I went to get a full set the other day and the lady that did my nails was rude and when I didn't like the color and she said it was two late. Will never go back

I come here whenever I need a basic set because I usually go elsewhere to get a SET set (long nails with designs). I've been seeing Tina on and off for a while and she's always gentle with me and makes sure I leave satisfied. She'll have you in and out. She's also great with pedicures from my experience.

In love with the shape!!! Look at how neat and even! This photo was taken the next day.

This is the only nail salon in the mall that does good nails!! I went in yesterday after finally giving up on the other two salons located at the mall. Tina did my nails. She was quick neat and efficient! I got gel polish with stiletto tips. I had SNS with tips on. I'm so incredibly happy I found Nail Trix!

The finished product for a gel fill in.

This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. The nail tech, Michele, had an attitude and was rough with my hands, the man who seemed to be the manager with obnoxious with his staff. He held an argument in another language with an employee who was apparently late. That's all I understood. The nail job was horrible. I tried to go back so she could fix a nail she incorrectly "filled" and I got some more attitude and got blew off by the manager. I wish I would of checked the reviews before I went there but I was in a rush to get my nails done before reporting for work. I just got here and am still looking for a good nail salon.

That's how he let me leave the nail shop run from this place

The owner was called himself X-Men destroyed my nails a day before Mother's Day hit me $30 for a polish change and I told him Fills cost 18 he treat me like a dog left me in the midst of doing my nails like 15 times he was so rude and so ignorant I don't even know how the shop is still there he needs to go out of business all of his nail polishes are stale I have never met a more ruder man and then told me he was going to, security on me because he filed my nails sideways so then he started clipping them off and I had to leave a day before Mother's Day with my nails all broken

This was the day after the manicure.

I had my wedding workup (Mani/Pedi, eyebrow wax) done here and while it looked fabulous for a day I certainly would hesitate about coming back. My biggest issue was with the manicure. The woman took forever and it seemed like she was constantly interrupted to man the front desk. She barely trimmed/filed down my nails during prepping, which is something of a concern given my nails are naturally a little rounded which left a huge gap between the false nail and my regular nail. That's a big no-no since that can be a breeding ground for germs. Also she barely touched the cuticles and then to top off the prep work barely filed/scored my left hand nails in prep for the full set. Shoddy prep work and shoddy work after that too. Gaps where I could see my nail, super glue left on my cuticles, places where they didn't even get polish on, also the nails on my right were longer than my left. Thank god I got this done the day before my wedding because the day after that you could see large pockets where the nail had started to come up. I could only stand it a few days longer when, on my honeymoon, I hunted down acetone nail polish and removed them myself. The Pedi seemed to be fine though I didn't get as much time in as my sister, mainly because my manicure took so long. Eyebrow wax was fine too, though the room was a little iffy compared to the rest of the salon, I will probably go back in a few months to have my brows done again. The full set was too expensive for the quality, pedi and wax seemed reasonably priced though.

Gel color 1 week after my mani...still looks good, I think !
    Abigail L.

I don't think this place is as bad as everyone thinks...I mean there's room for improvement, but my gel color has been on for a week now with no problems-and my toes still look great...so I can't complain. I was a little uncomfortable with the instruments they were using because some of them weren't in sterile bags...so it made me feel weird...and the nail dude did make my fingers sore for two days after (he trimmed skin under my nails by my fingertips, which no one has done before and I feel wasn't necessary)...either way-I won't come here REGULARLY but will if I need service fast and am too lazy to go to my usual place (lol the mall is like right across the street from me)

I was a walk-in because I was told that there would be plenty of places between the hours of three and five. My aunt, a spirited, senior citizen and I wanted to get our pedicure and some overdue relaxation at a day spa nearby. Here are the pros: Greeted by a friendly nail technician and aesthetician Chloe There were ample chairs for pedicures, and several seats for nail services Beverages, snacks, and light cocktails were offered and automatically served (included) Children are welcomed for services and in the Salon parents are getting their services done (I am not sure if this is a policy, but I was definitely surprised to see a handful of children throughout the spa and quite a bit of noise from one child in particular) You can distinguish all of the technicians based on their uniform, a beautiful red spa technician's coat The massage chair and the steam therapy were amazing The holistic approach with real oranges, milk and natural soap was used throughout the pedicure experience The best part and totally put me to sleep, the aromatherapy neck, warming pillow, and the five minute massage (seated-neck-and-shoulders)I will be back every month for this in particular with Chloe) I wouldn't be honest if I didn't give you the cons: When I walked in the door, it was a very tight space for customers to enter an exit. I was nearly bumping into people signing in and exiting and coming in behind me. I wasn't sure what the sign-in process was supposed to be like, however, I had to ask. I walked through the spa and was pleasantly surprised that there were so many seats. Unfortunately, there were so many seats for people to have their nails and toes done that there were only a few seats for customers who had to wait. The price of the pedicure was fairly priced however, I felt like I was was pressured to into an up-charge and asked to go with gel polish When discussing my return to the salon, my aunt mentioned she would like to come back with her senior citizen, friends. The technician first stated that the typical price of a decent pedicure would be about $55, then she said it would be more like $65 and above above. This seemed like a lot for seniors. Vicky seemed to need step-by-step directions to complete the same pedicure. The outcome was amazing However, my Aunt had nail polish all over her feet because Vicky did not instruct her to sit and have her toes dried. When I was sitting near my aunt who was having her toes repaired after a polish debacle, I was asked to move from a seat that was needed by a customer. I could understand why I needed to move. however, the technician did not have to be so rude and to say to me "you need to move". I didn't catch her name, but she was in fact, pregnant on the day that I was in for my service. Vicky did not execute in the same way as Chloe she seemed to disregard the need for drying time of regular polish and started polishing my aunt's toes in the middle of the Salon that was outrageous and for that my aunt will not be back with her friends. I must confirm that I did pay in full and I did tip Chloe 20% and Vicky 20% of the cost we paid for our services. Finally, both technicians got tips, however I will only be able to recommend that customers who read this review, work with Chloe when consider considering this nail spa.

The technician was incredibly rude right from the consultation. I needed a full set and wanted a pedicure, too. When I tried to explain what I wanted for my feet, she became loud and told me not to "tell her what to do." I was simply trying to communicate my preferences, which is standard for any customer. She insisted I should just say "make it look good" and leave it at that. I felt embarrassed and nearly walked out mid-service. She also tried to talk me out of a pedicure, saying if I didn't like the way they were I should stop looking at my feet. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism at a nail salon. While the nails and feet did turn out looking nice, the bad attitude and complete lack of tact from the technician ruined the visit. A 2-star rating is generous, as the customer service here desperately needs improvement. While I do not recall the name of the technician, she sat in the second row from the front desk and on the right hand side.

I FINALLY FOUND IT FOLKS!!!…read more I've been going to Refresh Nail Spa since winter 2023, after searching for salons that offer drill-free manicures and focus on natural nail care like IBX treatments. I ended up finding Bernadette, an independent nail tech who works there--and she's been an absolute gem. While she does use a drill (contrary to what I originally searched for), she's incredibly skilled, gentle, and precise--so much so that it never damages my nails. Her technique is both efficient and mindful, striking the perfect balance between machine and hand filing. Initially, I was getting regular gel manicures, but Bernadette truly cares about nail health, and she suggested switching to builder gel (BIAB). It was a game-changer. Builder gel doesn't require soaking off and allows for continuous fills--meaning you can build on top of your last set without compromising nail integrity. Since switching, my nails have grown so long, strong, and healthy, and a single BIAB manicure can last me up to 6 weeks! Beyond nails, Bernadette is a wonderful person--easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. She also specializes in pedicures for clients with diabetes or other health conditions, which speaks volumes about her expertise and sensitivity to clients' unique needs. If you're looking for a thoughtful, health-conscious nail experience, I highly recommend Refresh Nail Spa and Bernadette in particular. My monthly visits have become something I genuinely look forward to.

I paid approximately $70 for a builder gel overlay manicure. Within just two days, one nail broke. I returned to the salon and they repaired it, explaining that it may have happened because my nails were short. Unfortunately, the problem didn't stop there. By day 12, several nails were lifting and flaking off. In my experience, a builder gel overlay should last significantly longer than that, especially at this price point. I returned to the salon before the two-week mark. Because they were busy, I told them I was fine with receiving a regular gel manicure instead of having the builder gel completely redone. I fully expected to pay something for the service, but I was surprised when I was charged full price despite the original builder gel overlay failing in less than two weeks. I didn't want to make a scene or put staff in an uncomfortable position, so I paid and tipped as usual. However, after I got home, I submitted a message through the salon's online contact form. I explained my disappointment, acknowledged that I had otherwise been happy with the salon, and stated that I wanted to continue as a customer. I simply felt that charging full price after a premium service failed so quickly was not a fair resolution. The salon never responded. To me, the lack of response was the most disappointing part of the experience. Nail services can occasionally have issues, and I would have been understanding if someone had simply acknowledged my concerns and attempted to make things right. Instead, I paid for a failed builder gel service, paid again for a replacement manicure, and received no follow-up whatsoever. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Stories Salon for nail services.

My niece's nails came out beautifully--very pretty and well done. The salon has been open for about a year. The ambiance was bright, vibrant, dainty, and elegant. Neutral white and gray walls were accented with colorful floral décor, and Eiffel Tower touches welcomed guests at the front check-in counter. In addition to nails, the salon also offers waxing, facials, massages, and eyelash extensions. Overall, it's one of the nicer salons I've been to, with reasonable prices. Unfortunately aside from my pedicure polish not being smooth, a nail from my manicure chipped two days later after my appointment. That said, I am unlikely to return. Perhaps I need to stick with gel polish to get better results.

One small thing that really bothers me is when the nail has some areas on the side where the acrylic on the nail bed doesn't completely connect with the acrylic on the tip, and these nails do NOT have that.
