Very qualified techs - always a great experience! Appointments helpful but not necessary

I've been here twice so far for gel manicures. Both experiences have been good, but my second manicure was definitely better than my first. Pricing is fair and there are a lot of options for polishes and services, so there's something for everyone. It can get busy, so I would recommend making an appointment. It is really easy to do over the phone. Once you arrive, you check in at the front desk. I've never had to wait for my service, which is great! Both techs that I've had did a good job. They were efficient and quick, but still detail oriented, which I love as I don't want to sit in the salon for hours. My first gel mani started to chip a little after a week, but my second one is still going strong. This location is super clean, very modern, and everyone is nice, so this will be my go-to salon for a while! read more

I really like this spa and I go there regularly when I am in town. My last experience was subpar because the young woman I usually go to left and I was guided to someone else, Mimi. I just had a bad feeling about it from the moment I sat down that I should just wait and get my nails done back home since the other tech who was wonderful had left, and I didn't know the experience level of who I was getting. Lesson learned. Just look at the pic of what my nails looked like on Day 13. I wouldn't discount this spa because the owner is very nice, the prices are affordable and the ambience pleasant. However, I would just make sure you go to someone who was recommended by another customer for SNS, and maybe go to Mimi for toes, until she gains more experience. Recently moved to Ft worth and was looking for a new nail salon. After reading the reviews I had pretty high hopes for this location but unfortunately my experience was overall disappointing. The tech that worked on my nails was too too rough and shaved down my nails too fine. I spoke out about being a bit more gentle as it was tough tough & my nails felts thin. 3 days later and my gel polish is already peeling. Mind you, I'm not really doing anything out of the ordinary. It's frustrating because after spending so much you'd expect to receive quality service. My pedicure also felt rushed and like there wasn't really an effort to make the service feel relaxing. For $120 I expect to leave feeling much better than I did. I do like that they have a rewards program and the manager seemed nice and walked about asking if any of the guest needed any beverage refreshments so I'm not 100% sure I'm giving up on this location entirely, may just need to find a better tech. read more

I've been really struggling with finding a place that knows how to do nails properly. Beyond happy with this place. Cindy did my nails and she literally did PERFECT!!! My nails never make it past 2 weeks. I've had my nails on for 3 weeks now, no lifting, no breaking and none have come off! I'm beyond impressed and i have decided this is my new nail place!! This was my first time here and they left a great impression. I was there when they opened so it was quick which was nice but I would assume they probably get pretty busy since they're by TCU. Took time off to get pedicures with my husband left with the worst pedicure ever. We spent $102 for two pedicures and was left with callouses, cracked skin, and ingrown toe nails. These pictures are three days after our service. My husband now has two cuts on the bottom of his feet, ingrown toe nails from badly cut nails, and dry skin along the side of his feet. We now question their license as nails should be cut straight across and not down to the side. This place has given the worst experience, result, and have proven to be a waste of money. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I chose a color and an older woman started prepping my nails. While she was taking off my old dip, I decided I wanted a different color. I literally asked to use the same color as the person sitting next to me. She didn't have to even get out of her chair to get the color. I was then charged $1 for "changing colors." She had NOT even painted my nails with the original color I wanted. That is a petty charge and I hope it was worth losing a customer. I paid extra for a manicure and the warm towels were on my hands were literally 10 seconds. I could've done better at home. The older lady here made this experience quite miserable and I will never return. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I really wanted to like this place & been wanting to try for a while. I am a Fort Worth local & have heard mixed reviews, but went with a friend for her birthday. The front person was really nice, but the actual service and quality of work was terrible. I bought the 47 dollar signature pedicure with gel 20 dollars extra totaling 67 total. Also I bought the gel manicure for 58. My total was 125 and still gave tip on top of that because I'm not a complete tightwad. I didn't receive a hand massage and barely a foot massage. She didn't scrub my feet. The gel is sticky and not smooth to the touch - I bet this chips by tomorrow. Vibe was not it. They did not speak to me or try to interact at all... clear they just wanted to get me in and out of there. I'm frustrated because I work very hard for my money & when I decide to get a mani/pedi - it is a treat yourself especially when I can sneak away from the kiddos and hubby for an hour or two. I walked in, chose my color & which pedicure I wanted! They sat me down for 25 minutes with my feet in water before a young lady decides to wait on me! Nobody ever says, someone will be right with you!! I felt ignored as a patron. Is it because I asked for the cheapest pedicure so I'm treated different? They offered others pillows, blankets & drinks!! Never offered me crap Leaving an individual seated with their feet in water for 25 minutes is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE & UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least! This was not my first time here! I chose the cheapest being it's the quickest. I recently had rotator cuff & bicep surgery therefore, my arms in a sling & I'm not feeling that well! I told her I just had surgery & she still took her sweet ass time waiting on me! Then she's hella rough the entire time! Ugh, I will not be returning here!! I hope management sees my review too!! Remember during quarantine when we couldn't get our nails done? That was such a dark time in my life but luckily Park Place was there for me when stay at home orders were lifted. I sent a message via Yelp and spoke with Cami, then I was able to book an appointment. Ever since then, Park Place has been my go-to nail shop for the last year and a half. I love going in to Park Place to get either a manicure or pedicure. My nails always come out great, the drinks are flowing, and everyone is so nice! I feel like a celebrity when I'm at Park Place plus it's an opportunity for me to mentally unwind and catch up on reading. Pretty disappointing experience. Asked if we could test a specific color on my nails but even said it's alright if we can't. The woman just stared at me and pulled back out the book i chose from. I said that's not what i meant and she ignored me. I just went with it. Then she asked several rude questions such as "did you not have school today?" (I am well out of any kind of college) and "are you tired, you look tired" and "are you crying?" Then was charged $10 extra for round nails. I also had to ask several times for round nails and she filed them to the point that my tips didn't even add length. At the end of the day, they look fine. And I'm fine with that, but my experience was just very poor and what i got was not at all what i paid for. Won't be back read more

This place is very highly recommended so even though I've had nothing but bad experiences here in the past, I decided to come back and hopefully finally get ONE good experience. Well, today wasn't the day. I'm trying to grow out my nails but the lady who did mine today put a tip over my natural nail (which was fine with me) and then filed my natural growth down on the underside. I've never had any other place do that. Then, she kept bulking up the dip on my nails and when it was already comically thick, she says, "I'm going to put another layer!" At that point I said no thank you and politely asked for the file so I could get rid of some of the bulk. She flooded my cuticles and then filed them raw to clean them up. I'm so done with this place. I left here today with dried glue and dried dip all over my hands. The guy at the front desk saw me picking at it as I was checking out and said "sit, we'll get rid of it!" So I sat and all she did was rub alcohol on my hands and on my raw cuticles and then at that point I left, and these pictures were taken now as I'm sitting in my car. read more

This is a really good place for a pedicure. They started me right on time for my appointment and did an excellent job with the callus removal. Kim, the nail tech, made sure I had the right color and helped pick a shade for me that was better than my initial choice. The only thing that takes away from 5 stars was the massage. She started the timer before she actually applied the oil and got started but the massage wasn't as good as many I've had anyway. Also the chairs have a pillow at the hip, so you don't get the full effect of the electric chair massage - not a biggie but there you have it. Parking is difficult, so plan ahead. read more

I had such high hopes for this place. I was not completely let down, but Park Place Nail Spa did not live up to the hype I had created in my head. My expectations were set high when I saw the great reviews. They were set even higher when I reached out to Cami (the owner) about scheduling an appointment. She is such a sweetheart and was so pleasant to interact with. I scheduled pedicure appointments for my mom and me. My mom was coming from out of town, and we thought it would be a fun way to spend some time together! We got to Park Place and were immediately impressed by how beautiful it was. Everything was clean, and the people seemed kind and welcoming. I never met Cami (at least I don't think I did). Now to the actual pedicures...we chose the most affordable (and basic) option which was $29 each. Not a bad price. The set up was nice, and again, everything appeared clean. Neither of the girls who did our pedicures said a single word to us. Not sure if this is a pro or a con. I am just putting that out there in case people have a preference. They were meticulous about the appearance of the pedicure. And by that, I mean I really liked the end result of how my toes looked!!! Good job, Sarah! BUT...both my mom's feet and my feet ended up feeling very, very rough afterwards. My feet were smooth before the pedicure, but still, a pedicure normally includes "shaving" and further smoothing of the soles of your feet. They spent very little time doing this. Our feet ended up feeling extremely rough due to only doing it a little. It probably would have been better if they did nothing at all in that aspect. When we left, my mom immediately wanted to head home and fix it herself since it felt so bad. I know my mom would not choose to go back. I would consider giving this place another try. I came here for a solo nail salon trip. I didn't find the chairs super comfy, but it was a clean salon and they did a little nail art on request for me. It was $5 to add the almond shape and $5 for the nail art. I came at 9:45 on a quiet Tuesday. I wasn't offered any water or anything to drink which was a minus for me, since I don't like to request things. (I'm shy.) I think they did an overall good job on both my manicure and pedicure, and I know it has tons of amazing reviews in Tanglewood Moms so I'm giving it a 4, since it's seems like a lot of people love it.
