She is now 7 years old and hates having her paws handled. Stephanie and her partner did a great job with our Rosie. I was very impressed with their caring, their knowledge and gentleness, taking time for her needs. No sign of stress or fear or pain. She goes after every mat, clips like the pro she is, and most importantly, pays very close attention to the dog and their stress level. One of my goldens was hating the entire experience so Stephanie knew when it was time to take a break. My dogs are 80-100 lbs. Stephanie is nice and strong, which is important. My dogs look show-worthy after grooming. I recommend Wolf Spa to anyone that has a dog that is heavy, or has special needs, or just needs a great clipping. After arriving, I was pleasantly greeted by Grace and was made feel very welcome. Everyone in the lobby said hello to Sammy and gave him some pets. They explained the process to me and promptly took him back to get groomed. The whole process took around an hour or so, and he came out smelling and looking great! And lastly, the pricing was great! I spent around $100 total for their basic hygiene which includes a bath, nail trim, teeth brushing, and ear cleaning. I also added on a full blow-out as he sheds quite a lot! I felt I got great service for my money and was happy. Overall, I would definitely take your best friend to Scenthound Petaluma. They clearly love their job and are about you are your animal. But what I appreciate the most, is that he sets expectations for my difficult pup, and is still willing to push as much as he can. And every time my difficult pup comes out, he is still cute!! Jason lets me know where he struggled, and I try to make up where I can at home, but at least he made sure that the money makers (the face) look great. I'm so grateful! She has so many repeat clients so you know she is worth it. I contacted her because she grooms a neighbors dog and the neighbor has us "dog sit"/ get his energy out with my kids so we wanted to do something nice. She sent me the invoice for the grooming and let the owner (neighbor) have the message. If she has them she puts a seasonal bandana on their collar too. He's a large breed so I know he takes a while but she is so patient with him. I've recommended her services to friends who have been looking.

The care and kindness they show to the dogs are unmatched, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Their facility is fantastic--there's a large, open area for the dogs to move around and private half-wall kennels that are spacious enough to fit multiple dogs, but they only ever use them for one dog at a time. It's such a thoughtful setup, ensuring the dogs are comfortable and not stuck in a small cage. I've never had any issues with appointments or service--they're always reliable and professional. I didn't give up and I was extremely fortunate to find Petco and Dr. Bacon. who after examining Skipper concluded he was Ok for the surgery. Skipper survived and he had several post surgical visits. Two months later Skipper is living up to his name (jumping nonstop). Dr Bacon and his staff were excellent.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be used to describe the cleanliness of the store. The floors and fixtures are in desperate need of a deep clean. There are thick build-ups of grime and dirt on the floor tiles, heavy layers of dust, cobwebs, and debris gathered under the shelves, and clumps of loose pet hair drifting down the aisles. Even the bottom of the "JustFoodForDogs" freezer unit had noticeable grime running down the front vent. I want to support our local pet stores, but walking through such neglected aisles makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. The front-end staff is doing great, but management really needs to step up the store's basic housekeeping and sanitation.
