Let me start by saying the facilities are beautiful and clean. There are so many colors to choose from and the service is great. However, after spending $35+ ( with a 20% tip on top of that) for a gel manicure I would expect it to last more than 4 days. I got the manicure on a Tuesday morning and by Friday I had 2 nails completely chipped off. I would prefer to have my nails last for the 2 weeks rather than a half decent chair massage and some mystery paraffin wax dip. I asked around and this has happened to 4 out of my 5 friends that have gone there ( both regular manis & gel) . Im sticking to ZaZas in Stoneham. This was my first time getting a gel manicure. Overall, pretty good. I thought it was clean and tools were nice and sanitized. However, I did feel rushed throughout the process, and the male I had didnt pay attention to detail. My cuticles were barely touched and my polish starts further down my nail than usual. I went here a couple of weeks ago with my friends right before vacation. Every single one of our nails chipped right before we left even our pedicures looked terrible. NOT to mention my friend gave ,what she thought was a good enough tip, but it clearly wasn't to them. Instead of being thankful for the tip the manager told my friend the nail tech was upset with the tip amount and demanded she at least give five dollars more. for a 130 dollar mani and pedi we will NEVER go here again. read more

I've been to aria for years now. Every time I swear the experience is worst than the one before. One time one of the male technicians actually said my friend looked like an alcoholic who needs help. Today was the last straw. I'm five months pregnant and it's also my birthday! We had an appointment for 3, and they sat three other people down and left all five of us sitting in cold water (one of them weren't even turned on)! There was no one in sight ready to take care of us. And this happens almost every single time. They overbook, they give horrible service and they criticize you. Insane. Had a horrible horrible experience there today. I usually go to Lilly who is excellent but she was off so I went to whoever they gave me and I ended up with Kyle (tall skinny unfriendly kid) who literally took 20 minutes to do my pedicure. I'm 9 months pregnant and need my feet to be done thoroughly as I am about to give birth. I asked him to slow down and questioned why he was going so fast....his response "If you want a better pedicure then I suggest you get a Spa pedicure" ($20-30 more when all I wanted was for him to give me a normal 45min peducure.) He didn't cut my cuticles, rounded my toe nails and barely scrubbed my feet! I told the nail tech that was doing my husband's nails that I wanted someone else to do my nails. No manager ever came over or addressed the situation the simply gave me a girl named Sunny who can't file nails if her life depended on it and instead of almond nails she gave me a round man-like shape. She also paints like she's painting a fence. Oh and the best part is that when it came time to pay Sunny insisted that I pay before I paint my nails. I told her that I want to check out the products because I knew I was going to take the orange body scrub already but she told me to go over to the products and select them 1st as if I was going to bail on my bill. Did I mention I'm 9 months pregnant and was so insulted she made me get up twice just to pay my bill. Absolutely ridiculous. Unless I go to Lilly I'm done w this place. I have now been two Aria 3 times. Twice for a pedicure and once for a wax. Everytime they have exceeded my expectations. I love the relaxing atmosphere and the staff is always super friendly. I want to love it here but inevitably its more expensive than other nail salons and my gel manicure NEVER lasts even a week without chipping. I got a pedicure here about 6 weeks ago and it started to chip within a week as well and I got a gel manicure Friday and it started to chip yesterday :(. This is never a problem when I get my nails done down the street at gloss in melrose where my gel manicure lasts a full 2 weeks. I appreciate the added bonuses that aria provides its clients (Parafin wax, stone massage,) but that doesn't make up for the chipping nails since a lasting manicure is really what I'm looking for. read more

I give this place three stars because it is truly a mixed review. The most important point I suppose, is that you come out of there with a very average manicure. Their technicians are just not very skilled, and emphasis is clearly not focused on clients leaving with great looking nails. Paint is left around your nails, the French gel manicure is awful / uneven, corners left too sharp. I've been three times because it's so close to my house that it's the most convenient - but after this third poor result, that's it for me. That said, they make up for it in some regard with bells and whistles. Each manicure comes with paraffin wax warm towel and a hot stone massage. Pedicures too. The facility is very pretty, well-designed. But in my opinion, if you leave with a bad manicure, who cares about all that? read more

OMG.... Not greeted when entering on a saturday... Yes it was busy but so what... They had plenty of staff I had to wait but not too long I felt rushed when trying to pick out a color for a Pedi.... Why do they always make you feel like you need to PICK A COLOR yesterday .... Soooo annoying So this guy - not fond of men working on my toes but I did need this pedi that particular day and did not feel like dealing with this issue so I settled..., long story short this joint Is quite nice inside but hey it us brand new... Let's see how it holds up by next year??? I don't know why I was possessed to spend $80 on just a so so pedi.... The guy skipped a few steps as I lurked around at others having their feet done..., oh well it's their loss as I won't be back.... Thank the lord j have a regular place I go to.... The atmosphere of this nail salon is very nice and clean. The actual service and price would make me never come back however. The nail color I was looking to get (which is a very common OPI color) they did not have. My pedicure was rather quick - very minimal cuticle was removed and my foot was barley buffed. The actual polish on my toes was not done well and chipped after less than a week. Same with my shellac manicure - rather quick service and also chipped after less than a week when my shellac manicures typically last 3+ weeks. The price for a pedicure and shellac manicure was $70 not including tip so overall spending around $85 for a mani pedi that didn't even last a week was extremely disappointing. read more

Overpriced mani/pedi that chips within hours. I took my sister and her friend here to start off a bachelorette weekend. This was the second time I had been here. We each got a gel manicure and pedicure. Within hours, while we were getting ready to go out for dinner, we realized that each of us had chipped nails on our toes and fingers. We used a coupon to receive the $10 off the pedicure and $5 off the manicure and between the 3 of us, we still paid over $200 (including tips). It wasn't worth it. Great polish selection and great extras, but that's all this place has to offer. I've gone back 3 times in under 2 weeks for shellac fixes and had to pay 35$ twice for a service that wasn't done properly the first time! I went to aria for the first time last week with my sister. The salon is beautiful, clean, and relaxing. The staff is all very friendly and welcoming when you enter. My sister was extremely happy with the girl who did her nails, lily. She was professional and paid attention to detail and her nails and feet look fabulous. And she only got the standard of both. However my experience was not as pleasurable. My worker was paul. He was funny, and knowledgeable about what kind of treatment I needed for my feet. I chose to get the Shea Butter pedicure which cost $80! But this was a treat so I went with it. The whole process was relaxing and I felt so amazing but I was disappointed in the amount of time he spent with massaging. You would think after spending 80$ it would be longer than a regular pedicure. The paint job was rushed had to ask him to fix a few toes and I am upset at the lack of cuticle work. It was also approaching closing time, so a woman came over to start my nails. I was fine with that but she missed all my cuticles and I had to ask her to do them, she did a mediocre job with that and the paint job. One week later they have chipped and my cuticles are a mess. I felt rushed with her as if she couldn't wait to leave and got a little back/shoulder rub while my sister got the works with the same thing. I am extremely disappointed after spending over $200 and only 1 of us was happy with our outcome. I would consider going back but I'll really have to think about it. read more

I got a gift certificate for xmas and finally got around to getting a gel french pedicure right before I went away in April. I am now due for one almost 2 months later!!! I couldn't believe how long it lasted and stayed looking fresh. I unfortunately forget my nail tech's name, but she was so pleasant and did an unbelievable job. I was very impressed on how immaculate the salon is and how professional the staff is. I would definitely go back & recommend to a friend! ONLY downside is they are very pricey. I usually LOVE coming here and have a good experience, but yesterday was so disappointing. I came on my birthday to relax and pamper myself, but the technician I had was horrible. The massage and scrubbing during my pedicure was weak and half-assed. Then I get a gel manicure -- same thing. He didn't cut any of my cuticles or soak my fingers in the soapy water. On top of it he "massaged" my hands for a total of 30 seconds; no exaggeration. I never write reviews, but my index finger has already chipped. read more

This was my first time at Aria and Paul did a great job!! Super clean and beautiful atmosphere. I felt like I got so much out of my mani pedi. I've definitely paid similar prices for far less. It flies by, but the quality is fantastic and they do so much for you. Paraffin dips are included and the massage chairs are wonderful. Plus, they give you a massage during your manicure. I have been to this salon twice before but only for a manicure. The first one, which was in Feb 2015, was really nice. It was a young woman who did my nails and gave me a nice hot stone massage while the wax was drying. The 2nd time I went, in March 2015, I got a man. Very rough and hard and could not understand English. His masaage was was PAINFUL (at least he understood the word Ouch!) and he was pulling and stretching my arms up in the air. I wasn't happy when I left BUT I thought I'd give it another try. So I did. I went on 8/12/15. I made an appt and REQUESTED a woman. When I arrived, I was asked to sit in the waiting are. No big deal. Then, I see the manager pull a guy off a client he was giving a pedicure to so he could "do me." I was like "No! Finish her. I can wait for someone else." But that fell on deaf ears and I got a man. The SAME MAN that gave me the rough masaage the last time I was there. I said I could wait for a woman but he seemed insistant that I go with this guy. So I did, reluctantly. I asked him not to file my nails down too short and he did. I have little stubs for nails. He gave me the same type of massage (I was hoping he'd been trained to do a massage like the other clients were getting with the hot stone, but he didn't). It was very disappointing to watch these other clients getting a nice GENTLE hot stone massage while I was getting pulled and stretched even though I said Stop! That's enough. Thank you. And I barely got a hand & arm massage. OK. Onto the pedicure. I asked him not to cut my toenails too short. He barely touched them! So now, instead of me getting another pedi in 4 weeks like I normally do, I have to go back in two weeks! And again, barely a leg and foot massage. I get my nails done MOSTLY for the massage. The nicely painted nails are, to me, a bonus. Massages are relaxing. That's why I get my nails done. To relax. AND ... while I was getting my pedi, I looked down the line and there were 2 clients getting a pedi also BUT, they each had a woman/girl at each hand giving them a mani. That is SO awkward and FAR from relaxing...I'd never stand for that. It was bad enough that I gave in to letting this man do my nails and not insist I wait for a woman. Having said that, I was also disappointed in the price. I understand it's a little more with the parafin wax. But I'm also used to getting $5 off when getting a mani & pedi together. They didn't do that here. Therefore, I will not be going back to this place. It was awkward, uncomfortable, and not very relaxing. read more

I keep hearing great things about this place. So I keep giving them another shot thinking I got them on an off day. The service there is good, the polish doesn't last. I went over the weekend for a mani/pedi and upgraded to the long lasting (hybrid) polish that they say lasts a week. I had several noticeably chipped nails within 24 hours. I've mostly been very happy with all my experiences at Aria. I've recommended all my friends and family to them. Typically I find my experience very enjoyable and feel very happy and relaxed every time I leave. They give amazing massages with each nail service I've had. Over the past few months I've noticed some changes that I feel are taking away from the relaxation that I was so enjoying. I understand the need to keep the services a within a certain time limit. To keep that feeling of relaxation flowing, perhaps a more subtle/quieter way to keep within those limits. Removing the constantly beeping timers would really do wonders. Its hard to really enjoy yourself with each pedicurist setting timers and timers beeping all over the place. One of the guys I had was pretty rough with my feet and I really had a hard time relaxing at all that day. Other than that my experience has been very good. Also, who doesn't love owners who are responsive to people's experiences?! I'll keep going. read more

Very happy with the mani/pedi services! My friend and I recently went to Aria in Wakefield for a manicure and pedicure and selected a basic manicure and the lemon pedicure. We were very happy with the great service and all that is included in the package. It was almost two hours including a mask on the calves, callous treatment on feet with heated booties, followed with hot stone massage on calves and nail color. The nails included cleaning, massage and paraffin with mitts then color and a wonderful hot stone shoulder massage while you dry! For about $80 a person, including tip, this was the best manicure and pedicure that my friend and I have had, including from a full service spa and we have had many, at many different places. We are making this a quarterly treat! We highly recommend! The place was very busy while we were there too, so a reservation is recommended. I am so disappointed with the 15 minute pedicure that I paid $35 for! I use to come here all the time and loved it. This place has obviously gone down hill. My pedicure started fifteen minutes after my friends and I was done 20 minutes before her! She rushed through the whole thing. Scrubbed my feet for all of five seconds and didn't even take my old polish off. I got a light colored polish and you can see my old dark nail polish in the middle of my toe nail!! Best part is the nail tech waited over me after until I gave her a tip. I shouldn't of given her anything but I felt so pressured with her standing over me. Truly outstanding. Higher end than most nail salons. More of a spa feel. Manicure and pedicure are top notch with outstanding massage included. The staff are so professional. They even wear white lab coats which I think is a very nice professional feature. The place is very well designed and super clean. I love how they keep the space quiet and peaceful. Never any yelling or chatting between staff like in some other nail salons. The gentlemen staff are particularly talented at massage. All staff are considerate, kind and welcoming. read more

These guys are amazing! I got a manicure with a paraffin wax for my hands, a neck and shoulder massage, and perfectly shaped natural nails. All for $15! I couldn't believe it! With everything Jenny did, I was expecting $25 charge. Nope. Only $15. Plus she gave me a coupon for next time so it will be $10. My hands were so soft and moisturized, nails were cleaned up and neat looking with a pretty light pink color. Couldn't be happier! Ask for Jenny. read more

I have only been here once, a couple of years ago and didn't have a great experience at the time. Today turned that around for me. I have my "regular" place that I go to on the other side of Wakefield and I love it, and I will continue to go there. But they were busy and I was in a pinch today because I had an event tonight, so I walked over to ARIA to see if they could take me. I was greeted by a pleasant front desk person, who quickly ushered me to pick a color and showed me to my nail technician's table. I believe my tech was Mike, he was a very nice young man. He was pleasant and efficient and did a great manicure. The only thing I don't understand is why they don't soak your hands and trim your cuticles? He trimmed a little dead skin, but not like a typical, full manicure. However, after he was done, he dipped my hands in paraffin and gave a massage which was nice. He was very gentle, could have used more pressure but did a good job! I still feel it's slightly overpriced compared to other salons in the area, but they do provide extra services. read more

So disappointed with my appointment for a mani/pedi on Saturday. This isn't my usual place, but I've been a few times as a treat (since they are priced higher than others). I had a gift certificate to use and thought I'd call them. Before I went I read their reviews on yelp, as I always do, and they were definitely mixed, majority saying they'd been rushed. Deciding to keep an open mind, I went ahead anyway. My appointment was at 3 and by 3:45 I was already at the drying station! What? For both services?? As a matter of fact, when I sat at the pedi station, the woman next to me was far into her pedicure and I was in and out of the chair before she was even done! Crazy. Honestly I think the whole thing was 20 minutes. I do like the extras they provide, such as the hot wax on your heels and the neck massage when they put the mitts on your hands. I think the massage on my legs and feet was literally less than a minute for each. I'm sure others agree that getting your hands and feet done is a bit of a treat and should be relaxing. I never felt relaxed at all. Sad...when they first opened they took time to do things right. Mani/pedi looks okay so far, but as far as the services go, they certainly were lacking. read more

I recently went to aria for a pedicure and shellac. The experience is always great. However I am NEVER happy with the polish. I spent $80 for my shellac to peel only 4 days later! I kept going back because their are welcoming and I love the massage/ hot stone and paraffin wax. I WILL NOT be returning again. A shellac should last at least 2 weeks sometimes 3! She was also rude to my daughter very disrespectful to make to make me tip her more n didn't listen to how I wanted my nails and the design on it.
