They don't sanitize any of the tools... saw them finishing up a pedicure and went to the sink and washed the tools with soap and water. Told them that was so gross and I wanted a set of tools that were professionally sanitize and they said they didn't have one. Anyone who comes here should definitely be careful. I definitely will not be coming back... I did not come in for service on the day of review, I came in few months ago on a walk in I live at city walk apartment. Asian male was the one who helped me, I had a old set of gel that needed to be taken off and a manicure afterwards but I saw an older lady tech who just finished a pedicure on a client and walk to the sink and washed the implements without any sanitation and proceed to a new customer that was waiting for a pedicure! I even asked my Asian male tech that I want a set of implements that were sanitized fresh out of the bag and he said no we don't have that. That's when I said forget the manicure! I don't know who you are for your information even if you have a jar of sanitation next to the sink the implements need to be inside for at least 15 mins! Even the tubs need to be scrubbed and filled with waters and disinfectant and cycled for 15 mins! I saw nothing of that at your salon and your calling your paying customer a liar? Yes please report me to Yelp! Let me go report you to the state board and see what they say when they come check your salon! You think I have nothing to do but to waste my 5 mins and give you a one star for nothing? It doesn't matter how far back but I was there how was I suppose to know ownership got changed? The business name is still the same! You should appreciate every message a customer write whether it's good or bad, Yelp is here so paying customers can write anytime they want. What you really should of said on the first message was this is a new ownership sorry if you had a bad experience from the old ownership. Please come visit us to see how the new ownership is running. Then I would of took my bad review off! Instead your here arguing calling me a liar, getting all defensive! Why? Maybe the ownership didn't change that's why your so defensive? I am glad I wondered upon this salon that is attached to city walk apartments in Woodbury. The price was average and they use nice salt/sugar scrub on your feet. It was not busy the day I was in there and I enjoyed the quietness. My service provider was easy to talk to and I had a nice and relaxing time. read more

I got a mani/pedi here last week, and it was fabulous. I was seated moments after walking in, and the technician did an excellent jobs with both hands and feet. The polish job was great- my nails didn't chip for a full five days, and I work very intensively with my hands (also did no touch-ups with topcoat- that would have made it last even longer I'm sure). The experience was great too, they spend a lot of time cleaning your feet & hands before ever applying the polish. All for a reasonable price (44 dollars for a student), I'll be coming back. read more

So impressed with this nail salon. For two years I have lived in Woodbury and tried to find a quality nail salon who didn't cut corners! From the minute I walked in, I was greeted, offered a beverage and was so impressed with the quality Gel manicure I received. There was a problem with the color and the nail stylist got support from the owner and together they made my nails beautiful and made sure I was satisfied. The manicure was detailed and they did things slow and to quality. So many times you sit watching a nail place cut corners to hurry you along but not this place! So happy I found a new place I can come to knowing I will get a quality manicure that will last. I will be going back to them going forward. I believe this place is successful because of the owners. We came to Nail Studio 06 after being rudely treated at Bella Beau across the street. We were traveling from N. Illinois for a wedding and wanted to have some girl time. The two nail technicians were AMAZING! It was very reasonably priced, completed in a timely fashion and they even painted my 3 year old's nails while she patiently waited at no extra charge. Went in for a full set acrylic and they look amazing! I've never been satisfied with acrylic because they make my nails look bulkier and the ladies at other salons never shape them the way I want them. But after seeing Tammy I am completely amazing at how well she did! I showed her a picture and she did as close as she could to what I wanted. Plus she was willing to talk to me and get to know me while I was there. You don't get that a lot going into nail shops. At least not in Woodbury. Anyways, thanks Tammy!!! My family and I have been coming to Studio 06 for almost 2 years now, and they still do a great job for my 3 teenage granddaughters, my daughter, my mother-in-law and me. I did a review shortly after I started coming here saying that when you come, you should ask for Patrick, the owner. Now, there are several more really good techs in addition to Patrick (still the best). Ask also for Carrie or Ashley for acrylics (probably others I can't remember). Gel mani's - Carrie, Ashley, Suya, might be more. Pedi's - anyone. Everyone here is so nice. My granddaughters love coming here to get Patrick's latest technique. My 88 yr old mother-in-law feels very comfortable here, and everyone welcomes her. This place has a lot to do with why I've been able to stop biting my nails! No rudeness like I've seen in other salons. My gel manicures always last a long time. Salon is clean. Prices reasonable. read more

Everyone was very nice and the salon is clean and not tacky like a lot of nail salons. However, I wasn't overly impressed with my services. I got the $65 deluxe pedicure. While I was getting my foot/leg massage, the tech used lotion. When the lotion was absorbed, the tech kept rubbing. It felt like someone was rubbing dry rubber gloves against my dry legs. And she wasn't wearing gloves at this time. Part of the deluxe includes "exfoliation". That consisted of sea salt scrub being placed on my legs, rubbed twice and rinsed off. I then moved on to my pink only fill. Which, I think my tech was a little perturbed about because she wanted me to have the pink AND white fill, which I didn't need; I didn't have my nails cut down so there was no need for pink and white fill. When it was all over, my feet were soft and the polish was pretty. My nails looked pretty good, too. And again, everyone was pretty nice. But for $114 with the tip I included (that was for the deluxe pedi, pink fill and tip), I think I'll go someplace else next time. Oh, and there's a surcharge if you use your debit or credit card, which the merchant passes on to the customer. But they do have that listed prominently and didn't try to hide it. Plus, my tech allowed me to pay with a check to avoid the charge. I ended up paying it because when I wrote the check, I failed to deduct it from the total but that was my fault and not the salon's. read more

After talking with a few of the employees it sounds like there is new management and they are very interested in what they can do to improve your experience.
