We were coming in town for a wedding and didn't have time to get our nails done ahead of time so I asked my cousin who lives in Cary where we could go. This was one place that she recommended. It was easy to get reservations when we wanted, and easy to move the time up when we got in early. They were very nice, very professional, and we were very happy with our nails. My only issue was the price. $102 for a manicure with cat eye polish and a gel fill in. This is a lot more than we pay in Chicago. But it was for a wedding so it was ok. read more

The first time I came here I got a gel manicure on my real nails. The gel manicure only lasted a week and a half before it started chipping. I thought maybe it was something I did so I decided to give this place another chance but i was mistaken. I got a fresh set of acrylic nails and the lady talked me into using builders gel she stated it would last longer than regular acrylic and other Benefits. If I sit here typing everything that happened at the solan it would be to much. Long story short my nails are chipping AFTER A WEEK, and lifting. I paid almost $100 for my nails and the man who did my feet didn't even give me no hot water soak or anything they just rushed me in and out. read more

I just had a fabulous pedicure with the best treatment. Alannis took great care of me and did a meticulous job. I had a Groupon for a luxury pedicure and the normal price is $40. You get all the perks of the basic plus paraffin wax and extra scrub. They have OPi polish and very nice and comfortable massage chairs. I called ahead to make an appointment and they also take walk ins. I also like how they are open on Sundays. They are located near the Harris Teeter and Jersey Mike's. I will definitely come back. They have safety measures in place with extra shields snd masks and sanitizer. read more

The staff was very nice in accommodating walk-ins even though they were busy and scheduled to get busier with appointments. The nail tech was great at making sure to get out ingrown toenails rather than ignore them like most places do. However, the gel polish on my fingernails started to chip within 3 days of getting them done, now multiple fingers have chipped just a few days later. I spent way too much money for these to have chipped already. That being said, I would probably give them another chance since the staff was nice and it was a fairly clean environment. read more

I really just want to find a nail place that will be awesome at Manhattan prices. Why is this so difficult in North Carolina's suburbia? This strip mall nail salon seemed to be what I was looking for. Nail polish colors are lacking, but I'm here, so let give it a shot....I walked in at 1pm on a Sunday and waited in the pedicure chair for 45 minutes before someone came to work on my toes. My piggies are pruned! One of the nail techs quickly filed my fingernails in between working on someone else's feet (and chatting on the phone). I have mixed feelings on having my nails done the same time as my pedicure. I can appreciate it if I'm in a rush, but when the hubby tells me he'll watch the kiddo so I can have a few hours to myself, I really want to milk those hours for all its worth. $25 for basic pedicure, basic may be the understatement of the year... Pedicure took 15 mins- I was sitting in the chair for 45 mins before that. Gel manicure is $25- but charge me only 20- they gave me a 5 dollar discount for having to wait long. Friendly staff, but overall, still not what I'm looking for. The search continues. read more

I stopped in on a Friday to get a pedicure. I figured it was a great way to end my long week and to start my weekend. The staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful. The callus treatment that you pay $5 extra for was pretty skimpy, as was the leg/foot massage. Let's be honest, how many of us go especial for these options? I'm perfectly capable of painting my nails (hands and toes) at home but wanted to feel pampered. I came on a whim while visiting from out of town over Mother's Day weekend. I tried two other salons that were fully booked before ending up at Nail Tek. While they were busy, they said they could fit me in for a gel manicure and nail repair after a 10 minute wait. I had the best gel manicure of my life from Don. He was meticulous and rechecked and fixed everything several times after each step in the manicure. I had a snag on the side of one nail and he put gel over the nail to let it grow out before putting on the gel polish and somehow it's the same thickness as all my other nails. Almost two weeks later and my nails still look phenomenal. I highly encourage you to book an appointment with Don if you're in the area! read more

Tried to find a good nail place in the area. Read the reviews and only saw good things. The lady who did my nails seemed to be a perfectionist, I was happy at first but then she cut up four of my fingers when filing my nails: when filing my pinky she sliced the side of my finger. I left the salon with dried blood on four of my fingers. She said sorry and just smiled. Pretty disappointed. Probably will not be returning. read more

Been there twice, BOTH times horrible!! Went there last week to get shellac removed and a regular manicure. Was told would "be a few minutes" made me wait over 15. DID NOT remove my shellac manicure fully AT ALL, told her to "trim" my nails-made them all different lengths, some were round, some square. Had me pay before putting polish on (no big deal-pretty standard) and when I paid with a card left the tip line blank since I had cash. She rushed through the polish and did a horrible job, missed the sides of multiple nails! Will never go back again read more

WORST MANICURE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. Myself and a friend went here because it was right by our Apartment. We are both working women and wanted a nice manicure done. I have never received such a half-a$$ed, cheap looking manicure. They barely cut my cuticles, the lady put my hand in water for a minute, she filed my nails completely uneven and crooked and then slopped on enough nail polish for 12 manicures. I have always been told I look 'young for my age'... the lady asked my friend what HIGH SCHOOL she went too... she was floored; over 10 years removed from HS. To treat a client that way is horrible.
