I was super disappointed with this nail salon. I took my fiancé for his first pedicure and it was an awful first experience. They sat us when we came in and then we sat....and sat....and sat. 30 minutes goes by before were acknowledged. The entire time we were sitting there my water was cold and I would ask them to turn it up and it would be warm again for a minute but would go back to cold. I finally gave up and sat uncomfortably in cold water. The seats were all beat up and my fiancés chair massager did not work, nor did the adjustment portion of the chair. When we were finally helped the lady did a decent job with the whole process of a pedicure but the paint barely lasted a week, when usually my pedicures last for a month! It seems that they really try to cut costs with cheap polish and pedicure chairs even though they have ridiculously high prices. They certainly do not take care of the place and that made me really uncomfortable about the cleanliness of their equipment. I will not be back. Cindy at Nails and More does the best set of fiberglass nails...I am really, really picky, being a former hairdresser and nail technician, and I just couldn't find someone who would do nails like I did. I found her! Cindy always does a great job, and the nails do not lift. I have noticed over the years that everyone's nails look like "theirs"...the right shape and length to fit the person's hands and preferences. Not cookie-cutter shaped nails on everyone. I have Ann (Cindy's mom) do my pedicures and have been really pleased! I have my mom finally going to get hers there too. Even my husband likes sitting and visiting with the staff when I get my nails done. Everyone is very nice and they have a great sense of humor, even if it is sometimes hard to understand them due to the accents. Love this salon. read more

This is a stellar place to get a pedicure. They do a thorough job that lasts for at least a week and a half. The massage is included and is great. The manicure I got was uneven and only lasted a few days, which was disappointing. My main complaint is with their waxing services. I was very specific about getting my brows cleaned up, not shaped. I said three times I wanted them left thick. I wound up with pencil thin brows, a horrible rash and a burn that left a scar. I complained, but paid anyway. I'll never, ever get my brows done there again. Angel Nails does a great job and listens. That complaint aside, the salon itself is clean and airy, well equipped and most everyone is very sweet. The prices are about average for that type of salon and as stated before, the pedicures are a great value. read more

In this day and age, there is no excuse to not accept credit cards. Especially with the introduction of services like Square that make it SO easy and affordable to do so. I'm in town because of a death in the family and decided to take a little break from the craziness and get a manicure pedicure. Based on Yelp reviews and how nearby this place was, I paid them a visit. If this review was based on niceness alone, they would get four or five stars. The women who work there are very pleasant and eager to start conversation. Unfortunately, all the pleasantries in the world can't make up for everything else. I arrived and was promptly seated in a chair....where I waited and waited. A lot of pedicure places do this. They can't get to you right away, but instead of telling you, they get you in the chair with your feet in the water so you can't escape. I wouldn't have minded except the chair was horrendous. I'm literally in pain still today because it massacred my back. The buttons were worn off and what ever padding that was between the chair and the massage wands inside of it is gone, so I sat there trying to get comfortable as I was repeatedly gouged in the back. I finally gave up and switched it to upper back, then eventually just off. The girl who did my pedicure was nice enough. She did a good job aside from cutting my toe with clippers. She did keep getting up in the middle of the pedicure though and walking around to do other things. It was super distracting. They did my manicure in seat and the girl who did it was super meticulous and did a great job. But once it was done, I sat there waiting to get my gels applied. I sat for almost 30 minutes. I was timing it because if I got to 5:30, (I arrived at 3:30), I was going to give up and leave. Finally, two minutes before my deadline, they came and got to do my gels. At the end of having my gels applied I pulled out my credit card to pay and took out cash to give as a tip. It was only then I was informed they don't take credit cards. Wait - WHAT? There is no sign saying this anywhere. You mean to tell me you run a business where transactions routinely run between $30 and $70 and you don't take credit cards? She said they take checks though. Great, I think, I have my checkbook. I go to write a check and they then say they can't take it because it's out of state. I think at this point that I'm going to have to bring them cash later or in the morning. Nope. The woman walks me across the strip mall in those little pedicure flip flops and makes me get cash out of the ATM in the liquor store at the other end of the shopping center. Yes. I'm serious. Originally, I had intended to give them a $12 tip for the $58 service. Just because I know they work hard. But, after all that and considering I just paid a zillion dollars in fees to get cash out of a liquor store ATM and also considering the "make me walk across a dark parking lot into a seedy liquor store in pink flippy floppies" tax, I gave her $5. What a mess. Literally. Next time I'm in town visiting family, I'll make the drive down to El Dorado Hills to one of the nail salons there. read more

This was my first time here and I loved it Song did my nails, she was so nice and payed alot of detail into the nails and made sure I was all ways happy with my nails tell the end, and was even super careful with a nail that was hit by a car door.This shop is all so really cute and homey! 10/10 will come back here. I called to book an appointment same day, earliest available for a acrylic fill and gel polish. I was talked into a pedicure by the owner to pass the time and was told someone would begin my fill as I was in their spa chair. During my pedicure service, my tech needed to do an eyebrow wax for a customer that took 15 minutes. I am very patient, I did not mind. But three customers walked in during my service, appointment or not, that were taken care of before anyone even acknowledged my fill appointment. The pedicure was great, don't get me wrong, but I did not originally call in for a pedicure which took an hour and a half to complete. Needless to say, I left without even getting my fill. I frequent this location when I am in town visiting because it is near by and yes, I will continue to because the service is ok. I am just very disappointed in this visit this time around. read more

Really disappointed in this place. Came in to get a BASIC manicure because I saw online it said $8.00. After I was charged the $13.75 because they don't like to take credit cards so they charge you .75 cents. I looked at the receipt and noticed the charge, I didn't say anything because she was actually quite rude and didn't say thanks for coming in or anything legit just walked away after she swiped my card. So I was confused I left cash tip, then started getting annoyed on the drive home because I could've got gel for $20 and had it last longer and look better but for 13.75 I did a basic. I decided to call and she said no where does it say that it's $8.00 and proceeded to argue with me. This salon is so friendly even as a new customer they remember my name even when I don't have an appointment. They are very thorough on the pedicures. My fiberglass nails are beautiful every time and I get compliments where ever I go and that is a for sure sign right there. These ladies work very hard to make sure the customer is taken care of correctly and feels special. I have tried other salons and my nails looked clunky and phony. Their work is nice and my nails look real and yet they are so strong they never come off or split. I have not seen a shop like this in a long time! Didn't honer my appointment! Didn't do my pedi/mani at the same time, so I was there 2 hours. Why make appointments then?

Came in after going to two other nail salons and being told they were too busy to take me, so I was pleased that Nails & More could get me in. After I was told to pick a color, I started walking over to the massage chairs, but was told to "wait" by the looks of it the maintenance guy who barely spoke any English. There's no waiting area, so I was forced to sit at the drying area in the middle of the salon. I watched the maintenance guy prep my station, and after about 10 mins I was beckoned to sit down. I was put in the far corner of the salon, which I noticed the drywall coming apart like they were in the middle of construction or something. Didn't seem very clean or professional. Also, it looked like the tub where I put my feet in was covered in a clear garbage bag, which I think is a hack to avoid cleaning the tub properly? Not sure. Had to sit and wait 15-20 minutes before my pedicure actually started. My water got hella cold, and I had no idea who would be taking care of me. The gal that ended up doing my pedicure asked me what kind of pedicure I wanted. Since I was short on time I opted for the basic $25 one. She tried to sell me on the next one up that cost only $5 more with extra massage time, but because I was short on time I opted for the basic one. She seemed to get a little butt-hurt that I didn't go with the more pricey one. My pedicure started off fine at first with the exception of the cold water and guilt for not spending more. When it was time for her to massage my legs with lotion, she only took one leg out of the water at a time and massaged my leg while it was soaking wet. When she was done with one leg she made me put it back in the dirty water, whereas other salons I've been to will take both legs out and dry them off before starting the lotion massage. After she was done massaging my legs she rinsed off all my lotion which I thought defeats the whole purpose of putting lotion on them in the first place. At this point other nail salons will come out with a hot towel to get the residue off but maintaining the moisture of the lotion. My gal rinsed everything off then used a lukewarm, almost cold towel to dry my legs off. The towel came from some janky microwave thing with other towels, which did not give me a warm fuzzy - no pun intended. I then got a massage with some hot rocks, which I have to admit was very nice. Most nail salons don't include this in their basic pedicure, so I was pleasantly surprised with this added bonus. Next, she painted my nails which went well, and then I hung out for about 10 mins while my nails dried and she cleaned up. Another red flag was the tools they use and how they disinfect them. The tools she used were in a metal tray, and I had no way of telling how clean or fresh they were. I also didn't see any of the usual jars of barbicide for disinfecting tools. Instead this salon's version of cleaning and disinfecting tools is washing the tools in a sink with soap and water followed by putting them in a UV sterilizer which from research doesn't kill bacteria. Any place that uses a device that resembles a microwave over to clean their tools is not getting any repeat business from me. When it was time to pay, I paid by card to which I was told would be an additional $0.75, and I was flat out asked how I wanted to tip. I hate when it's just assumed, practically expected that you're tipping, but I gave the gal $5.00 and quickly hustled out of there fully intending not to return. Overall, I was happy with my nails themselves, but the whole experience plus the atmosphere definitely makes me not want to come back. read more

I have been here a half dozen times within the past 5 months for gel fills, and Kelly has been my go to person. She is lovely, on time, and does a beautiful job. I can go 4-5 weeks in between fills, and they never break. The shop is certainly nothing fancy, but they are kind folks who seem to genuinely care for their customers! Did not listen to exactly what my mom wanted for her nails, and It just looked absolutely very ugly and she payed $38 for the fiber glass powder and gel polish and my mom just wanted something short and natural and a light gel polish not 4 coats of polish. read more

Visited here recently. Went in for a pedicure, which costs $23 (THEY ONLY TAKE CASH OR CHECKS!) The women are very sweet but it's a bit difficult to understand them as they are Vietnamese. And yes, the pedicure was long, 1 hour and 10 mins to be exact, but it's nice not to feel rushed like some other places! They take their time and do a nice job, just be sure you dont need anything done in a hurry. I will definitely be back, you can't beat their prices and their service!! read more

I just finished with my first visit here, and I am so happy! I went to Luxury Nails for over three years, but have been looking for somewhere new (reasons why are on my review for L.N.), and decided to give it a try as it was close, and had great reviews here on Yelp. I had Cindy do my pink and white fiberglass nails, and she did a great job! She was really sweet, very friendly, and very willing to change things to make sure they were exactly how I wanted (and I am very picky!); she even encouraged me to bring in pictures of manis/pedis that I like and she'll do it for me, which is awesome. Cindy was talkative, but not overly chatty (which I like), and she also apologized every time she had to speak to her staff in another language (I personally don't mind when other people speak different languages in front of me, but I know it's a turn-off for some, which is why I mentioned it), and I thought that was really polite and considerate of her. I also had a pedicure, but I didn't catch the girl's name (she's young, maybe 25 or so and Cindy said she is fabulous with nail art and does tons of cool designs by hand). The pedicure was great, she really took her time making sure my nails were perfectly filed, cuticles trimmed, etc before doing my polish; the massage was great, and the best part? They use a drill to file dead skin from your feet! No more scrubbie brushes that tickle the crap out of you (i'm very ticklish), and no more rough skin left behind! SO much better! This wasn't the kind of pedicure with all kinds of scrubs and rocks and such, but it was an A+ service and results-wise! My pedicure was $28 (I also got a flower on my toe, since my girl was the design queen and it's very pretty!), and my nails were $35 (I got fiberglass pink and white, with the gel top coat). All in all, I am very happy with my experience here and will definitely be coming back!! I totally recommend visiting this nail salon! One thing to note: it is in a TINY parking lot, and in the corner, so it's a bit hard to find if you don't live in Cameron Park and are familiar with the area. Had my nails done on Friday...They looked great! Removed powder tips and had gel put on. Saturday night they were bending and split. Not enough gel put on to make them strong. I went in to have they fixed today and Cindy tells me I need to either cut them off or go back to tip/powder. Fortunately, my step-daughter does nails for a living and I sent her the pictures. She said they didn't put over-lay on and did not apply the gel properly. Very disappointed with this salon. Don't people fix their mistakes anymore? I walked out and told Cindy "nevermind" after she insisted I needed to put tips back on at an additional cost of course. Sad... read more

Disappointing! I have been to Nails & More in Cameron Park many times, including with granddaughters and other family members, and been very satisfied. But I recently had a very disappointing pedicure by Sandy. I called and made an appointment and was on time and my service started right away. What normally takes 45 minutes to an hour even for the basic pedicure, this last one took 30 minutes. If there was a scheduling problem, i should have have been told. It was VERY rushed. My feet were not soaked until after the cuticles and nails were trimmed. Very odd.... The soak usually is the first step to soften the skin. It hurt!! And they just raised their prices again. I understand that small businesses have suffered from the pandemic and need to increase prices a bit to stay alive. I want to support my local businesses. But this was a sub-standard pedicure. I'm afraid I will be looking for services elsewhere. read more

I don't usually write reviews but after our awful experience I think people should be warned about this salon. First, we had an appointment to get 4 pedicures and 1 manicure. They sat us in chairs and ignored us for about 30 minutes. Then they rushed the pedicures because they were behind. Keep in mind we had an appt. Then the girls wanted a simple design, red nails with white polka dots with a black bow on the big toe. Not super complicated but apparently they couldn't figure it out and with the language barrier she ended up screaming at my daughter that she couldn't do it. Really?? Screaming at a child to make sure cry!! It was the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. They apparently only have basic design skills and can't do anything beyond that. Then they try to sneak in extra charges at the end to compensate for their lack of skills. Not to mention the place is flithy and the chairs need cleaning and/or replaced. Just GROSS!! Needless to say, I won't be back and hope people think twice before going to this salon especially since there are other options in the area. read more

I really wanted to like this place, mostly because of their selection of gel colors, but I will not be returning. The nail technician was extremely sweet, but that's not enough to return. Even though the technician took her time and did a thorough job, my nails chipped (gel) just a few days later. Additionally, when she finished, it looked like they were already grown out. She didn't paint all the way down to the cuticle. This place also nickel and dimes, as they charged extra for every.little.thing. $5 extra to take off the dip powder I already had on my nails. $3 extra per color (I wanted three different gel polishes). $1 extra to use a debit card. That's just crazy to me. Why charge to take off the dip when I'm getting them done again? I can see if I only wanted it to be removed. And why charge per color? I'm not using any extra polish than if I were to have one color. A gel manicure ended up costing me $40 before gratuity. Never have I ever paid that much for a gel manicure. I wouldn't have mind paying that kind of money had my nails not chipped just a few days after! Also, the place is very dumpy. The floors are a mess, and there are boxes just stacked everywhere. I have gone three weeks or longer sometimes between fills (don't recommend that) and still had no breakage at all.
