Nail World has been serving this community for the last 20 years. They'll always have availability for you. Their pricing isn't as egregious as other salons. It gets the job done. At the same time, there is a lot of room for improvement. Over the years, somethings have gotten better and other things have gotten worse. Bottom line is that if you need to get your nails done/get waxed and you live in HH, this is probably where you'll end up. Don't waste your time coming here. Whilst I think they are friendly people for the price, is not worth it. The quality of the nails suck.. everytime I've gone here I've always felt unsatisfied with the quality of my nails, not even two days of my nails been done and the paint already is chipping.. and they are gel btw.. same with my hands, they always leave bubbles in my nails and do sloppy work. Never coming back! I used to come here all the time -- this place used to be spotless, and the owner would personally greet you at the door. Now, you're lucky if anyone even acknowledges you. They just point for you to sit down. Most of the staff stand around chatting and even making fun of customers. They're rude, have no manners, and still expect a generous tip. The worst part is the older woman with black hair in a ponytail. She's extremely rude and rough -- she's even cut me and made me bleed during a service. And when I pointed it out, she just repeated, "It's okay, it's okay," as if nothing had happened. Are you kidding me? Totally unacceptable. This place has gone downhill. I have been coming to Nail World since I was 13 years old, and after all these years I can confidently say it is one of the best salons I have ever experienced. What keeps me coming back is not only the quality of the services, but the people who work there and the care they put into every appointment. Cory has been my brow specialist for about 7 years, and I truly cannot trust anyone else with my eyebrows. I am extremely picky when it comes to my brows, but Cory always listens carefully to exactly what I want and consistently delivers perfect results. She takes her time, pays attention to detail, and somehow manages to shape them exactly the way I envision every single time. Having someone you trust with your brows is priceless, and Cory is absolutely amazing at what she does. For pedicures, I always love seeing Mandy and Helen. Mandy is incredible when it comes to cuticle care and callus treatments. She is so thorough and gentle, and my feet always feel completely refreshed and taken care of afterward. Helen is a true perfectionist when it comes to nail shaping and polish. She takes such pride in her work and always makes sure everything looks flawless before you leave the chair. A few years ago, I used to get acrylics every three weeks from Vicky, and she always did a beautiful job. My nails were consistently strong, well-shaped, and exactly how I wanted them. Both Vicky and Michael, the owners, are wonderful people who clearly care about their customers and their business. They have created such a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. The salon itself is always clean, well-maintained, and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing, the staff is professional and kind, and the prices are extremely reasonable for the level of quality you receive. After being a loyal client for so many years, I truly cannot recommend Nail World enough. Had a terrible experience coming here with my daughter and niece they are very young it was their first time getting a mani pedi. The ladies doing their nails didn't say two words to them. One of the ladies got up during my daughter's pedicure and didn't come back for at least 10 minutes. Didn't say a word when she came back either. Not one person offered me a seat I had my 5 month old baby in his carrier on me. They were unprofessional. It was an unwelcoming vibe I was very surprised on how many people were there. So many nail techs walking around no one smiling no one was talking. Only the workers talked amongst themselves in a foreign language never to anyone else. Gives trafficking vibes. Unpleasant experience for my sweet girls first time. And gosh I almost forgot to mention it was SOO dirty in there ! Want fast nail service. This is definitely a good spot. The vibe is definitely nail salon factory, not luxury spa, which is fine. However, if you want luxury styled nails that look more like your own or trying to get specialized designs/styles, this is not the spot. Original set, looked ok. First refill, my thumb ended up with a wave and acrylic ended up being really thick. Second refil, I brought this up to be addressed and was told it could be fixed. Nails ended up even thicker, odd as I did not request a 3D design. There is a fee to use CC. read more

Amazing service and do beautiful job at my nails!! I am used to getting press ons but ever since getting gel x sets here I will never go back. The owner is so so kind, welcoming, and SO talented and I love getting my nails done by her. Not only is it exceptional quality and I feel my nails are cared for and healthy, but the service is also timely and efficient. If I could give 0 stars I would. This nail salon is not clean and they also don't respect what you ask for and I overall had the worse experience and will never go back. Twice i got the same rude lady and thought maybe she was having a bad day. I asked for shorter nails and she told me no twice. Then the second encounter I asked her to take my nail off 3 times and was also told no. She then proceeded to use the electric filer and then cut me! I was told she didn't want to take the nails off because she had an appointment and was rushing. Don't go here it's not worth your money, time and sanity. read more

My daughter and I visited the salon for the first time today and we couldn't be more happy. We both had gel pedicures and my daughter had a gel-x full set. The owner was absolutely charismatic and professional. She did a fantastic job with my daughter's nail. My daughter continues to compliment her work of art. Do NOT come here. I deeply regret not leaving as soon as I walked in, I was sat and saw trash/ dirty floor. I immediately thought "that's not a good sign" But I really needed my gel x nails taken off before heading into work so I stayed. It was a disaster The water was first freezing cold then boiling hot. And I mean HOT. I love a Jacuzzi or good hot foot soak but man that burned my skin! The man just laughed and said sorry and I again.. thought about leaving but didn't because I wanted to give them a try. While taking off my gel polish on my foot with the drill, I immediately felt the nail tech cut my toe. It was pretty minor but as anyone knows in these situations , every time they used the acetone I felt the burn. I picked the color 040 which was a dark burgundy, she painted them bright red and when I looked at her astonished and annoyed that that wasn't the color I picked she said "sorry we don't have that color I tried to mix two other ones" And I was like ? Why wouldn't you tell me you don't have it? She just smiled and said sorry I ended up picking a similar one but I was so annoyed she really just tried to paint my toes cherry red and act like it was okay when I clearly wanted a wine color? Next was the manicure, which was even worse. She dipped my hand in acetone which she had put in a bowl, which was inside another larger bowl filled with hot water. When I dipped my fingers in I felt the heat and then she put a towel over it and it felt like I had my hand over a stove I took my hand out and said "ouch that's hot!" She just smiled and tried to put my hand back in ???? I took my hand out and said it is HOT . No ! She looked confused and then tried to put my hand in AGAIN. This time she finally took the smaller bowl out and I genuinely wanted to get up and leave but I stayed really hoping this would get better. She asked if I wanted my nails filed or cut, I said just filed because my nails had grown out quite a bit under the GelX . She then started filing and was distracted by the whole toe color fiasco that I realized she hadn't asked the shape I wanted She had filed my left hand into a square shape and I said "hey I'm sorry I didn't want that I wanted almond" And she said "yeah I didn't ask. Sorry I'll do that now though" I was astonished because I've never had a nail tech just decide my nail shape for me? It was so annoying and now my nails would be even shorter because of her mistake and need to refile them. She then asked if I wanted to wax my eyebrows as they were over grown and I said no I get them threaded (and no WAY I was letting them near my face after everything else) Also , how rude ? Finally the nightmare was over. Or so I thought. Today (the day after) I was experiencing a lot of soreness in my fingers and realized She overcut my cuticles so much that my fingers were throbbing ! I just moved to hacienda and have been trying different nail spots to replace my beloved spot in Torrance.. I haven't had any luck yet but didn't feel the need to review the other spots as they just weren't my cups of tea, not great but not bad.. but THIS by far was the worst experience I've ever had in my life. I don't recommend anyone coming here. From the broken massage chairs that don't work to the nice cockroach I saw on my way out. This place needs to be shut down for how dirty it was and nail techs that all clearly don't know what they're doing. Would give 0 stars if I could read more

My mom also goes to her and Shu ( nails ) , every experience there is just the best . Very relaxing . They need 10 more Helen's . If you are looking for a new place. I have been a client of this salonfor several years. Shu who does my manicures and Cory who does my pedicures are a fantastic team. Shu is an expert at acrylic nails. Mine are always perfect and they never break or chip. She is a true artist and the flowers she paints on my nails bring me complimenrs every where I go. Cory is also an expert. She keeps my feet in great shape and my toe nails are always perfectly shaped and painted. Her leg massages are gentle but firm and invigorating. Extremely pleased with this salon. I was caught in the gel x fill hamster wheel and I wanted to grow out my nails. I waited as long as I could and the gal here toon her time removing everything and then gave me just a gel mani and I am so happy. She was Careful and patient and she didn't try to poison/murder me with chemicals or aggressive grinding, she did it layered by layer, carefully. I also got a pedi (wonderful) and a brow wax (clean up, I'm low maintenance in that dept) all three services were great and the price was reasonable. I wish I had more cash on me so I could tip more. Originally I went here as a pit-stop on the way to my aunts it's about 30 minutes from home, but I might have to go back. read more
