    I like this location of Luxx as everyone here is very friendly. It is always busy but I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes to get service (they also take appointments). My nail techs do a nice job and listen to what I ask. They also fix anything I don't like. There are a bunch of price ranges so you can get a pedi for $25 or $125 the choice is yours. I like the one that comes with the shoulder massage. When I want a nice treat I give myself a couple of hours to relax here.

    would like to make you aware of an incident that left me feeling deeply troubled, humiliated, and disrespected at this salon on Friday, September 5th, 2025, at 9:00 AM. I had an appointment scheduled with Jessica, but due to an emergency I was asked to return later. Since my schedule did not allow for that, I asked if Lee was available, as he had previously done my nails well. I showed him an inspiration photo of the style I wanted, and he began working. While he was doing my nails, I noticed an issue when my "dry" hand got stuck in my hair, requiring me to pull it free. He dismissed my concern, stating the product he used was sticky. Still, I allowed him to continue. When he finished, I calmly told him, "Lee, I don't like my nails." I was not disrespectful, nor did I raise my voice. I simply explained that something was off and they didn't look right on my hands. He asked what I wanted to do, and I began suggesting we could take the design off. Before I could finish, he cut me off and said: "No, what you can do is go to another salon and let them do your nails because I'm not doing them." At that moment, another customer and I exchanged a look of confusion, as she too seemed shocked by what was happening. I then picked up my belongings and went to the front desk, expecting to see a manager. Instead, I was met by Lee again, and that is when he told me, "Don't ever come back here. And if you do come back, don't ever ask for me, because I will never do your nails again. So just go. Leave." He even made a dismissive hand gesture as if to shoo me away. By this time it was around 11:30 AM and the salon was busy, so this was said in front of everyone. I simply said "okay" because I did not want to make a scene or allow it to appear as though I was the problem. After leaving, I called back because I wanted to speak with a manager and explain what happened. At first I was told the manager wasn't there. When I asked when I could call back, I was then told the manager was actually on vacation but that someone else could help me. As I tried to explain what happened, I was overwhelmed with emotion--I was crying, confused, and could barely get my words out because I still didn't understand what triggered Lee to react the way he did just because I said I didn't like my nails. The person on the phone apologized and told me that Lee had no authority to put anyone out of the shop. I also told them, "I know you have cameras. If you think I'm lying, please review the cameras so you can see exactly what happened with your own eyes. I don't want to be labeled a liar." The person assured me, "No, ma'am, I believe you. Just come back at a later time and we can get someone else to do your nails." But why would I return when I'm sure Lee has already told his side of the story to his wife, who also works there, creating an awkward and hostile environment. Normally in this salon, they often speak their own language, and I refuse to sit there wondering if I'm being mocked, disrespected, or painted as a problem behind my back. At least Lee spoke in English that day and made it clear how he felt. I will take his advice and never come back. I was stunned by the escalation, especially since I remained calm and respectful the entire time. I always tip generously--above 20%--and expected at the very least to be treated with professionalism. I strongly believe that if a customer of a different ethnicity had voiced the same concerns, the situation would have been handled differently. The way I was treated felt racially motivated, disrespectful, and humiliating. Customers deserve kindness, dignity, and professionalism, and I will not settle for less. If there is any doubt about how this incident unfolded, I encourage management to review the cameras, which will confirm exactly how I was treated. And finally, the reason I keep emphasizing that I was calm, respectful, and never raised my voice is because as an African American woman, we are too often painted as being the problem--"hard to work with" or "difficult to deal with." That is the furthest thing from the truth, not only for me but for many women I know. I do not want it to be implied that I caused the problem, when the reality is that the way I was handled and treated was the actual problem. To future customers: please be cautious about where you spend your money. No one deserves to be dismissed, disrespected, or degraded when paying for a service.

    So I booked this on a Friday around 11 and everything that we asked for was understood. I knew that my sister was going to engaged that weekend so I had to sneak in a nail appt for her. They were fast and very detailed. I was nervous about them rushing because it was a busy afternoon and I couldn't have her nails looking crazy. It's a very spacious salon so I enjoyed not being squeezed in between people. I also liked how the itemized the receipt because I like to see where my money is going because that's super important. If I got my nails done daily I would definitely come back. I'll definitely be back if I need to do some type special event for my nails. Thanks for all your help! My sister loved her nails and so did I!

    Builder Gel

    Although I did enjoy Tammy's company and her artistry on my French tip builder gel nails. I am missing quite a few Apex's on my finger nails. And I don't like that at all. I feel like for $89 this simple set should be flawless. I recorded the original video to send to my sister yesterday to see if I was crazy or not.

    Been going here for years and there service has declined. I went to get my acrylics and gel polish off, I wont be going back. They used nail tips to pop off my acrylics that had lifted and ripped my thumb nail in half down to quick and my pointer finger nail. After multiple times of telling them it hurt. I finally just told them no more. But still had to pay for service.

    When I say I was beyond frustrated, that's putting it mildly. I arrived at 5:30 p.m. and didn't leave until 8:00 p.m. I'd asked for a manicure and dip set with hot wax, specifically with the Cat Eye chrome polish for a wavy look. I made sure in advance that this could be done with dip powder, and they assured me it could. They assigned Bryan to do my manicure, but I got concerned early on. After soaking my nails, he immediately started prepping to add tips. I had to tell him twice that my natural nails are long enough and that I didn't want tips. Then, as he was working on my nails, he began filing, so I reminded him that I wanted my cuticles cut. He said he'd do that after applying the polish, which didn't make sense to me. I also asked him to test the chrome polish on my pinky finger first to make sure it would have the look I wanted. He assured me it would, but as he started on the rest of my nails, I noticed he was making "X" designs - nothing like the wavy pattern shown in the book or what I asked for. It looked terrible. I called the manager over, who instructed Bryan to buff off the chrome and start over. But after he did, it looked even worse than before, and he still hadn't cut my cuticles. When he finished, he applied a clear gel coat and acted as if he was done, so I had to remind him that my manicure included the wax treatment too. By that point, it was late, and I still needed my eyebrows done, so I just told him to forget it. But, it was already 8 p.m., and everyone was ready to leave, myself included. I was so infuriated that I asked for the owner's contact information and told them they'd have to redo my entire set. The manager told me to come back tomorrow, 11/14/24, and they'd redo my nails at no extra charge. I had them put it in writing, so I'll update this review depending on whether or not they honor that promise.

    The service here is amazing, love the drinks I had from Tina and the care and quality of her work. I make sure to always request her. Grade A spa pedicure experience!

    It was time for my monthly Pedicure. I was greeted right away and offered a drink right away! Oh…read moreyea! They know how to serve their Customers! Also, the have Kiosed where you check in now. Before, you would have to sign in at the Clipboard. A petite Vitnamese woman, who spoke hardly any English, did my Pedicure. She rocked a beautiful Green Christmas Pedicure. She was so nice, she gave me a nice Leg Massage and Foot Massage. I was totally relaxed and she noticed. Lol I decided to get Christmas Colors of Red and White on my Toe Nails. When I told the Nail Tech what I wanted, she seemed confused but she got it right. I was pleased with the result. They also have nice Christmas Decor. See my Pictures. I noticed, when I was heading out, the Kiosk was ready for me to check out. That was a nice gesture. I also got clarification on the Stamp Card. It's one stamp no matter how many services you get in one visit. So, hurry to the Galaxy. I mean the Galaxy Nail Bar to get your Pedi just in time for the Christmas Holidays.

    Well that was disappointing. I came once before and it was great--but things went very differently…read moretoday. As my nail tech started on the gel base coat, I actually had to ask, did you already do the manicure and cuticles, etc., because I had dry skin and misshapen nails with jagged edges. She seemed surprised that I asked, but then fixed things, to some extent. The color was fine, and the massage was the usual 30-second massage most places give you with a gel manicure. Overall, worst gel manicure I've received in a long, long time. The gel pedicure was much better than the manicure, though not good enough to make me return to this nail salon. It was pretty empty inside--lots of chairs, but not a lot of clients. It's got an elegant appearance, though. On a positive note, they were able to take me on short notice.
