I've been to Nail Spa multiple times, and with each consecutive time the experience deteriorates. There are many nail technicians that work there, so you really never know who you're going to get. For the last two times that I've come in for a shellac manicure, I've gotten Cody. I asked him both times to square off my nails and he gives me affirmation that he will but does not. This most recent visit, he rushed through the entire process and the coats on my nails are completely uneven and my nails are anything but square. Gave me a bacterial nail infection!!!! I have been going to nail spa for over 4 years and Kim was amazing. I went for a refill and she was off work so they put me with 'the best they had'. He didn't trim the lifted part of my nails, argued with me for 10 minutes about how I HAD to let him change the shape of my nails because they looked bad and after telling him THREE times not to change the shape, he did it anyway. If I could give zero stars I would. I got an eyebrow and lip wax today and the attendant barely paid attention the entire time. My eyebrows don't look too great and definitely burned (along with my upper lip). My lip got so burned they didn't charge me for it because even she realized how bad it was. I've been here three times, the first two times I had good experiences but when I went yesterday it was awful. I went for a walk-in and the nail tech that did my nails was Thi. When he was doing my nails he was almost yanking my hands, and when he removed my cuticles he buffed them down so much that he broke skin in a couple of places. I figured it was no big deal if they were tiny nicks, but he also had no consideration for them and I know he saw at least one because it bled a bit. When he finished I left quickly because I had other things to do, but when I did I noticed that a few of my nails were messed up and the nicks were bigger than I thought. I went back today to ask for a refund and the lady told me they could fix my nails and that she couldn't see the broken skin but I definitely didn't want to do that because my skin's already swollen near the cuts and I didn't want to irritate it more since they've been stinging since yesterday. In the end they only gave me $15 back of the $35 I paid (excluding tip). I didn't argue but I'm definitely not going to them again. read more

So I went in today and I had an amazing experience with Elaine last time so I brought a friend. We both asked our guys if they could do what we wanted because we had lots of ideas we could choose from if not. They said yes and we both had awful experiences. I'm leaving a picture comparison. I told him to just do the powdery matte maroon and the gold. They look nothing a like and when I said I wanted a polish change, they told me that I would have to wait at least 45 minutes. So I have an appointment tomorrow to fix this mess. In the future, please do not say yes if you can not do what we want, we will not be offended. I paid over $40 for these and they are hideous! I was extremely impressed with their service! I went on a weekend where there was a graduation so it was kind of busy but the got me in and out in less then an hour and a half (time included both an eyebrow wax and solar nails). The prices are extremely reasonable as well. The lady who did both was amazing. The nails stayed on a lot longer then any other time I had gotten them done, and they were completed to perfection. Came here yesterday looking for an OPI shellac manicure and I found it!!!! Reasonably priced, tons of colors to choose from, clean and the guy did a great job. He wasn't chatty with me (I'm not a huge fan of small talk), paid attention to my nails and made sure I was satisfied with the color and amount of coats he put on. Unfortunately, the woman who works the front desk has a bit of a language barrier. She was nice, friendly and attentive. They do a great job on acrylics for a good price- ask for "naturals," if you want to be able to paint over your new nails from time to time, or "pearls," which will cost you more, for a shimmery version of the traditional French mani. This is the best nail salon in College Station! I've gotten acrylics, pedicures, and shellac done here and they always do a fabulous job. I've never had anything short of an excellent experience with all the techs every time I come. I had acrylics done at Super Nails so badly the other day that I came here immediately the next day to have them taken off and redone. They were very gentle with my short, weak nails and did an excellent job! This is also one of the few salons here with a website with pricing so I like browsing my options before I go so I know what I want. I took my sister here on a Saturday afternoon for manicures. I had a shellac manicure and my sister did regular nail polish. My manicure was done very well and turned out pretty, but was done in half the time of my sister's polish manicure. I sat and waited with my sister while she was having her nails dried, and after 20 minutes, the polish still wasn't dry. The fan was hot, and she was eventually really uncomfortable because her fingers were hot. Most salons I've been to have LED lamps, which are much faster. The nail person next to me was feeling the awkwardness and finally told him that I was ready. "Massage" was a joke. Basically rubbing in the lotion over and over. I have skin that grows rampant under my nails- didn't scrape it at all. I have an ingrown toenail that needs to be kept in check. NOT taken care of. Nails badly filed. Walked away a couple times to play with his phone. Stared at it the entire time. Polish is puddled at the corners. Put in the toe separation cotton afterwards. Kept making mistakes and had to make weird strokes to fix the polish. Nothing he needed was in the cart and he constantly had to walk back to get it. Only words said to me was "Want a manicure too?" First review of 2015 for this nail salon so here we go. Had to visit for a manicure and an eyebrow waxing for a wedding, and of all the days I chose to come in I chose a Friday. Needless to say it was very VERY busy. I had Elan do my brows and nails. Came in at 1:00 for my nail appointment and was completely done with both things by 1:21. The manicurist was very nice however the job was a little sloppy. I'm currently trying to rub the gallon of oil put on my face and picking the nail polish on my cuticles off. I want so badly to like this place but for a $13 manicure and a $8 eyebrow waxing I expect a little better than nail polish on my cuticles and stray hairs around my brows. Plain and simple disappointing. If you're going to give this place a try make sure you visit in the middle of the day on a weekday. But keep in mind that they're still very likely to rush you in and out the door. Overall it's not terrible and it's not fantastic. Mostly just mediocre. read more

I will never be back here. I asked for dip powder nails, I received bumpy, uneven, misshapen nails. Firstly, I asked my nail tech if they had any matte options and she replied "No one likes matte, it is ugly". Next, I asked for a coffin shape, she again replied, "No, coffin is ugly. No one likes it, I am going to do oval". I again asked for coffin and she refused. I got (not matte) white and she did not go all the way to the cuticle so it looks like it is two different colors/ombre. I paid $40 dollars for absolute junk. I would have been understanding and sympathetic for the poorly done nails if the nail tech would have done what I wanted. I had an awful experience here at my first and only visit there! I DO NOT recommend going there! I made an appointment a week in advance for a full set and pedicure and when I showed up for my appointment time, they made me wait an additional 30 minutes before being seated at the pedicure chair. When getting my pedicure the woman was clearly distracted and couldn't care less about me! She rubbed my legs after all the lotion was dissolved over and over agin until she was rubbing my skin raw. Then she rushed through the rest of the pedicure! She did a quick polish and then messed up the polish on a couple toes and was not going to fix it till I pointed it out. She then scraped off the messed-up polish with her finger nail and painted a sloppy coat on top. They finished my pedicure and said they were closing and that I would have to come back tomorrow for my full set. Even though my appointment was for both my manicure and pedicure they did my pedicure then rushed me out! They didn't even let me dry my toes because they insisted on me paying so they could close! I will NEVER go back and when my friends ask, I will tell them NOT TO GO HERE!! The worst nail experience I have ever had! I was satisfied with my manicure, and have been continuing to come back to get a new shellac manicure every couple of weeks. Depending on the nail technician, sometimes my nails start chipping around the two-week mark (pretty normal) but I've had times where the polish lasts over 3 weeks before even a single imperfection!
