I went there for the first time to get an eyebrow wax Christmas Eve 2025, I was having breakfast next door and the place was convenient, what a horrible experience, the technician burned me! She placed hot wax lower than my eyebrow line and ripped my skin! When I told her she burned me she was not at all sorry, no apology or acknowledgement of what she had done..her response was "maybe you're sensitive". I told her that I'm not sensitive, I get waxed all the time. I showed her my face and she still charged me full price, again without apology when the burn was immediately evident! Very unprofessional. I went next door to have breakfast and came back to show the owner since my eyes were now swollen. The owner was alarmed by the burn and tried to help with antibiotic cream and was apologetic. Unfortunately the damage was already done! I will never go back there again! read more

I went here for the first time this past Friday (06/03/2022) and was really pleased and excited that they could take me as a walk-in at around noon. I chose a color, was seated almost immediately and was in and out in about 20 minutes. The staff was very kind and accommodating, however for a $15 manicure + tip, I wish it had lasted at least 24 hours! I got my nails done for a wedding. They were completely dry when I left at around 12:30 and looked great, but by Saturday had chipped. On Sunday, pieces of polish were flaking off until Monday morning, I finally decided to just take the loss and remove them with acetone so that they didn't look terrible. Overall? Wouldn't return here. While they are fairly priced, clean, busy, and accommodating, I definitely did not get my money's worth! read more

I came here after an unpleasant experience at the place across the street, and when I found out that I could get a mani AND a pedi at Nail Quest for only 25 bucks, I was ready to give it a go! Good thing too because I ended up having such a GREAT experience. :) The woman that did my manicure and pedicure did a fantastic job, all with a gentle touch, but what really won me over was the fact that she was so nice and sweet. She said that she was relatively new and there were a couple of new hires recently, which is the only thing I can think of when looking at the other review back in the beginning of the year (maybe the bad apples got the boot?). Also, on a completely unrelated note, apparently she's the fashionista there because while she was doing my mani/pedi, one customer said she had a cute haircut and about 10 minutes later, another customer mentioned her shoes. lol I know it's strange to put in a review, but it was memorable for me because how many times can you say that your nail tech not only did a great job but was also well put together? lol :) Anyway, back to the nitty gritty! She was totally attentive, keeping up a friendly conversation with me, and she wasn't chit-chatting with her co-workers (that's kind of a pet peeve of mine). Also, I'm not a fan of cuticle hackers and bad hygiene, so I was really happy to see that not only did she use some kind of cuticle conditioner before gently pushing back my cuticles, but she also applied it with a dropper versus smearing it on with brush (the dreaded kind that gets used on one person and dunked back into the bottle, only to be used on the next person - yuck!). That alone let me know this was going to be a good experience, right off the bat! :D She cleaned up the cuticles on my hands and later, my feet, and the polish application was awesome on both. Although I'm usually apprehensive about getting my brows done at a nail salon, I was definitely overdue and asked if she did brows too. To my surprise, she said that she was the go-to brow girl at the last salon she was at, and I decided, what the heck? :) Well, now my brows look awesome, my nails are finally looking good, and so are my toes! I am a HAPPY GIRL! :D I ended up tipping her over the "normal" 20% for the discounted $25 mani/pedi rate because yeah, I was used to paying and tipping for $40 for both services where I used to live, but above that, I was really happy with everything. I felt wonderful, and wonderful = 30% in my book. I'm definitely going to look for her next time and see if I can book her bi-weekly. This place is a mixed bag for me! While the regular manicures I received were decent (not anything to write home about), the service has been slow and sporadic. The manager just sits there and will order you to come up when other technicians are with other customers. At busy times, they will take their regulars before walk-ins even when regulars enter the salon later. If you dare to complain, the manager will try to have other customers go before you and/or yell at you! I would avoid this place during peak times, as the manager has no idea of how to manage crowds, and gets easily flustered. read more

I used to come here more often for simple mani/pedis, but once I started opting for gel polish I stopped because they just don't seem to do that great of a job. I went about 6 months ago and got the Shellac gel color polish. My manicure chipped the same night I got my nails done (it was the holidays so I didn't have a chance to go in and get them fixed, but gel is supposed to last 2-3 weeks). I swore I would never go back, but I did, out of convenience. This experience was a little better. The gel seems to have been applied thick enough that it won't immediately chip, but the nail tech did a sloppy job. I have polish on my skin under or around most of my nails and the circle edges are sloppy. The top coat of gel polish is also really uneven on a few nails. I was also disappointed by their limited selection of OPI brand gel polishes, which the lady told me to get last time when I called after my Shellac gel manicure chipped the same night. I got a pedicure today, too. But, strangely, the young lady who did my toes did a great job. That's the weird thing - it's like they can only do a good job with regular polish. read more

This is by far the worst spot in Livingston! Not only are the managers rude but they lack customer service and gratitude. I recently got manicure/pedicure and callus treatment - I was told $60 from the manicurist and the manager comes and charges me $70 and then sees me giving cash tip to my manicurist and says you owe money for pedicure tip which I didn't care but it was how she said it and demanded it. And she walked away speaking in Asian language something inappropriate! On top of it all, they made my finger bleed and never once apologized! Save yourself the grief and money by not supporting them! They are rude and have no respect for what being in customer service industry means! Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!! read more

This was my first and last time that I will be going to Nail Quest. My husband and I decided to try a new nail salon, so we ventured into the salon. We were greeted immediately upon walking in (this is what the one star is for), and serviced within the minute. The pedicures were basic and my husband's manicure was mediocre. His hands were not soaked prior to/during the manicure and the one coat of clear looks dull. What made what should have been a relaxing experience anything but was being harassed to pay while waiting for my pedicure to dry and my husband to complete his manicure. I went to get a pedicure today, it was my first time here. They ruined my toes, I'm bleeding on 3 of my toes. The lady who did my toes was very very rude. She made a loud sigh of exhaustion as if she wanted nothing to do with me. I did not like the way I was treated and I will definitely not be going back! I get regular mani-pedis here, along with the occasional eyebrow wax, and I have always been really happy with the results. The ladies that work there have always been friendly to me and the same goes for my mom and sister who get their nails done here as well, so I can't speak to the other reviews. I definitely don't think the salon is dirty, though. I've been there before closing on more than one occasion and saw the girls cleaning up a storm. I was driving by and was happy to see this place is open on a Sunday. Went in for a mani/pedi ($25) and was out in 1 hour. Pedi was fine; nothing spectacular. Mani could have definitely been better. I'm very particular about the shape of my nails and they weren't filed to my liking. The place appears to be very clean and the ladies working there are all very pleasant and friendly. I came here while waiting for an appt across the street. Was served immediately. The lady doesn't speak English that much but she was friendly. She did a good job on my pedicure, though I only get pedis two or three times a year, so don't really have high standards. The place was very clean and relaxing. The worst manicure I've ever had. Sloppy. My manicurist, who I believe was the owner, didn't trim my cuticles properly. My manicure was rushed and when I messed up my thumb nail, she didn't take off my nail polish and paint my nail again. She simply took nail polish remover and rubbed the spot and put a coat of clear polish over the spot. The result was a clumpy mess. The paint bubbled as well and there was old polish residue under my nails. The paint never really dried, even though I sat at the drying table for 25 minutes. I've taken off the paint. read more

i went to this nail salon once and it was great! the second time i went, it was beyond a disaster. I recommend avoiding this nail salon at all cost. I got a manicure and my eyebrows waxed. The manicure was poorly done but the eyebrow waxing was even worse. The women got wax all over my hair! In addition to this she spread oils all over my face, causing me to break out everywhere! The wax itself was also very bad and painful. I ended up having to cut off a large chunk of hair to get the wax off and wash my face for 20 minutes to get all the stubborn oil off. Overall the prices were higher then most places in the area and the service was horrific. Do not go. read more

I have been here several times. They have a few manicurists that are good - Liz and Cindy. The others are not good. I have been cut a few times. They dont like to take appointments so it can be difficult to get a good employee. Also they like to speak non English to each other which is very rude. Each time the place seems dirtier. My daughter had an after school appt for a mani pedi. When she arrived, she was asked to pay. She explained that I would pay when I got there. The lady (whom I believe to be the manager) told her that she would not be served until she paid. She paid for the manicure. When I got there she was still being served. No sooner than I arrived the Manager asked "your daughter?" When I said yes, she said "you have to pay". I gave her my credit card and asked her to return the cash my daughter paid and charge everthing to the card. She said "the tip?". I repeated my request, and she charged the card for both the mani and pedi. After I signed the slip, she again asked"no tip?". I left my daughter getting her pedicure. When I returned the "manager" said"one more dollar, she get slippers". It appears that neither the attendant who was new, nor my daughter was aware that the slippers were sold, so she provided one to my daughter without being asked. She was also surprised when the "manager" told my daughter that the slippers were a dollar. This harassment makes the experience far from relaxing.. The rest of the staff is pleasant, and we tipped in cash, but because of her attitude , we will never go back. read more
