Kevin is a racist! Blatantly. He does not like black people! Been coming here consistently for 3 years and everytime I come in it's an issue. He's a rude and inconsiderate. The techs arent too bad but they tend to reflect his incompetence. Most of them can't really do nails either. There's only a select 4 that's actually good. I'll be disputing the charge with my bank since the requested services weren't rendered. I've already filed a complaint with BBB on them as well. read more

I got my nails done with Adele. She was really nice all the appointment. She removed the gel I had from other place and put a new color. I went on Thursday and by Saturday my nails started breaking and in less than a week all the gel started cracking and falling down. I went on Monday to get an answer and they told me it's was my nails. I've been having my nails done with gel for years now, it's the first time it happens to me and I can tell the gel was bad quality. They didn't took the responsibility of it and tried to blame me. EDIT: lab results are in and this place gave me staph. DO NOT GO HERE. For the first few times coming here I loved this place, however after the past few times I will never go back. In February I went for a dip manicure and the tech filed my nails down so far i said ow a few times and ultimately had to pull my hand back. The nail tech told me my nails were "very sensitive" but in the 5+ years of getting my nails done I've never had an issue until this. Two days after going my nails already started to crack and fall off and my nails underneath were ruined. They have just now grown out. Then went back thinking, "well maybe they can't mess up a pedicure at least". The nail tech ripped a hangnail out to the point where I was grimacing and also pulling my foot away from her. My toe is now extremely infected, hurting, and bleeding and my Mother's Day pedicure is now causing doctor's appointments. I've always heard stories of people getting infections from pedicures but never thought I would experience that. My mother on the other hand had her pedicure (that was my exact same type) take half the time as mine did, the tech didn't cut her nails even though she asked. I have never written a bad review, but I would hate for someone to have the same two damaging experiences I had. I would encourage you to go somewhere else or do your nails at home. read more

If I could've given them 10 stars I would, thats how amazing my first, but not my last visit went. My 3 girls and I set up our appointments a day before and we arrived early but they made us feel comfortable until it was time to get us all started on our pedicures. So it being my FIRST pedicure ever I was stoked, and Micah helped me she had the perfect touch and was super friendly. And Will, the owner I believe came in and started to ask me and was super informative, and they turned out AMAZING, I showed him my IG inspiration and he did a wonderful job. I can't wait to go back it's a beautiful salon, with friendly employees, I will be coming all the way from Arlington, no questions asked. read more

I decided to try a different nail shop from the one I usually go to. NEVER AGAIN!! I went to get a pedicure and the water was COLD without warning! Then I was notified that they didn't have HOT water smh. The lady added some warm water and it was doable. The "Hot stones" were NOT hot when it was time for the massage portion of the pedicure. My toes were not done properly. I have nail polish on my skin that's supposed to be in my toe nails. I ask for the owner and a guy named Kevin came over and I told him everything that happened and all he could say was we tried to make the water warm for you! That is understandable and definitely not professional in my opinion. I should have been told bout the water issues from the month I said that I was here to get a pedicure. He didn't offer a discount for next time, or a discount on the service for today The work was unacceptable for me! Absolutely lovely nail technicians. Loved this place so much! Tiger did such an amazing job creating what I asked for. He not only dipped my nails to perfection but hand painted them and designed them! Really took his time to do what I asked for and even after I felt like they weren't there yet he added more silver to make them pop! They really do go above for their customers. My toes were also done to perfection. The nail technician was gentle and thorough while doing my nails and took her time to do the best French tips I've ever gotten! Definitely will come back again. Had my very first pedicure here so that was something. I was lost when it comes to this stuff and there's so many variables involved in a decent pedicure I don't see why women go through the trouble of getting these. It was expensive but my wife told me the good ones are. Like I said I had no idea what to expect so what I got was just ok but I paid the best price so not sure on this. I had my feet soaked in a tub the pedicure lady came but cut my nails scrubbed them gave my legs a hot stone massage and put some hot jelly stuff on them and I wasn't impressed. It just seems silly to me and I didn't leave the place feeling that much better than when I first came. I think I relax better with a beer. read more

Best pedicure I've had in a long time! I walked in today and although they were busy I was greeted right away. I chose the Deluxe pedicure ($37) Amy did a fantastic job! She was so sweet and was constantly checking in with me to make sure I was enjoying everything. She really took her time, and my feet are so soft! She did a great job with the polish as well, and made sure I was happy with it when she was done. The salon itself was very clean, and pretty. I also loved that they were playing 90's r&b! This was my second time to visit Nails & Beyond -Hulen. This place is great! They are very organized and clean. The staff is very friendly and patient. Compared to surrounding places, Nails & Beyond -Hulen offers reasonable prices with great service. I highly recommend Wendy (Thuy). She was so sweet and took her time doing my nails. I have been here a few times and I had a good experience except for my most recent one, BUT when I called they were very respectful and helpful and understood where I was coming from. Not happy with my nails at all. I had the dipping powder done. The color is a nice berry red but that's about all I like about my nails. All of my nails are different shapes & just looks sloppy. And the lady sliced the edge of my finger with the nail file! So painful. OUCH. I'm so upset that I spent $$ on a bad nail job. Won't be back. Nails and Beyond has actually become one of my favorite nail shops. It's located on Hulen in the small shopping center on the corner. It can definitely be missed so highly suggest for others to drive a lil slow when trying to get to it from the busy street. Usually when I visit nail shops I'm usually hit with a ton of up charges or I see that they nickle and dime you for everything. Well, nail and beyond is one of those places that definitely charge for the services that they provide but the fee is definitely worth it. The last itme I visit I believe my tech name was veronica...or something with a v..oppps. All I know is she was amazing. She took great care of my feet and made sure she treated my cuticles just right. I loved it. She also made sure she spent special attention to certain areas of my feet that needed a lil more tlc. Loved it. I honestly felt like I sat in the massage chair for about 2 hours. It felt so good to be pampered. Not only did she take care of my feet and put a lil tlc into it she also was a great painter and painted my toenails to perfection. I highly recommend others to visit this shop as it has a somewhat luxury feel with great tech who tend to take care of you. Now I'm sure you're wondering why 4 stars then.?! Well, mainly because the very first time I visited I felt like there were issues with the paint colors I wanted. They didn't have them although they were on the list for the gel colors. Then the last time I went I actually wanted a mani and a pedi and I guess there was a miscommunication from the front desk to the tech because I only got a pedi as they thought that that was all that Ii wanted. I came with my friend to get my first dip manicure, I had really high hopes and it went incredibly sideways. I was seated and my manicurist was rushing. Without looking at my card, she pulled out fake nails. When I asked her what she needed those for, she ignored me and proceeded to superglue a fake nail onto my bare frail pinky when all I was requesting was dip on my regular nails! She then tore it off and damaged my pinky nail further ripping off the tip. I also got superglue on my finger as well. After all of this she finally got it right only the color was NOTHING like what I had picked out (110)! It came out way pinker and I'm not happy that the color used was not even close to the color I chose. Overall, horrible experience and I will never pay $47 to receive damage and the wrong color to my nails here again! read more

Really disappointed. I've been going here for awhile and I've usually always liked the nails they do on me so I will give them credit for that. However every time I make an appointment they do not take care of you in a timely manner. When I walked in and told them I had an appointment they looked at me after getting my name and number as if they had forgotten about my appointment. I waited 30 minutes and never even got seated. First time I ever walk out during a service. I'm surprised the board has not shut them down. The first red flag I encountered was the techs straight away "pushing back the cuticles" without any cuticle softener or thorough soaking, so they were just scratching at my nail bed (not pleasant at all). Secondly the tech seemed to have never heard of acetone or nail polish removal because he began to DRILL FILING off my polish (nothing more than a buff is needed on the nail surface) causing even further damage to my nail bed. The last straw was when they cut my companion causing her to bleed and when it was brought to their attention he ignored her and tried to continue, irritating the cut even further. As a licensed Cosmetologist I was in shock with horror, I'm glad I didn't spend my money here but I'm definitely warning anyone to maybe just do your nails at home rather than this place. They assured us everything was sanitized, however just looking at where and how they keep their equipment is enough to second guess that (and them using towels that fall onto the floor instead of discarding them to the dirty bin). so sad i couldn't treat myself, I'm already so hesitant visiting these facilities because of my own knowledge.. read more

An extra star only because I liked the work the nail tech did for my daughter and I liked the polish job on my toes but I did not receive a good job on the pedicure as they rubbed my feet once and softly so I had to come home and smooth my heels myself. $65 with a 5 second massage and the warm wax to not stay on my feet for a full two minutes. I could have saved money for another shop to do a better job. I've never seen a nail shop add tips for each service provided. I always tip a minimum 20% everywhere I go but to mandate it just to provide mediocre service is unacceptable. I will not return for service. read more
