What a great job he did. I wanted gel - a French manicure with a particular color for the base. Michael accommodated me. He was very careful to be sure that all of the nails were the same length and shape, and the French manicure is perfect. I believe I have found my new nail salon!

The salon was easy to find and had a little parking lot (it is next to a European Wax Center). It is a smaller salon with maybe 6-8 stations each for manicures and pedicures. They had a pretty large color selection that was well organized. I was greeted as I entered the salon, and since I had an appointment, they knew (and greeted me by) my name. It took as long as it took me to pick a color to be seated in the chair ready to go. My technician was Luci. She was very friendly and did a great job. She was thorough and took her time, but was still timely. She checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I liked the shape, length, color, etc. The prices at Pretty in Polish are competitive and well priced. They accept tips via cash and Venmo, and had the Venmo QR codes posted - which is super helpful given most people, myself especially, do not usually carry cash on hand. I would definitely consider this salon again if I need services in the area and would recommend if you are looking for a small, quiet salon.

With Mother's Day tomorrow, I decided to treat myself to a pedicure. I booked an appointment…read moreonline in advance and received a confirmation. I arrived for my appointment on time and noticed quite a few women waiting. I was told to pick out my polish and "wait." After about 15 minutes, 2 women complained that their appointment was for "45 min ago." After a bit, they were told to sit in the pedicure chairs but they were left unattended for quite a while again. Several of the other women who were waiting unhappily left. ( I should have as well. :- (. Almost an hour after my scheduled appt, I was seated and told to place my feet in water which had quite a few bubbles... I tried to make sure no fragrance was added (causes rash) but man who appeared to be in charge said "little English" and no one could help! I finally figured out it wasn't scented. The pedicure was okay though rushed. I was sent to drying area and told to "wait". After quite a while, I was checking my nails and noticed that the tissue used to separate my toes (instead of the foam ones other salons use) had stuck to one nail. I showed it to her and, with attitude she "fixed it" and told me to "wait " again. Again... she did not come back. I had a 12:15 appt... it was then 3 pm ( for a basic pedicure!). I went to the desk and paid and left, heading to my car. Next thing I hear "manager " yelling at me about not leaving a tip (I actually planned to and had it in my pocket but, with all the other drama, forgot). He actually had chased me into the parking lot!! tried to explain what happened but he was causing a huge embarrassing scene. At over 70 years old, I've never been treated so inappropriately and rudely !!! He told me it was my fault my toes were too close ( ummm never been an issue before!!). Then insisted (loudly) that I return to shop for "refund" People were staring... I was about to cry and told him ... I just wanted "to go home"... (I certainly did not want to be subjected to further abuse ). As I walked towards my car, he was still yelling. I cried on the way home: "Happy Mother's Day to me!!!" If you are in need of a nail treatment, I highly encourage you to seek any other establishment.

It honestly looks like a child did my nails; there are clumps and streaks all over and this was shellac, so I don't even know how this could have happened since it goes straight from the brush to the UV dryer.
