I have been going to Nailology for a few years now and for the most part the service has been good. However, my regular nail tech is out for a while and I've had to be serviced by other techs. There is one in particular Alley, whoI suggest that you not utilize. She is rude, her work is subpar and she tries to add on unnecessary fees to increase her payment amount. She is a crook! Watch your receipt. Too bad the shop gets a poor rating because of the trash that they are now allowing to work there. Hannah is great, book with her if you must go there. Sis wanted to treat me for my birthday so we went here based on recommendation. Sadly, the girl we wanted to book was no longer there, so we went in blindly. While the owner/manager (a gentleman) was super sweet + kind to us, asking me how my nail shaped looked and just walking by during the pedicure to see if we needed anything, that was probably the highlight of the experience. I must have "please send me a grandma technician" stuck on my forehead, because almost every time I go to a nail salon with someone, I get stuck with a grandma. In sloth mode (Slow), took forever to do my pedicure, then to only graze her hand over my undried pinky toe, messing it up, she had already put my sandals back on at this point, and proceeded to dab acetone onto her finger as it dripped over and down my sandals, and dabs it with her finger to fix the smudge, and then reapplies it. No wonder I went with their basic pedicure, phew!... I also don't like that they try to do your nails the same time they do your toes. We're paying for two separate services, and unless requested to do both at the chair, it should always be treated as two separate services and nails should be done at the table. So I requested that my nails be done separately, but then they started to get really busy, so I could tell that my technician was rushing, and boy did I see the results of her rushing...my shellac was poorly painted, and some edges of my nail weren't even fully polished... I won't be returning, but I also do see that many nail shops (post COVID-19) have been struggling to retain nail technicians, and so for this reason, they cannot handle the client load that walks in, and many are really emphasizing making appointments ahead of time, while most of the time, it was always walk-ins welcome. These days, for the really consistently good ones, they require appointments ahead of time, and are pretty strict about it. read more

I'm really pretty disappointed with this place. I've been here two other times when they've done such a good job and I've tried other places in the area and this was just the best so I came back. Yesterday I had an appointment at 4:30, waited 20 minutes for them to even start the pedicure and then they didn't use exactly the color I asked for on my toes but they were short staffed so I didn't want to ask them to get a different color and start over. After the pedicure, I waited another 20 minutes for them to start my manicure. I showed the lady what I wanted and asked her to make the tip on my French tip a little thicker and she said "no that won't look good" .... So I just let her do what she thought would look good and it's not at all what I wanted. I paid over $100 for the two services I got after being there for over three hours, not getting what I asked for and the lady in front of me got a 35% discount for how long she waited even though she had been there for less time than me. Yes, yes go straight there and get your nails done today! The prices are a bit more than other places but, remember, you get what you pay for. To begin with, the most striking feature is the monochromatic white interior. I loved it! There were accents of silver but the presence of so much white just made everything look pristine. Service was great. Priscilla did my shellac manicure. I highly recommend her because she has an eye for colors and great skills. I am quite picky when it comes to my nails and her work was spot on. I went early in the day and was able to enjoy a complimentary mimosa. I haven't had one of those in a nail shop ever and it was delicious. I've been going to this salon faithfully since the original review and I'm almost always served by Priscilla. The last time I was there was earlier this summer. Priscilla does exceptional work and she helps out all the other technicians. She's nice depending on the day and her mood, which I can understand being in her business and her family issues. However, the last 3-4 times she's dropped in customer service significantly. I always tip generously, polite, and understanding if she needs to help one of the less skilled technicians. However, something has changed, and I'm treated like a nuisance, while she talks to her co-workers and other people. The ambience is beautiful, usually really clean, Priscilla does great work, but like I said the customer service has decreased significantly. For example, the last time I was there she stopped doing my dipped powder nails to complete another technician's client who did NOT have an appointment with her. No communication to me about it, and again, I had an appointment and it was only until I said that I had somewhere to be did she come back, but kept looking at the other woman's nails and instructing the other technician who clearly didn't know what she was doing. So this is about my 20th time being here at the shop and I am still impressed every time I leave. Priscilla does the most amazing job on my nails! They treat me like family when I come in. I am known to have three mimosas, to laugh loud, and to have fun. Today is my birthday and I got treated like the queen that I am! I could not have asked for a better experience. Priscilla surprised me today for my birthday with an ombre Dipping set! she is the only one who knows how to do it and it turned out amazing. I will definitely be back in 2 weeks just so I can enjoy their company and see what else she has up her sleeve. I am so sad to write this review and to give such a low rating. If I was to rate this place a year ago, this would be a 5 star rating. I used to love this place. Always very clean and they used to let you leave with the tools that were used to show that they did not reuse tools. I also always thought my nails looked great. It's a little pricey but I believed it was worth the price. I have noticed that they stopped giving the tools which is fine, but yesterday I did not see that the lady opened a new package. And I could be totally wrong but the file did not look new. The lady also hurt one of my toes so bad. I thought maybe she cut me by accident, which would be okay I guess, but there was no blood. I have no idea what she did but it still hurts one day later. I can't even wear closed toe shoes to work. It feels like she jabbed a tool down underneath my nail and a piece of the tool broke off and was left underneath . Then when she asked if I wanted my fingernails cut, I said yes and not only were they cut so short that it was painful, but they are crooked. I left a pic below. She also massaged my left arm so hard that I have a bruise but not hard at all on the right arm which I thought was strange. I should have said something at the time I guess. And as I was leaving, I realized that she didn't give me the neck massage that is included with the pedicure I paid for. I probably will not return. read more

With a beautiful setting and located right next to the freeway, Nailology host a clean modern environment to get to get your nails done in. After reading the reviews I decided to giving this place a try. Unfortunately, my shellac "soak off" and manicure left much to be desired. The nail tech (Lynn) drilled so much of my shellac off that It dented my actual nail bed. I have pretty strong nails but after the drilling and excessive buffing, my nails feel and look noticeably weaker. Instead of allowing my nails to soak longer, she opted to file the shellac from my nails. Then buff whatever was left over. Only to go back and make them soak longer. It seems that the only focuses were on the speed of the service and look of the nail and not the health of it which is not ideal for me. Also, if patronizing a place where the employees speak to one another in their language more than they speak to you is a pet peeve, this may not be your spot. Lastly, the manager was extremely nice. But employees need better hygiene practices. Instead of using a brush and acetone/ polish remover to remove the extra shellac from the side of my nails beds, the tech literally dug her finger nail into the crevices of my cuticles to remove said shellac. Definitely not hygienic and actually a little painful. Long story short: Nailology has potential with a great atmosphere, manager and a variety of colors. But the staff may need more training. I doubt that I'll be returning. read more

Not bad but not good. Dip nails came out looking like bubble nails - when I asked them if they could make them thinner they tried but we're not successful. Pedicure was supposedly matching color but didn't - and I left and a round patch chipped off the same day. I won't go back but a regular manicure / pedicure would probably be ok. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. First, I called yesterday to make 10am appointments. When I got there they had people ready to do the appointments and even told us to go to the pedicure chair. A few minutes into it a couple walks in. Instead of saying they will have to wait, they tell us to sit at the nail station so they can do the nails first. When I question what's going on they state they decided to do our nails first. I stated that's not what I scheduled. I scheduled my daughter and my nails and pedicure at the same time as I have an appointment after this. After a bit the manager of whoever the male is admits he messed up the appointments and forgot we even had them. After that it just went downhill. Our nails were done extremely badly. The color, shape and length of mine were incorrect. My daughters nails are messed up on the sides and the shape is not right. She asked for coffin, she got square. I asked for almond, I got oval and short and that's after the woman glued a tip on one finger, messed up and ripped it off taking half of my fingernail with it. This was the worst nail experience we have ever had and on top of all of that they charged us $186 for this mess and I missed my car appointment because this mess took over 2 hours. Never again. Beware of this place. Go somewhere else. Literally anywhere else. ANYWHERE can do BETTER than this. read more

Booked an appt. Walked in and was never asked my name..so appt really wasn't necessary. Was told to choose a color, i spent one second looking at colors and a woman who spoke no english told me come back. I said i am not ready and she continued to do this until i finally said pink is pink and went back. Put my feet in the water and she called someone over and they asked me what i wanted....SERIOUSLY? i said obviously a pedicure. I was asked if i wanted callus removal. Yes. $8. Did i want my old polish removed. Yes. They looked like they had no clue as the what was going on. I removed my feet from the water and left. This is a rip off joint. I needed to get my nails done and drove past Nailology. I decided to stop in and I'm glad I did. Lately I've been doing the "dipping powder" on my nails.. some places do it too thick but Priscilla at Nailology did it perfect!!! I asked if she could do an ombré style and she did a great job. She was very friendly and really knew what she was doing. She took her time to make sure everything was done just right. The inside of the nail shop is very chic and modern. I love the way it is decorated! It's got a very unique atmosphere (in a good way). You do not feel like you're in a nail salon in Houston, TXThe prices are comparable to most nail shops, nothing crazy expensive in my opinion.
