This is my favorite nail salon. I've been going here for almost a year. I normally get my manicures and pedicures from Alex- who is amazing. She has helped me branch out from just getting a typical red nail polish manicure and trying something new (like designs). Oh, Sylvia and Jane are also great! I've had manicures from both of them as well. The prices are good and the atmosphere is wonderful. The shop is always very clean too. I've been going long enough that they know it's me when I call and everyone says "hi Rachel" when I walk in. I highly recommend this place to someone wanting to find a new nail salon. :) read more

I had Lisa for my pedicure and Sylvia for my manicure. They were both excellent and friendly. I smudged my big toe when I got a chill. Lisa said it was not problem and just fixed it for me with no additional charge. I mentioned to Sylvia I was not happy with the previous nail set I had done (not from them but a different salon) so she took the time to educate me on what would look better and last longer. The prices are the best I have seen in the area. $20 for a full set, $28 for a deluxe pedicure which includes a salt scrub. My feet have never been so smooth! The only reason I gave a 4 star is because the place could be cleaner. I was there for about 2 hours and I did not see them clean anything. I would expect a nail salon to have hospital like standards. That would be my only negative comment. Hopefully they will see this and make the place tidier. That said, I will definitely be returning for the prices and great customer service. read more

A good foot scrub and cheese grater thing experience can make a sub par polish job worth it! Overall, I am satisfied. I will definitely come back simply because my feet are actually smooth and not rough from a half-as$ed foot scrub. The ladies who work here are very pleasant, as well. They do gel manicures for only $20! My favorite manicurist is Vivian--she's so sassy, funny, and entertaining! This is a mainly Korean (as opposed to Vietnamese) nail salon and the ladies are so sweet and accommodating. They do a great job and you really can't beat the price. read more

I live on the other side of town but once I was visiting Carrollton and needed to get a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed, I looked this business up on yelp and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. I didnt make an appointment and had a very good experience. I was greater promptly and got to soak while waiting for someone to do my pedicure. Vivian helped me. She was very nice and did a good job on my pedicure. The massage chair was wonderful and she always did a great job on my eyebrow wax. I referred my friend who lives in that area to them also and will definitely be back when I am in the area in the future. Thank you very much. read more

I came here getting my nails done for a special occasion, I don't get them done often so I don't know exactly what I'm looking for. I have flat brittle nails and I wanted I little bit of length and square tips with the French manicure but it has to be Thin and natural looking for work. Sylvia suggested the next GEN nails. Ann applied the nails, she was super sweet and did a great job. Kim painted French manicure on my toenails and did a fabulous job, she was also very sweet. 100% recommend this place! All of the girls are so sweet but Jane is just adorable! They have a deluxe pedicure for $33 that other places charge over $40 for. Very fair prices and they have fixed nails for me that I accidentally ruined. Recently renovated with new massage chairs, definitely go check them out!! read more

Had a wonderful experience here, very friendly technicians. My friends and I unfortunately arrived late to our appointment and had to wait a bit but that was our own fault of course. I was in Nail World for the first time this morning and I will be going back FOR SURE. Vivian took care of my daughter and I really appreciated how careful she was with her and what a nice job she did on her toes (we were both there for pedicures). Hannah did my pedicure and I have to say, I have *never* had anyone do such a good job getting the calluses smoothed off my heels. My heels get really bad and the last two times I had a pedicure, they only made a stab at them; but left a lot of callus. Within the week, both times, I was battling heel cracks again. Hannah spent extra time on my heels today and they are as smooth as I could hope. The entire pedicure was great and, because my daughter picked a nail color that was glittery and didn't show up that well, they put on an extra coat so her toes would be extra sparkly. I thought that was nice. The folks that work there were friendly and nice and didn't seem in even a little bit of a hurry, even though other customers were there. Also, the price for our pedicures was extremely reasonable -- they should probably charge more. We will definitely be going back to Nail World. read more

I came here because I saw great reviews. I called ahead so I didn't have to wait. They seated me promptly. She looked at my nails I had solar and I told her I wanted them refilled. She said she could do it with a "dip" method. I had never heard of it and I asked if it was the same thing she said yes very similar. So she finished and they were terrible, uneven, VERY lumpy, and not consistent. After a few days they clear coat had started chipping off. The first time I was here was last year with my friend who needed to get her eyebrows waxed. I went back at another time to also get my eyebrows waxed. Sylvia did a real good job. The third time I went, I thought I should try getting my nails done. It's close by to my house and the prices are decent. I've been coming to see Sylvia ever since. Subpar at best, 2 stars because they're nice ladies. I went here because it was cheap but typical things pricier salons just include, they'd ask if you wanted and say "we charge $5" so I ended up paying about the same as I would elsewhere but definitely not the same quality of work you get elsewhere. Got a full set on Saturday and 2 nails are already gone on Monday. When I went to have them fixed she didn't charge me but said "make sure you're careful because I don't charge this time but next time I will because I can't keep doing for free"....okay, maybe stand behind your work and don't do a bad job lol? I do understand it's a business and needs to make money, but happy, returning customers make you more money in the long run than fixing a couple broken nails. Acrylic nails usually last at least 2 weeks on me and while I wont lie and say I'm not rough on my nails, I am, but seriously...2 days? I work on a computer all day so the only thing I do is type and fiddle with my nails while on the phone. When I first got them done I told her what I wanted and she didn't really listen. I kept having to ask her to file more and more because she was trying to leave my nails so wide when I like them narrow. When she fixed them today she had me dry them in front of the fan and it literally created ripples in the polish from the fan lol. When I mentioned it she told me it would "go away"....yeah, probably when I lose the nails in another 2 days. I wouldn't really recommend and most likely won't be back. Many reviews recommend Sylvia, I thought I was lucky to have her do my nails, actually it was a disaster!!! What happened to her?! She started in a hurry, my nails were shaped, smoothed, "cuticled" in 5 minutes!?? I am not complementing on how fast she finished it. Anyone had done their nails in a salon will understand, all these things could not be done that quick, if it is, then she must missed doing something. The truth is, she probably just cut cuticles on two or three of my fingers, most of the cuticles on my nails are still there, she did not push the cuticles at all, my nails are small, you want to cut the cuticles to make them bigger for nail painting, a nail professional don't know that common sense?? I highly doubt on her quality!! Also she did not trim any of my messy sided nails. Ah, I know why she was like that, she asked if this is my first time doing nails, I said yes, but come one! I mean I did gel nail on my toes before, and I did regular nail polish in the salon before, I just have not done a gel nail on my hand in a salon, that does not mean I know nothing about how to manicure your nails at a salon level!! Maybe because there is another client waiting for her? But that should not be a reason she could treat me, also her client, hastily! We picked a color on the color palette, it is a nude-ish pink, I would say the color is more nude than pink, but when she put the color on my nails it is totally baby pink! She kept saying when the color got dried, it would look less pink, and I believed her, but after 3 layers, it became pinker!! I started feeling that the color is not what I wanted, and when I took close look at my nails, they were terrible!! She did not paint the edge smoothly, the edge looks messy and lumpy. I can say her nail painting skill cannot compare with mine! I mean everyone can do this thing, it is not that difficult, and all you need is a little more patient, your attitude. .. I ended up with soaking all my fingers in the nail cleaner, and tearing the gels off. I was very disappointed, unsatisfied and unhappy. read more

Great place. I'd never been there before and I was in a rush (lunch hour) but I was in and out in 40 minutes! Sylvia was so sweet and didn't make me feel like she was rushing. I got the Gel manicure with white tips and it turned out great. I'll be going back! read more

I went in and got my nails done yesterday and already have a shellac chip completely ridiculous to pay $30 and it be chipped the very next day! I think it's due to her filing my nail after the the manicure because my nail was so crooked I asked twice if it would effect the shellac because I've gotten my nails done plenty of times she continued to insist it would not be ruined because she filed from the bottom.... unfortunately I don't live in town so I can't go back and get it fixed but I would never go back I only gave two stars because they had a very friendly staff and I got a great foot massage read more

This place has horrible customer service and lacks the skills it takes to call theirselves "NAIL WORLD". The nail tech ,Sylvia, did my full set French tip and within the next 2 days my nails were already lifting up around my cuticle area. They have a sign that states if you come back within 7 days of your original service they will fix your nails. I give them a call , then leave a voicemail and my concern is addressed 2 days after. Sylvia tells me to come in later. I come in, and she acts as if she does not see an issue with my nails and offers to only shape my nails up around the cuticle when it was clear that they had already started lifting well off into the middle of my nail bed. I continuously tried to attempt to press on my nails so she can see where they have risen off of my natural nail , but she is persistent that she doesn't see an issue. I was very professionally when addressing my unhappiness with my services provided but she did not seem too concerned on fixing my nails to ensure she kept a satisfied customer. I let her shave up and around my cuticle, which didn't fix my problem, and left because it was clear she wasn't going to properly fix them. This is my very last time visiting this nail shop. read more
