This is my family's favorite nail salon. I've been going since I was little and love it. Everyone is incredibly sweet and personal. They do speak broken English but I don't feel like it takes away from the quality of service they provide. The store is clean And pretty. The owners I always thought were very considerate. Went to get a pedicure. Lady with the short black hair and glasses missed many steps on my deluxe pedicure. One of which was putting lotion on my legs (which I paid for)When I pointed it out to her she had an attitude and smacked lotion on my legs not rubbed smacked. How insulting!!!!!! I came in to get gel polish in my natural nails and a pedicure 9/26 and of course they talked me into getting a manicure for $10 extra so i said sure. While the lady was trimming my dead cuticle skin, she clipped to far down which caused me to bleed. I was slightly turned off since it was a pretty nice size wound. The man doing my toes seemed unsure of how to cut and truly pedicure toes and his work was sloppy. I leave and the VERY NEXT DAY, my GEL polish was chipping off multiple fingers which never happens. I went in to get it fixed and the lady seemed VERY upset that she had to redo the polish. She filed some of the gel off very hard , especially over the one finger she cut the day before until i had to tell her to watch it. They ended up looking very bulky and uneven and within 3 days, the polish was yet again coming off. I will never return here and I'm mad i wasted $70 here. read more

Firstly the place didn't feel clean. I had fruit fly sitting on my leg and saw the broom was right behind my chair. Old chairs and equipments. We got the deluxe pedicure which is most expensive but we were told its great and it gives you longer and relaxing massages, callus removal and wax mask. The callus removal was basically rubbing with sponge. Sugar scrub was followed by nail paint and when I asked what about the lotion or massage he said that was it, he massaged with the scrub, which was also pretty lame! I have never seen anyone apply mask more lazy, it was just in middle of my calf area and not even applied properly. For nail paint they don't even apply base coat. Just one coat of nail paint and top. Lazy work I tell you. Bad service! Will not recommend at all for a relaxing pedicure. read more

I went to Nail Tek to save time from going to my usual place. I had a funny feeling while my SNS nails were getting done. It just didn't feel right. It felt like he was rushing through it, not the quality experience I get from my usual place. The morning after I got my manicure, one of my nails popped off. I mean, snapped right off like it was put on with Elmer's glue. I didn't have time to go ask them to fix it, because I'm on the way out of town. I plan on going back to ask for a refund. SNS nails are supposed to last for at least 2 weeks, so 1 day is unacceptable. The application is also uneven and doesn't cover my whole nail in some spots. Bad quality, especially for a $40 manicure. With the abundance of nail salons out there, this place needs to step up the quality to keep up with competition. read more

I under that I get regular nail polish but it should last more than 24 hours. The girl that did my nails was extremely rough even after saying multiple times that something would hurt. This used to be my favorite place for nails and lashes. Well I moved away and came back 7 years later only to find things have definitely changed. I went in to get my lashes done and the owner who used to do them wasn't there. Against my better judgment I allowed her "sister" to do them. I should have followed my first mind. Not only did she not give me what I asked for but my lashes look a mess. After not being able to convince her and the other woman that they didn't look good I paid and left. I tried to deal with it but after two days I grew sick of looking like I had spiders on my eyes. I called and asked for the owner only to be told she only comes in on Wednesday but she'll be on vacation for two weeks. I then tried to search for another shop but when I couldn't find another one I called back. I figured if I took a picture of exactly what I was looking for there's no way it could be messed up. I called and the woman on the phone told me to come on. I left my house and drove over only to be told by the second woman from the other day (while she was getting a haircut at the front desk no less)the tech had left. The owners husband and wife are very nonchalant and request payment in advance, which is always a signed that service is poor. 11/2/19. I requested a simple gel polish manicure on hands and polish change on toes. The owner misunderstood and simply did gel polish removal. I stated again no gel polish manicure. She left the salon and gave me over to a staff member who did not speak English at all. He kept pointing and nodding as if he understood. I ask for someone that spoke English. They all pretended to not know what I was asking. So annoying. Needless to say the gel polish was applied messy and I didn't get my toes changed. Wasted an hour of my life dealing and paying for foolishness. You did note that I paid up front. $23 - 13 for the removal and an additional $10 for the gel polish. I thought that I would continue to try this place out. I won't go back. First I had baby powder on my feet that I put in my shoes to stop my shoes from screeching. The short hair Asian woman came over and yelled and said "pulled you pant legs up " and then said your feet are dirty. And grimaced.. I was shocked. I was professionally dressed and always am and my feet were not dirty or ashy. I then said back to her "I am sure you have seen dirty feet before". But this is baby powder. She just remembers I asked for a fillin a year ago and I told her I like polish all the way up to my cuticle. She said everybody likes It a little under the cuticle. and I said I don't. I don't see why I should pay to have a fill in and it looks like I need a fill in. Ste never came back from that. So she is continually rude and I continue to see the best person in there. Quan, and his wife and Peter. I was referred here but to add fuel to the fire. I saw a 75-year-old woman tell this same short hair Asian woman owner that she had an appt and drove all the way beyond the airport for an appointment in Smyrna and they told her she still would have to wait an hour and she said she has been coming here for a lot of years and Asian woman/owner said "you have to wait". It meant nothing to her - repeat customers rewards for loyalty and customer service is non existent. She is rude. They should go out of business or let someone have it who is good with people. No one needs to give hard earned money to keep someone in business who is disrespectful to the people feeding her. I won't be back this time. read more

This place is nice and clean inside. We also got quick service for 2 people as walk-ins for a mani/pedi. The staff was friendly and they did a pretty good job. The prices are quite reasonable. My biggest complaint was that they did a more expensive pedi than the one I requested, and then I felt obligated to pay for it. Also, my nails were done too quickly and after 10 minutes under the lamp/fans, the polish slid right off my nails within minutes of leaving. And all I did was gingerly pull my keys out of my purse! I would return, but only when I can afford/need a gel polish on my fingers. Regular polish just doesn't cut it for me anymore. It is also a good place for a pedi, but I would make extra sure they don't upsell you without your knowledge. **Update: forgot to mention how the lady who did my fingernails had used a high-grit nail file to grind down the surfaces of my nails (not the edges, the actual surface). This bothered me a bit, but I rolled with it. Fast forward a few days, and my nails began breaking off way below the "line" (not sure what you call that in humans. In dogs, it's the quick or nail bed). I have very strong nails that almost never break, and I can grow them to pretty much any length I desire, so this is pretty unusual. I can only blame it on that strange choice to grind my nails down. Docking them another star down to 2 stars. Probably won't return at this point. read more

I went in last night for a much needed mani/pedi. This shop was recommended by my aunt, who has pretty high standards, so I figured I should check it out. The service was amazing, I got a deluxe mani/pedi with gel polish on my fingernails. The color looks very shiny and smooth, like it did when I used to get acrylic nails. I usually chip my nails the very next day, but so far so good. Everyone was very good, and the lady who worked on my feet, bless her heart, was very thorough. They also did not cut my nails down too far or mess up my cuticles, which is a problem I have had in the past at other shops. For the mani/pedi with gel polish it was $53. They also do eyelash extensions for $70 which is much cheaper than other places. (The eyelash extensions are a strand by strand eyelash extension not to be confused with the strips or the "individual" lashes [which are actually two or three lashes together] ) One of the nail techs had her eyelashes done and they looked very natural. I will go back in a few weeks to try it out. read more

This was a horrible experience! First the chair felt like it was beating me up and down my spine. I brought my own color and the guy kept trying to get me to put glitter on my nails. I had to tell him to wash his hands after he wiped his nose on the back of his hand and up his arm and then attempted to massage my arm. I watched as they just put the nail and cuticle cutters back into the drawer without sanitizing them... they kept rushing me and when I got a chance to look at my nails they were HORRIBLE!!!! I enjoyed my experience here overall . Clean professional nail salon with friendly , English speaking nail techs. I waited for about 7 mins which is good since I didn't have an appointment. After taking a look around and seeing how everyone else that was getting serviced , nails were really cute I felt more at ease as I chose this place on a hunch . I spent hour and a half on acrylic removal, spa pedicure #2 with gel , and gel manicure which I can't complain because I've spent more time in nail salons WITH and appointment on just a full set. I had to say good bye to my acrylic nails because I was honestly fed up with the hit or miss encounters with various nail techs across the city . I love my basic , natural gel nails , they had a good selection for colors so I had a lot of options. Vu or Wu did my pedicure and Quan did my gel mani . Quan was one of the highlights of my service , he was super friendly , informative, and gentle while also caring about my natural nail salon when removing my acrylics . I have been here four times, since the ladies in my neighborhood like it, and keep encouraging me to go back. I have been underwhelmed every time. The first time, I got someone so inexperienced, he did not know how to wrap my feel with the plastic for the callus treatment, or with the hot towel. He tried twice, then the guy doing my friend's feet had to help him. The polish also got all over my toes! The next time, the young lady kept getting her hair in the soaking water, then it would stick to my legs. Ew! So unsanitary! I can't believe she didn't pull it back, or at least brush it over her shoulders. I had to go home and wash my legs! The third time, the woman cut my cuticles so badly, she had to put some green stuff on them to stop the bleeding. I had scabs for three weeks - not at all what a nice pedicure should look like! The fourth time was adequate, and the only reason they got 2 stars instead of 1. The guy was professional, and I actually got done at the same time as my friend, rather than her having to wait 10-15 minutes for my slow person to be done! The service is very hit or miss. If you find someone you like, go, it is clean, but otherwise, look for someplace where all the technicians are trained on how to do pedicures. Clearly they are not at Nail Tek. read more

Nothing wrong with the place, I was the first customer of the day and it was clean and for a simple polish removal a basic manicure and clear nail polish it was 17 USD. Cant complain. It was fine. I totally love this place. I have traveled all all the world and can never find the pedicure i get at this location. I now live in florida and everytime i come back to Atlanta, i make my way back here. I pay 35 for a pedicure where each of my feet and legs are exfoliated, masked, dipped in paraffin and are wrapped in hot towel individually. Not a hot towel dropped on my legs to wipe them down. Went to tek nail on the 29th to get my eyelashes done, it was my first time going and wanted to try them out which was a bad idea because had a very unpleasant experience. Got there was told to follow one of the guys to a room where they do the lashes. Went there and he was extremely rude. Talking to me with an attitude and looked clueless and untrained. Spent about 10 minutes trying to find for medium lashes just to tell me they only had long ones. I decided to just get the long ones and try something New. But He did a terrible job, put way to many eyelashes one on top of the other all over the place,very messy, he was very unprofessional and the lashes looked just very very bad.
