DO NOT COME HERE. I used to come to this nail place a lot and I loved it, however I stopped coming because it was a bit far. I came back for the first time two days ago and my experience was horrible. I made an appointment the day before for 1 pm and when I got there I still waited 40 minutes, even though I had an appointment. Now for the actual service. I still have calluses on my feet, they did not massage my hands, they told me they "couldn't clean under my nails", some of my nails are round, some are square, some are just a wavy line with no definitive shape, I was hurt about 4 times during the process, and on top of all of this, my manicure AND pedicure chipped THE SAME DAY. This is the worst service I've ever had and it was more expensive than I've paid. STAY AWAY. read more

I have been going to this salon for about 3 years now. I love the mani/pedis they give, and have never considered them too expensive. (You get what you pay for right?) The girls are so detail oriented and friendly and want to make sure you're happy with their work. I visited the salon today for the first time in about 2 months, and they re-did the layout a little. They now only have one private room for waxing, and then a chair right out front as the other waxing station. I went into the room to get an eyebrow/lip/chin wax, and was told by the manager we couldn't do it in there because there was another girl waiting to get a brazilian. Now, clearly, I would never allow this girl to get a Brazilian out in the open, but they couldn't have waited til we were done? It doesn't take longer than 10 minutes. I let the girl continue in the chair because I was desperate for a wax, but I was humiliated an felt very uncomfortable finishing in the middle of the room. Girls go to salons for discretion and to make themselves feel more self confident. I walked out relieved to not be embarrassed any more. Maybe put up a curtain or something!! I am extremely disappointed with the service from this nail salon. My mom and I had made an appointment here, not for the first time, and trying to park in their back parking lot takes some time because of how cramped it is and busy. We go inside to learn that because we were 8 minutes late they gave our appointment away. They didn't call and ask if we were still coming. They then said oh it's only going to be 20 minutes. We were upset because we made an appointment so we didn't have to do this. My mom realized that it couldn't be 20 min and asked again to the owners to tell her the truth, the woman said 40 minutes. we asked how could they just give the appointment away without calling. We had called the day before so it's not like we wouldn't be showing up because it was a forgotten appointment. The woman wouldn't even look at us as we are trying to talk to her and her coowner husband told us he was not sorry very rudely. Then they both ignored us. So we left and will never be going back there again. Previously when we made an appointment they made us wait still even when we got there on time. They are a horrible business and I suggest not going here ever because of the way they treat their customers. They don't care about anything but making money! read more

Best nail salon in the area, hands down. I've been coming here for over 5 years and have even brought friends from LI here to try it. They extremely clean, courteous & worth the price and wait. My gel manicure lasts at least 4-5 weeks and even a regular manicure lasts at least 1 & 1/2 weeks with the magic top coat. I've paid over $50 for pedicures at Spa's like Bliss and still think their $40 spa pedicure is a much better service. read more

I've been coming here since just after they opened, at least 10 years ago. Always have had a good experience which is why I kept going back. The technicians are good, however as of late the front desk has been not good. The last two times I went for mani/pedis, the receptionist brought me to the chairs, waited til I got settled and then told me that it would be a 15-20 minute wait. Today, when I walked in with my mother, we both asked for mani/pedis, she brought us back to the chairs, the one technician started my mother's pedi and I was taking my shoes off to get mine started, when the receptionist walked over and then told me it would be another 20 minutes. I understand if there is a wait but why couldn't she have told me that when we first walked in and give me the option of staying or coming back another time? My mother wound up getting only a pedicure and we left. After three times, I think I'm done with this place. Very unfortunate because the technicians are good. this is the best nail salon in bayside/whitestone - they have a ton of girls and chairs. it is more upscale than most of the other salons and always very clean. a mani/pedi is $21 but they give the best foot/leg massages for a good 8 minutes just on a regular pedicure. also while youre drying your nails they have 2 girls that give complementary back massages, they are AMAZING! they can be a little pricey in terms of gel mani, tips etc, but other than that I highley reccomend this place! i love grace and jenni theyre the best. read more

This is my go to salon and just for fun I Yelped it to see the reviews. I was surprised that there were no real current ones and felt compelled to write one. It still is the nicest salon I have ever used in the area. It is clean, staff is pleasant and knowledgeable and the work is wonderful. They are always willing to work with you to get you an appt even if it's close to closing time.. They are very clean and have just switched to disposable products to use so each person always gets a brand new set used on them. They have lots of colors to choose from for both regular manicures and gel. I highly recommend! read more

This is the best nail salon anywhere. I have been going here for at least 15 years and I just love it. The salon is spotless and has the best pedicure massage chairs I have ever sat in. They have the latest techniques and nail polish colors. The owners are very accommodating and they staff very knowledgeable technicians. My favorite is Sophia. She is the best nail technician I have ever been too. She is very knowledgeable and gentle. She is just a lovely person. I highly recommend requesting Sophia if you would like a wonderful mani/pedi experience. I give this salon 5 stars for cleanliness, wonderful service, latest technology, Owners who take pride in their business and a wonderful staff (with the exception of one technician whose name begins with N who I will not call out because I love the salon so much. But I would never recommend her. She is very rough and makes what is supposed to be a relaxing manicure experience anything but relaxing. When I went to her she would tell me not to say hello to any of the other technicians. She didn't want me to be friendly to anyone but her. She would rush through the manicure or pedicure so quickly so that she could move onto the next customer. She is rude and obnoxious and thinks she is the best and she clearly is not). The workers here are wonderful and great at their job. Unfortunately they work for an awful person. The 1 star is for the manager/owner. He is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I called the morning of to make a 1:30 pm manicure appointment with a specific person. The man asks for my name, I assume to write it in the appointment book. I arrive at the salon early at 1:15 pm and am picking out a color, when another patron walks in and asks for a mani/pedi from the same person I have an appointment with. He proceeds to seat her and I politely mention that I too have an appointment with that associate. He looks at his book and asks my name and asks the other woman's name. Then and tells me that I will need to wait because he does not see my name there. But, how is it that just 2 mins before when I walked in the door and told you who I had an appointment with, you said, "Ok pick a color!!?" I know he is just greedy bc I only had a manicure appointment and the other person wanted a mani/pedi. I showed him my phone to show him the call I made that morning to his business and how many minutes the phone call was for and he proceeded to tell me that I never made an appointment. Needless to say I will never be back here. People like that should not get any business. read more

I am absolutely disappointed with my experience here tonight. I decided to come to this nail salon which used to be fantastic for my last manicure and pedicure as a treat right before I have my baby. I am 9 months pregnant and due any day. I walked into the salon at 6:50 to be asked if I wanted to have my manicure and pedicure done at the same time because they were closing at 7:30. I figured that wasn't a bad idea, sure why not. WHAT A MISTAKE! I was rushed through both my manicure and pedicure with shop members on both sides of me sweeping and cleaning to close the place up. I can be understanding of this as these people were finished for the day but it only added to my negative experience. I barely got the hopeful massage I was looking for as I was rushed through it all for the sake of the business being able to close their doors and push their guests out. I'm sorry but with 40 minutes of notice to give an adequate manicure and pedicure for the price of $26.00 I do not think my expectations were too high. Well, while I was drying my nails one of the staff members across the room was making faces at the owner behind me with joking looks of "can we hurry this up"and snickering. The two girls who did my nails had already taken their aprons off and had their purses on their arms ready to walk out the door as they eyed me down for their tip. I am kicking myself for even giving them one but being a person who has lived off of tips I caved at the moment. I really shouldn't have because once I got into my car I realized that all of the other workers, and the girls who were responsible for my nails, not a single one of them offered to come over and help the pregnant lady take the cotton out from between her toes and help me to roll down my leggings. I drove home with barely dry nails and my circulation being cut off because I couldn't pull my pant legs down by myself. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! I have no idea what happened to this place, I used to recommend it to everyone and speak very highly of their service. This was unacceptable and I will call the owner tomorrow to complain because I am very frustrated at this whole situation. Do not waste your time or money here. Go somewhere that will help you carry your purse to the drying station so you don't ruin your nails and knows a little something about customer service. read more
