Don't be lured by their cozy building facade. This one is not flexible if you have something that came up. I say do not show up at all if you won't make it coz you will hear how upset they are and will charge you for missing, a rule you didn't sign up for. Even if you called you needed to reschedule to allow them to pick up another walk when you are stuck with something. You show up to keep your word but you feel harassed for their set rules. It is unfortunate. I will support another small business that has empathy to their customers! This has poor communication of their ridiculous rules and you know it is all about the $$$! Is it really worth it to get this kind of review and lose customers? I am giving a 1 star just for the poor employee who diligently dug on my nails and deserves the only positive part of my ordeal...but for the atmosphere their administration created without legal consent, this is a red flag. He couldn't understand I didn't want these press on nails, I wanted acrylics. He said one they would last just as long and were cheaper. I spent 75 bucks for them to last 6 whole days. I could have gotten the same press on nails at Walgreens for 10 dollars. Not to mention my sister got her toes done and he cut her bad 3 times. Her toes were bright red and bleeding when we walked out. She's been using antimbacterial cream all week hoping it doesn't get infected.​ All around not a relaxing experience. read more

Very disappointed with this salon's work ethic and overall quality. The service felt rushed and careless, especially after I had already tipped. It's unacceptable for the quality of work to drop simply because payment has been secured. The nails were poorly done, lacked attention to detail, and looked unfinished. A client should never feel like they're getting a "half effort" service. Tipping is meant to show appreciation--not invite laziness. Being family-owned is not an excuse for unprofessionalism. A business is still a business, and customers deserve consistent, diligent, and high-quality service from start to finish. This salon needs more training, more accountability, and a stronger commitment to professionalism. Right now, the lack of care and precision shows. Hands down the best nail place in Alaska. Been to a few places and this place is always amazing. Have had different nail techs and all of them have attention to detail. They are always busy every time I have come in, but they don't rush you either. The basic pedicure is anything but basic with all the relaxation and massage that is included. I finally decided to give Nail Time a try last month for a gel manicure and didn't hesitate to go back for another one and added in a gel pedicure! On a Saturday morning, I was able to drop in without an appointment and they got me in for a gel manicure in mere minutes. The place was pure hustle at both the manicure and pedicure stations! There are large televisions playing a movie on both sides of the salon. Outside walls are lined with a few dozen pedicure chairs with the center being lined with manicure stations. Colors.... Sooooo many colors to choose from too!! Gel, dip, whatever you want! Mari did my original manicure and it was fabulous! It lasted the full three weeks and the only chip in it was because I broke a nail! I wanted to go back to her, but she was out this week! I love that most of the entire staff is related; approximately 95% of them are family! I made an appointment for gel manicure/pedicure and my day ended up getting a little out of whack and I decided to stop in four hours before my scheduled appointment to see if there was any way for me to get in early and in mere minutes, I was taken back to the pedicure station and after that, handed off to a different manicurist. Both were excellent and I'm quite pleased. Downside... $30 extra for a gel pedicure, which makes no sense to me since it takes less time than standard polish. Hmph! I'm not going to dock a star, but I don't love the little kids running around. Most recently there was a child riding around on a little tricycle throughout the whole shop, even going behind the manicure stations and it was a clear distraction for everyone, as they were having to move their chairs as they were getting bumped into. Anywho, I'm very pleased with their service and will continue to go in for manicures! read more

This is a monster huge salon with many chairs and stylists. I'd say 40 pedi/mani chairs and I usually see more than a dozen technicians. I just go in and let them go crazy on my nails without much care, so I'm pretty satisfied. Mrs. E. on the other hand, has to have things a bit more accurate, mostly for her job. The dip polish they use doesn't last very long and isn't that resistant. That's a big problem. It might be the uv light they use dries out the adhesive. Idk. They are working on this. A few of the stylists are incredibly talented and equally as quick. Which makes it all bittersweet. Some girls cannot do extensions, some cannot do certain polishes, so be sure to check first. Also, one day they may be assigned to pedis only while others are mani only for that day. If this matters to you, verify at the time you schedule your appointment. 03/23 read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Me and my cousin went to this spa, her Mom was treating us to getting acrylics and it was my first time, so I was excited!! We were upset, but we just went with it, because they were obviously annoyed as it was. The staff was rude and not polite at all. The lady doing my nails started off roughly. She was guessing of what I wanted, even when she saw the picture. She was rough, and she did the thing I hate most. Pushed back my cuticles. She was not talkative and I was in awkward silence the whole time. I was so excited to see my nails, and let me tell you. I was EXCITED. It was my first time. Later, I realized it was a scam. We finished, and we went to pay. We had my Aunts card, so we went to pay, and we payed $202.48. FOR UNEVEN, BAD LOOKING, CHEAP, USUALLY $60 NAILS. They also didn't give any info on how to remove them, we tried with what the internet said, but apparently we did it wrong. They refused to refund us for their regular price, and they took advantage of me and my cousin. We were only 11 and 12. My Dad took me in the car to every nail place in town, but they were all closed. I needed to get it off before school the next day, so we ended up going to Nail Time and Spa before they closed. Luckily, they had one more guy there who was able to get it off and help me. He was amazing. But let me tell you, they are never getting our money again. read more

I'm giving 3 stars, but if I could review the girl who did my pedicure, I'd give her 5 stars. However, not the establishment. My sister just gave birth so we (me and 2 of my sisters) wanted to get pedicures. You know- some mom pampering since her body got destroyed while being my a life into existence. We made a reservation for the 3 of us and when we got there there was only one person available. Our appointment was at 5:30, but they weren't ready for us until about 5:45. The girl got started on me while my 2 sisters just sat there in their chairs for about 30 more minutes. Then my sister's boobs started to leak and she had to leave to go home and pump... something that wouldn't have been a problem If they started her pedicure when our appointment was. I will say that my pedicure was one of the best I've ever had. To the girl who did it, if you're reading this, you're too good for that place. Go forth and move onto bigger and better things. I'm not even from Alaska- just visiting my sister- but I would follow you to the ends of the earth. I've never been so relaxed during a pedicure because I have some weirdo disease called ten toe dystrophy which causes my toes to be hypersensitive. BUT that's besides the point. All that to say, you are a wonderful land mermaid. ANYWAYS- we were very disappointed to by the delay of service, as well as the attitude of some of the other employees there. You could tell that they were just trying to get things over with to go home. They shouldn't have booked our appointments if they couldn't accommodate us. I will say, though, that they had a big bowl of candy in the front. That was nice. I grabbed a handful and shoved it in my purse. I felt I deserved it. read more

Ive been there a grand total of 4 times. Today's visit was not top notch. I had an appt today at 11 and was flip flopped between three people. I tried to explain to them that I needed a gel fill with gel polish. At first, they didnt understand that I had a gel set done because it was done very thin and didnt look like there was an overlay (which I like it very thin) so in order for them to figure it out they had to take the polish off to realize it WAS actually a gel overlay, even though they checked my account. Ben started to take off the polish, then switched me to his mom to finish me off. Okaii, what's the point in having an appointment when I'm being passed off to different people. She was nice, but very rough. I was then passed off to Ben again to do the design, which he had to stop working on his client to do my design, and that experience was very rushed. I liked my first technician when I first came in, and it's my fault for not requesting her, but I couldn't remember her name. For the amount I pay for both my daughter and I, I would expect a little better. My nails this time are thick and look like they already need a fill, I asked the lady to smooth out one spot and she said she wasn't finished, that spot is still there! Wow. That's all I can think of to say. I came in after work to get a pedicure and they make you give them your phone number to put into their computer system. When giving my name to the "young gentlemen" aka punk kid son of the owners, he told me how awful my last name is and how sorry he was that my last name is what it is. Um, WHAT? If you're going to bring your entire family, babies and all to your business, you should make sure they know how to talk to customers. I was actually shocked he said that. Also, the owner gave me my pedicure and was trying to pressure me into getting the deluxe because my "skin is dry and I need it." No thanks! They are just very unprofessional and rude all around, and it's sad because there aren't a lot of nail salon options in Eagle River. I don't get how they are even somewhat busy. EDIT: because I didn't even wait until my pedi was done to submit this. He didn't give me a massage, even after I asked about it and he said yes. Also, he filed my big toe nails down to the skin, which already hurt, and then when he used nail polish remover to fix my nails (which did nothing because there's polish all over) I flinched because it stung my raw skin. He then snapped at me to not do that because he didn't want to have to redo my nails! I will never be back!!! read more
